Numbers 4
1 And the Lord spoke to Moses, and Aaron, saying:
Habló Yahvé a Moisés y a Aarón, diciendo:
2 Take the sum of the sons of Caath from the midst of the Levites, by their houses and families.
“Haced el censo de los hijos de Caat, de entre los hijos de Leví, según sus familias y casas paternas,
3 From thirty years old and upward, to fifty years old, of all that go in to stand and to minister in the tabernacle of the covenant.
de treinta años para arriba, hasta los cincuenta, todos los que han de prestar servicio o ejercer alguna función en el Tabernáculo de la Reunión.
4 This is the service of the sons of Caath:
He aquí el oficio de los hijos de Caat relativo al Tabernáculo de la Reunión, el Santo de los Santos:
5 When the camp is to set forward, Aaron and his sons shall go into the tabernacle of the covenant, and the holy of holies, and shall take down the veil that hangeth before the door, and shall wrap up the ark of the testimony in it,
Siempre que haya de levantarse el campamento, entrará Aarón con sus hijos, para bajar la cortina del velo y cubrir con ella el Arca del Testimonio.
6 And shall cover it again with a cover of violet skins, and shall spread over it a cloth all of violet, and shall put in the bars.
Pondrán encima una cubierta de pieles de tejón, sobre la cual extenderán un paño todo de jacinto, y colocarán las varas.
7 They shall wrap up also the table of proposition in a cloth of violet, and shall put with it the censers and little mortars, the cups and bowls to pour out the libations: the leaves shall be always on it:
También sobre la mesa de la proposición extenderán un paño de jacinto, sobre el cual pondrán los platos, las cucharas, las tazas y las copas para las libaciones, quedando encima el pan perpetuo.
8 And they shall spread over it a cloth of scarlet, which again they shall cover with a covering of violet skins, and shall put in the bars.
Sobre ellos tenderán un paño carmesí, cubriéndolo con una cubierta de pieles de tejón, y colocarán las varas.
9 They shall take also a cloth of violet wherewith they shall cover the candlestick with the lamps and tongs thereof and the snuffers and all the oil vessels, which are necessary for the dressing of the lamps:
Luego tomarán una tela de jacinto con que cubrirán el candelabro del alumbrado, con sus lámparas, sus despabiladeras, sus platillos, y todos sus vasos para el aceite, todo lo necesario para su servicio.
10 And over all they shall put a cover of violet skins and put in the bars.
Lo envolverán, con todos sus utensilios, en una cubierta de pieles de tejón, y lo pondrán sobre las angarillas.
11 And they shall wrap up the golden altar also in a cloth of violet, and shall spread over it a cover of violet skins, and put in the bars.
También sobre el altar de oro tenderán un paño de jacinto, que cubrirán con una cubierta de pieles de tejón; y colocarán las varas.
12 All the vessels wherewith they minister in the sanctuary, they shall wrap up in a cloth of violet, and shall spread over it a cover of violet skins, and put in the bars.
Luego tomarán todos los utensilios que se usan para el servicio del Santuario, los envolverán en un paño de jacinto, cubriéndolos con una cubierta de pieles de tejón, y los pondrán sobre las angarillas.
13 They shall cleanse the altar also from the ashes, and shall wrap it up in a purple cloth,
Después quitarán las cenizas del altar, sobre el cual extenderán un paño de púrpura;
14 And shall put it with all the vessels that they use in the ministry thereof, that is to say, firepans, fleshhooks and forks, pothooks and shovels. They shall cover all the vessels of the altar together with a covering of violet skins, and shall put in the bars.
pondrán encima todos los utensilios necesarios para su servicio: los braseros, los tenedores, las paletas, los tazones, todos los utensilios del altar, extenderán sobre él una cubierta de pieles de tejón y colocarán sus varas.
15 And when Aaron and his sons have wrapped up the sanctuary and the vessels thereof at the removing of the camp, then shall the sons of Caath enter in to carry the things wrapped up: and they shall not touch the vessels of the sanctuary, lest they die. These are the burdens of the sons of Caath: in the tabernacle of the covenant:
Cuando Aarón y sus hijos hayan acabado de cubrir el Santuario y todos los enseres del Santuario y se levante el campamento, se llegarán los hijos de Caat para alzarlos; mas no tocarán el Santuario, no sea que mueran. Esto es lo que toca a los hijos de Caat (en el transporte) del Tabernáculo de la Reunión.
16 And over them shall be Eleazar the son of Aaron the priest, to whose charge pertaineth the oil to dress the lamps, and the sweet incense, and the sacrifice, that is always offered, and the oil of unction, and whatsoever pertaineth to the service of the tabernacle, and of all the vessels that are in the sanctuary.
Eleazar, hijo de Aarón el sacerdote, tendrá a su cargo el aceite del alumbrado, el incienso aromático, la oblación perpetua, el óleo de la unción, el cuidado de toda la Morada y de todo lo perteneciente a ella, de (todo) el Santuario con sus utensilios.”
17 And the Lord spoke to Moses and Aaron, saying:
Yahvé habló a Moisés y a Aarón, diciendo:
18 Destroy not the people of Caath from the midst of the Levites:
“No permitáis que el linaje de las familias de los caatitas sea extirpado de en medio de los levitas.
19 But do this to them, that they may live, and not die, by touching the holies of holies. Aaron and his sons shall go in, and they shall appoint every man his work, and shall divide the burdens that every man is to carry.
Para que vivan y no mueran, cuando se lleguen a las cosas santísimas, haced con ellos de esta manera: Aarón y sus hijos vendrán y señalarán a cada uno su servicio y lo que ha de transportar.
20 Let not others by any curiosity see the things that are in the sanctuary before they be wrapped up, otherwise they shall die.
Pero ellos no deben entrar, ni aun por un solo instante, para ver las cosas santas, no sea que mueran.”
21 And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying:
Yahvé habló a Moisés, diciendo:
22 Take the sum of the soils of Gerson also by their houses and families and kindreds.
“Haz también el censo de los hijos de Gersón, según sus casas paternas y sus familias.
23 From thirty Sears old and upward, unto fifty years old. Number them all that go in and minister in the tabernacle of the covenant.
Desde treinta años para arriba, hasta los cincuenta los contarás a todos los que han de prestar servicio o ejercer alguna función en el Tabernáculo de la Reunión.
24 This is the office of the family of the Gersonites:
He aquí el cargo de las familias de los gersonitas, tanto en el servicio como en el transporte.
25 To carry the curtains of the tabernacle and the roof of the covenant, the other covering, and the violet covering over all, and the hanging that hangeth in the entry of the tabernacle of the covenant,
Llevarán las cortinas de la Morada y el Tabernáculo de la Reunión, su cubierta, la cubierta de pieles de tejón que está encima de aquella, el velo que se halla en la entrada del Tabernáculo de la Reunión,
26 The curtains of the court, and the veil in the entry that is before the tabernacle. All things that pertain to the altar, the cords and the vessels of the ministry,
las cortinas del atrio y la cortina de la puerta de la entrada del atrio que rodea la Morada y el altar, con sus cuerdas y todos los utensilios de su servicio; harán todo lo referente a su servicio.
27 The sons of Gerson shall carry, by the commandment of Aaron and his sons: and each man shall know to what burden he must be assigned.
Todo el servicio de los gersonitas, en todo lo que han de transportar o de ejecutar, estará a las órdenes de Aarón y de sus hijos. Vosotros les señalaréis lo que es de su obligación, todo lo que han de transportar.
28 This is the service of the family of the Gersonites in the tabernacle of the covenant, and they shall be under the hand of Ithamar the son of Aaron the priest.
Este es el servicio de las familias de los gersonitas, relativo al Tabernáculo de la Reunión; el servicio de ellos estará bajo la dirección de Itamar, hijo del sacerdote Aarón.
29 Thou shalt reckon up the sons of Merari also by the families and houses of their fathers,
Haz también el censo de los hijos de Merarí según sus familias y sus casas paternas,
30 From thirty years old and upward, unto fifty years old, all that go in to the office of their ministry, and to the service of the covenant of the testimony.
contándolos desde los treinta años para arriba, hasta los cincuenta, a todos los que han de prestar servicio o ejercer alguna función en el Tabernáculo de la Reunión.
31 These are their burdens: They shall carry the boards of the tabernacle and the bars thereof, the pillars and their sockets,
He aquí los objetos del Tabernáculo de la Reunión, que tienen que llevar en todo su servicio: los tablones de la Morada, sus travesaños, sus columnas y sus basas,
32 The pillars also of the court round about, with their sockets and pins and cords. They shall receive by account all the vessels and furniture, and so shall carry them.
las columnas que rodean el atrio, sus basas, estacas y cuerdas, todos sus utensilios, y todo lo perteneciente a su servicio. Les señalaréis por nombre los objetos que tienen que transportar.
33 This is the office of the family of the Merarites, and their ministry in the tabernacle of the covenant: and they shall be under the hand of Ithamar the son of Aaron the priest.
Este es el oficio de las familias de los hijos de Merarí, conforme a todo su servicio en el Tabernáculo de la Reunión, bajo la dirección de Itamar, hijo de Aarón el sacerdote.”
34 So Moses and Aaron and the princes of the synagogue reckoned up the sons of Caath, by their kindreds and the houses of their fathers,
Moisés y Aarón y los príncipes de la Congregación contaron a los caatitas, según sus familias y sus casas paternas,
35 From thirty years old and upward, unto fifty years old, all that go in to the ministry of the tabernacle of the covenant:
de treinta años para arriba, hasta los cincuenta, a todos los que habían de prestar servicio o ejercer alguna función en el Tabernáculo de la Reunión.
36 And they were found two thousand seven hundred and fifty.
Y fueron los empadronados, según sus familias, dos mil setecientos cincuenta.
37 This is the number of the people of Caath that go in to the tabernacle of the covenant: these did Moses and Aaron number according to the word of the Lord by the hand of Moses.
Estos fueron los empadronados de las familias de los caatitas, todos aquellos que servían en el Tabernáculo de la Reunión, a quienes contaron Moisés y Aarón, conforme a la orden que Yahvé había dado por boca de Moisés.
38 The sons of Gerson also were numbered by the kindreds and houses of their fathers,
Los empadronados de los hijos de Gersón, contados según sus familias y sus casas paternas,
39 From thirty years old and upward, unto fifty years old, all that go in to minister in the tabernacle of the covenant:
de treinta años para arriba, hasta los cincuenta, todos los que habían de prestar servicio o ejercer alguna función en el Tabernáculo de la Reunión;
40 And they were found two thousand six hundred and thirty.
esos, empadronados según sus familias y sus casas paternas, fueron dos mil seiscientos treinta.
41 This is the people of the Gersonites, whom Moses and Aaron numbered according to the word of the Lord.
Estos son los empadronados de las familias de los hijos de Gersón, todos aquellos que servían en el Tabernáculo de la Reunión, a quienes Moisés y Aarón contaron por orden de Yahvé.
42 The sons of Merari also were numbered by the kindreds and houses of their fathers,
Los empadronados de las familias de los hijos de Merarí, según sus familias y sus casas paternas,
43 From thirty years old and upward, unto fifty years old, all that go in to fulfill the rites of the tabernacle of the covenant:
de treinta años para arriba, hasta los cincuenta, todos los que habían de prestar algún servicio o ejercer alguna función en el Tabernáculo de la Reunión;
44 And they were found three thousand two hundred.
esos empadronados según sus familias, fueron tres mil doscientos.
45 This is the number of the sons of Merari, whom Moses and Aaron reckoned up according to the commandment of the Lord by the hand of Moses.
Estos son los empadronados de las familias de los hijos de Merarí, a quienes Moisés y Aarón contaron por orden de Yahvé dada a Moisés.
46 All that were reckoned up of the Levites, and whom Moses and Aaron and the princes of Israel took by name, by the kindreds and houses of their fathers,
El total de los levitas contados por Moisés y Aarón y los príncipes de Israel, según sus familias y sus casas paternas,
47 From thirty years old and upward, until fifty years old, that go into the ministry of the tabernacle, and to carry the burdens,
de treinta años para arriba, hasta los cincuenta, todos aquellos que tenían una función en el servicio y en el transporte del Tabernáculo de la Reunión,
48 Were in all eight thousand five hundred and eighty.
su número fue de ocho mil quinientos ochenta.
49 Moses reckoned them up according to the word of the Lord, every one according to their office and burdens, as the Lord had commanded him.
Conforme a la orden de Yahvé dada a Moisés, este asignó a cada uno su ministerio y lo que había de transportar. Y los designados fueron aquellos que Yahvé había señalado a Moisés.
