Proverbs 19
1 Better is the poor man, that walketh in his simplicity, than a rich man that is perverse in his lips, and unwise.
ಬುದ್ಧಿಹೀನನ ವಕ್ರ ತುಟಿಗಳಿಗಿಂತ, ನಿರ್ದೋಷವಾಗಿ ನಡೆಯುವ ಬಡವನು ಉತ್ತಮ.
2 Where there is no knowledge of the soul, there is no good: and he that is hasty with his feet shall stumble.
ಪರಿಜ್ಞಾನವಿಲ್ಲದ ಆಸಕ್ತಿಯು ಯುಕ್ತವಲ್ಲ; ತನ್ನ ಹೆಜ್ಜೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ದುಡುಕುವವನು ದಾರಿ ತಪ್ಪುವನು.
3 The folly of a man supplanteth his seeps: and he fretteth in his mind against God.
ಮನುಷ್ಯನ ಬುದ್ಧಿಹೀನತೆ ಅವನ ದುರ್ಗತಿಗೆ ದಾರಿಯಾಗಿದೆ, ಆದರೂ ಅವನ ಹೃದಯವು ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರಿಗೆ ವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿ ಉರಿಗೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತದೆ.
4 Riches make many friends: but from the poor man, even they whom he had, depart.
ಸಂಪತ್ತು ಅನೇಕ ಮಂದಿ ಸ್ನೇಹಿತರನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತದೆ; ಆದರೆ ಬಡವನು ತನ್ನ ಆಪ್ತಸ್ನೇಹಿತನಿಂದ ದೂರವಾಗುತ್ತಾನೆ.
5 A false witness shall not be unpunished: and he that speaketh lies shall not escape.
ಸುಳ್ಳುಸಾಕ್ಷಿಯು ದಂಡನೆಯನ್ನು ಹೊಂದದಿರನು; ಸುಳ್ಳಾಡುವವನು ತಪ್ಪಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳದೆ ಇರಲಾರನು.
6 Many honour the person of him that is mighty, and are friends of him that giveth gifts.
ಅನೇಕರು ಅಧಿಪತಿಯಿಂದ ಸಹಾಯ ಪಡೆಯುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಕಾಣಿಕೆಗಳನ್ನು ಕೊಡುವವನಿಗೆ ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಬ್ಬನೂ ಸ್ನೇಹಿತನೇ.
7 The brethren of the poor man hate him: moreover also his friends have departed far from him. He that followeth after words only, shall have nothing.
ಬಡವನ ಬಂಧುಗಳೆಲ್ಲರು ಅವನನ್ನು ಹಗೆ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಾರೆ; ತನ್ನ ಸ್ನೇಹಿತರು ತನ್ನಿಂದ ಎಷ್ಟೋ ಹೆಚ್ಚಾಗಿ ದೂರ ಹೋಗುತ್ತಾರಲ್ಲವೇ? ಮಾತುಗಳಿಂದ ಅವನು ಮೊರೆಯಿಟ್ಟು ಹಿಂಬಾಲಿಸಿದರೂ ಅವನಿಗೆ ಏನೂ ದೊರಕದು.
8 But he that possesseth a mind, loveth his own soul, and he that keepeth prudence shall find good things.
ಜ್ಞಾನವನ್ನು ಸಂಪಾದಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವವನು ತನ್ನ ಪ್ರಾಣವನ್ನೇ ಪ್ರೀತಿಸುತ್ತಾನೆ; ತಿಳುವಳಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ಪ್ರೀತಿಸುವವನು ಶೀಘ್ರದಲ್ಲೇ ಏಳಿಗೆ ಹೊಂದುತ್ತಾನೆ.
9 A false witness shall not be unpunished: and he that speaketh lies, shall perish.
ಸುಳ್ಳುಸಾಕ್ಷಿಯು ಶಿಕ್ಷೆಹೊಂದದೇ ಇರುವುದಿಲ್ಲ; ಸುಳ್ಳಾಡುವವನು ಹಾಳಾಗಿ ಹೋಗುವನು.
10 Delicacies are not seemly for a fool: nor for a servant to have rule over princes.
ಬುದ್ಧಿಹೀನನಿಗೆ ಭೋಗಜೀವನವು ಯುಕ್ತವಲ್ಲ; ಅಧಿಪತಿಗಳ ಮೇಲೆ ದೊರೆತನ ಮಾಡುವುದು ಸೇವಕನಿಗೆ ಯುಕ್ತವೇ ಅಲ್ಲ.
11 The learning of a man is known by patience and his glory is to pass over wrongs.
ಮನುಷ್ಯನ ಜ್ಞಾನವು ತಾಳ್ಮೆಯನ್ನು ನೀಡುತ್ತದೆ; ಅಪರಾಧವನ್ನು ಲಕ್ಷಿಸದೆ ಇರುವುದು ಅವನಿಗೆ ಮಹಿಮೆಯಾಗಿದೆ.
12 As the roaring of a lion, so also is the anger of a king: and his cheerfulness as the dew upon the grass.
ಅರಸನ ಕೋಪವು ಸಿಂಹದ ಘರ್ಜನೆಯಂತಿದೆ; ಆದರೆ ಅವನ ದಯೆಯು ಹುಲ್ಲಿನ ಮೇಲಿರುವ ಇಬ್ಬನಿಯಂತಿದೆ.
13 A foolish son is the grief of his father: and a wrangling wife is like a roof continually dropping through.
ಬುದ್ಧಿಹೀನನಾದ ಮಗನು ತನ್ನ ತಂದೆಗೆ ಹಾನಿಕರನು; ಜಗಳವಾಡುವ ಹೆಂಡತಿ ಯಾವಾಗಲೂ ತೊಟ್ಟಿಕ್ಕುವ ಹನಿ.
14 House and riches are given by parents: but a prudent wife is properly from the Lord.
ಮನೆಯೂ ಸಂಪತ್ತೂ ಪಿತೃಗಳ ಸ್ವಾಸ್ತ್ಯವು; ವಿವೇಕಿಯಾದ ಹೆಂಡತಿಯು ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರಿಂದಲೇ.
15 Slothfulness casteth into a deep sleep, and an idle soul shall suffer hunger.
ಮೈಗಳ್ಳತನವು ಗಾಢನಿದ್ರೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಮುಳುಗಿಸುತ್ತದೆ; ಸೋಮಾರಿಯು ಹಸಿವೆಗೊಳ್ಳುವನು.
16 He that keepeth the commandment, keepeth his own soul: but he that neglecteth his own way, shall die.
ಯಾರು ಆಜ್ಞೆಗಳನ್ನು ಪಾಲಿಸುತ್ತಾನೋ ಅವನು ತನ್ನ ಜೀವವನ್ನು ಉಳಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಾನೆ, ಆದರೆ ಅವುಗಳನ್ನು ಅಸಡ್ಡೆ ಮಾಡುವವನು ಸಾಯುವನು.
17 He that hath mercy on the poor, lendeth to the Lord: and he will repay him.
ಬಡವರಿಗೆ ದಯೆ ತೋರಿಸುವವನು ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರಿಗೆ ಸಾಲ ಕೊಡುತ್ತಾನೆ; ಆತನು ಅವನ ಉಪಕಾರಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಪ್ರತ್ಯುಪಕಾರ ಮಾಡುವನು.
18 Chastise thy son, despair not: but to the killing of him set not thy soul.
ಇನ್ನೂ ನಿರೀಕ್ಷೆ ಇರುವಾಗಲೇ ನಿನ್ನ ಮಗನನ್ನು ಶಿಕ್ಷಿಸು; ಅವನ ಮರಣಕ್ಕೆ ನೀನು ಕಾರಣನಾಗಬೇಡ.
19 He that is impatient, shall suffer damage: and when he shall take away he shall add another thing.
ಕೋಪಿಷ್ಟನು ಶಿಕ್ಷೆಯನ್ನು ಅನುಭವಿಸುವನು; ಅವನನ್ನು ನೀನು ಬಿಡಿಸಿದರೆ, ತಿರುಗಿ ನೀನು ಬಿಡಿಸಬೇಕಾಗುವುದು.
20 Hear counsel, and receive instruction, that thou mayst be wise in thy latter end.
ಬುದ್ಧಿವಾದವನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿ, ಶಿಕ್ಷಣವನ್ನು ಅಂಗೀಕರಿಸು; ಕಡೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ನೀನು ಜ್ಞಾನಿಯಾಗುವೆ.
21 There are many thoughts in the heart of a man: but the will of the Lord shall stand firm.
ಮನುಷ್ಯನ ಹೃದಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಅನೇಕ ಯೋಜನೆಗಳಿವೆ; ಆದರೂ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರ ಸಂಕಲ್ಪವೇ ಈಡೇರುವುದು.
22 A needy man is merciful: and better is the poor than the lying man.
ನಿಷ್ಠೆಯು ಮನುಷ್ಯನನ್ನು ಆಕರ್ಷಕನನ್ನಾಗಿ ಮಾಡುತ್ತದೆ. ಬಡವನು ಸುಳ್ಳುಗಾರನಿಗಿಂತ ಲೇಸು.
23 The fear of the Lord is unto life: and he shall abide in fulness without being visited with evil.
ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರ ಭಯವು ಜೀವದಾಯಕವು; ಆಗ ಅವನು ತೃಪ್ತನಾಗಿ ನೆಲೆಗೊಳ್ಳುವನು; ಅವನಿಗೆ ಕೇಡು ಸಂಭವಿಸುವುದಿಲ್ಲ.
24 The slothful hideth his hand under his armpit, and will not so much as bring it to his mouth.
ಮೈಗಳ್ಳನು ಪಾತ್ರೆಯೊಳಗೆ ತನ್ನ ಕೈಯನ್ನು ಮುಳುಗಿಸಿ, ಅವನು ಅದನ್ನು ಮತ್ತೆ ತನ್ನ ಬಾಯಿಗೆ ತರುವುದಿಲ್ಲ!
25 The wicked man being; scourged, the fool shall be wiser: but if thou rebuke a wise man he will understand discipline.
ಪರಿಹಾಸ್ಯಗಾರನನ್ನು ಹೊಡೆದರೆ, ಮುಗ್ಧರು ಎಚ್ಚರಗೊಳ್ಳುವರು; ವಿವೇಕಿಯನ್ನು ಗದರಿಸಿದರೆ, ಅವನು ಪರಿಜ್ಞಾನವನ್ನು ಗ್ರಹಿಸುವನು.
26 He that afflicteth his father, and chaseth away his mother, is infamous and unhappy.
ಯಾರು ತಂದೆಯನ್ನು ದೋಚಿಕೊಂಡು ತಾಯಿಯನ್ನು ಓಡಿಸುವರೋ ನಾಚಿಕೆಯನ್ನುಂಟುಮಾಡಿ, ನಿಂದೆಯನ್ನು ತರುತ್ತಾರೆ.
27 Cease not, O my son, to hear instruction, and be not ignorant of the words of knowledge.
ಮಗನೇ, ನೀನು ಬುದ್ಧಿವಾದಕ್ಕೆ ಲಕ್ಷ್ಯಕೊಡದಿದ್ದರೆ, ಪರಿಜ್ಞಾನದ ಮಾತುಗಳಿಂದ ದಾರಿತಪ್ಪುವೆ.
28 An unjust witness scorneth judgment: and the mouth of the wicked devoureth iniquity.
ಭ್ರಷ್ಟನ ಸಾಕ್ಷಿಯು ನ್ಯಾಯತೀರ್ಪನ್ನು ಗೇಲಿ ಮಾಡುತ್ತದೆ; ದುಷ್ಟನ ಬಾಯಿಯು ದ್ರೋಹವನ್ನು ನುಂಗುವುದು.
29 Judgments are prepared for scorners: and striking hammers for the bodies of fools.
ಪರಿಹಾಸ್ಯಗಾರರಿಗೆ ನ್ಯಾಯ ತೀರ್ಪುಗಳೂ, ಬುದ್ಧಿಹೀನರ ಬೆನ್ನಿಗೆ ಪೆಟ್ಟುಗಳೂ ಸಿದ್ಧವಾಗಿವೆ.
