Proverbs 14
1 A wise woman buildeth her house: but the foolish will pull down with her hands that also which is built.
၁ပညာရှိသောမိန်းမသည် မိမိအိမ်ကို တည် ဆောက်တတ်၏။ မိုက်သောမိန်းမမူကား၊ ကိုယ်လက်နှင့် ဖြိုဖျက်တတ်၏။
2 He that walketh in the right way, and feareth God, Cis despised by him that goeth by an infamous way.
၂ဖြောင့်သောလမ်းသို့လိုက်သောသူသည် ထာဝရ ဘုရားကို ကြောက်ရွံ့တတ်၏။ ကောက်သောလမ်းသို့ လိုက်သောသူမူကား၊ မထီမဲ့မြင်ပြုတတ်၏။
3 In the mouth of a fool is the rod of pride: but the lips of the wise preserve them.
၃မိုက်သောသူ၏ နှုတ်၌မာနကြိမ်လုံးရှိ၏။ ပညာ ရှိသောသူ၏ နှုတ်ခမ်းတို့သည် ကယ်တင်သောအမှုကို ပြုတတ်၏။
4 Where there are no oxen, the crib is empty: but where there is much corn, there the strength of the ox is manifest.
၄နွားထီးမရှိသော တင်းကုပ်သည် စင်ကြယ်၏။ သို့သော်လည်း၊ နွားခွန်အားကိုသုံး၍ များသောစီးပွားကို ရတတ်၏။
5 A faithful witness will not lie: but a deceitful witness uttereth a lie.
၅သစ္စာရှိသောသက်သေသည် မုသာမသုံးတတ်။ သစ္စာပျက်သော သက်သေမူကား၊ မုသာကိုသုံးတတ်၏။
6 A scorner seeketh wisdom, and findeth it not: the learning of the wise is easy.
၆မထီမဲ့မြင်ပြုသောသူသည် ပညာကိုရှာ၍ မတွေ့ရာ။ ဥာဏ်ရှိသောသူမူကား၊ ပညာအတတ်ကို ရလွယ်၏။
7 Go against a foolish man, and he knoweth not the lips of prudence.
၇မိုက်သောသူနှင့်တွေ့၍ သူ၏နှုတ်၌ ပညာ အတတ်မရှိသည်ကို သိမြင်လျှင်၊ ထိုသူကို ရှောင်သွား လော့။
8 The wisdom of a. discreet man is to understand his way: and the imprudence of fools erreth.
၈ပညာသတိရှိသော သူ၏ပညာကား၊ ကိုယ်သွား ရသော လမ်းကို သိခြင်းတည်း။ မိုက်သောသူ၏ မိုက်ခြင်း မူကား၊ ပရိယာယ်တည်း။
9 A fool will laugh at sin, but among the just grace shall abide.
၉မိုက်သောသူတို့သည် ဒုစရိုက်အပြစ်ကို မထီ လေးစားပြုကြ၏။ ဖြောင့်မတ်သော သူတို့မူကား၊ တယောက်ကိုတယောက် ကျေးဇူးပြုကြ၏။
10 The heart that knoweth the bitterness of his own soul, in his joy the stranger shall not intermeddle.
၁၀စိတ်နှလုံးသည် မိမိဒုက္ခကို သိ၏။ စိတ်နှလုံး ရွှင်လန်းခြင်း အကြောင်းကိုလည်း သူတပါးမဆိုင်တတ်။
11 The house of the wicked shall be destroyed: but the tabernacles of the just shall flourish.
၁၁မတရားသောသူ၏အိမ်သည် ပြိုလဲတတ်၏။ ဖြောင့်မတ်သော သူ၏တဲမူကား၊ ပွင့်လန်းတတ်၏။
12 There is a way which seemeth just to a man: but the ends thereof lead to death.
၁၂လူထင်သည်အတိုင်း မှန်သောလက္ခဏာရှိသော် လည်း၊ အဆုံး၌ သေခြင်းသို့ပို့သော လမ်းတမျိုးရှိ၏။
13 Laughter shall be mingled with sorrow, and mourning taketh hold of the end of joy.
၁၃လူသည် ရယ်စဉ်အခါပင်၊ ဝမ်းနည်းသော စိတ် သဘောရှိ၏။ ထိုရယ်မောရွှင်လန်းခြင်းအဆုံး၌လည်း ညှိုးငယ်ခြင်းရှိတတ်၏။
14 A fool shall be filled with his own ways, and the good man shall be above him.
၁၄စိတ်နှလုံးဖေါက်ပြန်သောသူဖြစ်စေ၊ သူတော် ကောင်းဖြစ်စေ၊ မိမိအကျင့်တို့နှင့်ဝလိမ့်မည်။
15 The innocent believeth every word: the discreet man considereth his steps. No good shall come to the deceitful son: but the wise servant shall prosper in his dealings, and his way shall be made straight.
၁၅ဥာဏ်တိမ်သော သူသည်သူတပါး ပြောသမျှကို ယုံတတ်၏။ ပညာသတိရှိသောသူမူကား၊ မိမိသွားရာ လမ်းကို စေ့စေ့ကြည့်ရှုတတ်၏။
16 A wise man feareth and declineth from evil: the fool leapeth over and is confident.
၁၆ပညာရှိသောသူသည် ကြောက်၍ ဒုစရိုက်ကို ရှောင်တတ်၏။ မိုက်သောသူမူကား မာနကြီး၍ ရဲရင့် တတ်၏။
17 The impatient man shall work folly: and the crafty man is hateful.
၁၇စိတ်တိုသောသူသည် မိုက်စွာသောအမှုကို ပြုတတ်၏။ မကောင်းသောအကြံကို ကြံသောသူကိုလည်း သူတပါးမုန်းလိမ့်မည်။
18 The childish shall possess folly, and the prudent, shall look for knowledge.
၁၈ဥာဏ်တိမ်သော သူသည်မိုက်ခြင်းကို အမွေခံ တတ်၏။ ပညာသတိရှိသောသူမူကား၊ သိပ္ပံသရဖူကို ဆောင်းတတ်၏။
19 The evil shall fall down before the good: and the wicked before the gates of the just.
၁၉လူဆိုးတို့သည် သူတော်ကောင်းရှေ့၌၎င်း၊ မတရားသောသူတို့သည် ဖြောင့်မတ်သောသူ၏ အိမ် တံခါးဝ၌၎င်း ဦးချတတ်ကြ၏။
20 The poor man shall be hateful even to his own neighbour: but the friends of the rich are many.
၂၀ဆင်းရဲသောသူသည် မိမိအိမ်နီးချင်း မုန်းခြင်း ကိုပင် ခံရမည်။ ငွေရတတ်သောသူ၌မူကား၊ များစွာ သော အဆွေခင်ပွန်းရှိလိမ့်မည်။
21 He that despiseth his neighbour, sinneth: but he that sheweth mercy to the poor, shall be blessed. He that believeth in the Lord, loveth mercy.
၂၁မိမိအိမ်နီးချင်းကို မထီမဲ့မြင်ပြုသော သူသည် အပြစ်ရှိ၏။ ဆင်းရဲသော သူကိုသနားသောသူမူကား၊ မင်္ဂလာရှိ၏။
22 They err that work evil: but mercy and truth prepare good things.
၂၂မကောင်းသော အကြံကိုကြံတတ်သော သူတို့ သည် မှားယွင်းကြလိမ့်မည်။ ကျေးဇူးပြုမည်ဟု ကြံတတ် သောသူတို့မူကား၊ ကရုဏာအကျိုး နှင့်သစ္စာအကျိုးကို ခံရကြလိမ့်မည်။
23 In much work there shall be abundance: but where there are many words, there is oftentimes want.
၂၃ကြိုးစား၍ လုပ်လေရာရာ၌ကျေးဇူးရှိ၏။ စကား များခြင်းအကျိုးမူကား၊ ဆင်းရဲခြင်းသက်သက်တည်း။
24 The crown of the wise is their riches: the folly of fools, imprudence.
၂၄ပညာရှိသောသူတို့၏ စည်းစိမ်ဥစ္စာသည် သူတို့ ဦးရစ်သရဖူဖြစ်၏။ မိုက်သောသူတို့၏ မိုက်ခြင်းမူကား၊ အမိုက်သက်သက်ဖြစ်၏။
25 A faithful witness delivereth souls: and the double dealer uttereth lies.
၂၅မှန်သောသက်သေသည် သူ့အသက်ကို ကယ် တင်တတ်၏။ မမှန်သောသက်သေမူကား၊ မုသာကို သုံးတတ်၏။
26 In the fear of the Lord is confidence of strength, and there shall be hope for his children.
၂၆ထာဝရဘုရားကို ကြောက်ရွံ့ခြင်းသည် အားကြီး သော ကိုးစားရာအခွင့်ကိုဖြစ်စေတတ်၏။ သားတော်တို့ သည်လည်း ၊ ခိုလှုံရာအရပ်ကို ရကြလိမ့်မည်။
27 The fear of the Lord is a fountain of life, to decline from the ruin of death.
၂၇ထာဝရဘုရားကို ကြောက်ရွံ့သောသဘောသည် အသေခံရာ ကျော့ကွင်းတို့မှ လွှဲရှောင်ရာအသက် စမ်းရေ တွင်းဖြစ်၏။
28 In the multitude of people is the dignity of the king: and in the small number of people the dishonour of the prince.
၂၈ပြည်သားများပြားရာ၌ ရှင်ဘုရင်၏ဘုန်းတော် တည်၏။ ပြည်သားနည်းပါးရာ၌ကား၊ မင်းအကျိုးနည်း ခြင်းရှိ၏။
29 He that is patient, is governed with much wisdom: but he that is impatient, exalteth his folly.
၂၉စိတ်ရှည်သောသူသည် ပညာကြီး၏။ စိတ်တို သောသူမူကား၊ အထူးသဖြင့် မိုက်ပေ၏။
30 Soundness of heart is the life of the flesh: but envy is the rottenness of the bones.
၃၀ကျန်းမာသောနှလုံးသည် ကိုယ်အသက်ရှင်စေ သောအကြောင်း၊ ငြူစူသော သဘောမူကား၊ အရိုး ဆွေးမြေ့ခြင်းအကြောင်းဖြစ်၏။
31 He that oppresseth the poor, upbraideth his Maker: but he that hath pity on the poor, honoureth him.
၃၁ဆင်းရဲသားတို့ကို ညှဉ်းဆဲသောသူသည် ဖန် ဆင်းတော်မူသော ဘုရားကိုကဲ့ရဲ့၏။ ဘုရားကို ရိုသေ သောသူမူကား၊ ဆင်းရဲသောသူတို့ကို သနားတတ်၏။
32 The wicked man shall be driven out in his wickedness: but the just hath hope in his death.
၃၂မတရားသောသူသည် မတရားသဖြင့် ပြုစဉ် အခါ၊ လှဲခြင်းကို ခံရ၏။ ဖြောင့်မတ်သောသူမူကား၊ သေသောအခါ၌ပင် မြော်လင့်စရာရှိ၏။
33 In the heart of the prudent resteth wisdom, and it shall instruct all the ignorant.
၃၃ဥာဏ်ရှိသောသူ၏ နှလုံး၌ပညာကျိန်းဝပ်တတ် ၏။ မိုက်သောသူတို့၏အထဲ၌ ရှိသောအရာမူကား၊ ထင်ရှားတတ်၏။
34 Justice exalteth a nation: but sin maketh nations miserable.
၃၄ဖြောင့်မတ်ခြင်းတရားသည် ပြည်သားတို့ကို ချီးမြှောက်တတ်၏။ ဒုစရိုက်အပြစ်မူကား၊ ပြည်သားများ တို့ကို ရှုတ်ချတတ်၏။
35 A wise servant is acceptable to the king: he that is good for nothing shall feel his anger.
၃၅ပညာရှိသော အကျွန်အားရှင်ဘုရင်သည် ကျေးဇူးပြုတတ်၏။ အရှက်ခွဲတတ်သော ကျွန်မူကား၊ အမျက်တော်ကို ခံရမည်။
