Galatians 3
1 O senseless Galatians, who hath bewitched you that you should not obey the truth, before whose eyes Jesus Christ hath been set forth, crucified among you?
১হে নির্বোধ গালাতীয়েরা, কে তোমাদেরকে মুগ্ধ করল? তোমাদেরই চোখের সামনে যীশু খ্রীষ্ট ক্রুশারোপিত বলে বর্ণিত হয়নি?
2 This only would I learn of you: Did you receive the Spirit by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith?
২আমি শুধু এই কথা তোমাদের কাছে জানতে চাই, তোমরা কি ব্যবস্থার কাজের জন্য পবিত্র আত্মাকে পেয়েছ? না বিশ্বাসের সুসমাচার শ্রবণের জন্য?
3 Are you so foolish, that, whereas you began in the Spirit, you would now be made perfect by the flesh?
৩তোমরা কি এতই নির্বোধ? পবিত্র আত্মাতে শুরু করে এখন কি মাংসে শেষ করবে?
4 Have you suffered so great things in vain? If it be yet in vain.
৪তোমরা এত দুঃখ কি বৃথাই ভোগ করেছ, যদি প্রকৃত পক্ষে বৃথা হয়ে থাকে?
5 He therefore who giveth to you the Spirit, and worketh miracles among you; doth he do it by the works of the law, or by the hearing of the faith?
৫অতএব, যিনি তোমাকে পবিত্র আত্মা জুগিয়ে দেন ও তোমাদের মধ্যে আশ্চর্য্য কাজ সম্পন্ন করেন, তিনি কি ব্যবস্থার কাজের জন্য তা করেন? না বিশ্বাসের সুসমাচার শ্রবণের জন্য?
6 As it is written: Abraham believed God, and it was reputed to him unto justice.
৬যেমন অব্রাহাম, “ঈশ্বরে বিশ্বাস করলেন, আর সেটাই তাঁর পক্ষে ধার্ম্মিকতা বলে গণ্য হল।”
7 Know ye therefore, that they who are of faith, the same are the children of Abraham.
৭অতএব জেনো, যারা বিশ্বাস করে, তারাই অব্রাহামের সন্তান।
8 And the scripture, foreseeing, that God justifieth the Gentiles by faith, told unto Abraham before: In thee shall all nations be blessed.
৮আর বিশ্বাসের জন্য ঈশ্বর অইহূদিদেরকে ধার্মিক বলে চিহ্নিত করেন, শাস্ত্র এটা আগে দেখে অব্রাহামের কাছে আগেই সুসমাচার প্রচার করেছিল, যথা, “তোমার থেকে সমস্ত জাতি আশীর্বাদ পাবে।”
9 Therefore they that are of faith, shall be blessed with faithful Abraham.
৯অতএব যারা বিশ্বাস করে, তারা বিশ্বাসী অব্রাহামের সাথে আশীর্বাদ পায়।
10 For as many as are of the works of the law, are under a curse. For it is written: Cursed is every one, that abideth not in all things, which are written in the book of the law to do them.
১০বাস্তবিক যারা নিয়মের ক্রিয়া অনুযায়ী চলে, তারা সবাই অভিশাপের অধীন, কারণ লেখা আছে, “যে কেউ নিয়মগ্রন্থে লেখা সব কথা পালন করবার জন্য তাতে স্থির না থাকে, সে শাপগ্রস্ত।”
11 But that in the law no man is justified with God, it is manifest: because the just man liveth by faith.
১১কিন্তু মশির নিয়ম পালনের মাধ্যমে কেউই ঈশ্বরের সামনে ধার্মিক বলে চিহ্নিত হয় না, এটা সুস্পষ্ট, পবিত্র শাস্ত্রে লেখা আছে “কারণ ধার্মিক ব্যক্তি বিশ্বাসের জন্য বেঁচে থাকবে।”
12 But the law is not of faith: but, He that doth those things, shall live in them.
১২কিন্তু নিয়ম বিশ্বাসমূলক না, বরং “যে কেউ এই সকল পালন করে, সে তাতে বেঁচে থাকবে।”
13 Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written: Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree:
১৩খ্রীষ্টই মূল্য দিয়ে আমাদেরকে নিয়মের অভিশাপ থেকে মুক্ত করেছেন, কারণ তিনি আমাদের জন্যে শাপস্বরূপ হলেন; যেমন পবিত্র শাস্ত্রে লেখা আছে, “যাকে ক্রুশে টাঙ্গান যায়, সে শাপগ্রস্ত।”
14 That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Christ Jesus: that we may receive the promise of the Spirit by faith.
১৪যেন অব্রাহামের পাওয়া আশীর্বাদ খ্রীষ্ট যীশুতে অইহূদিদের প্রতি আসে, আমরা যেন বিশ্বাসের মাধ্যমে প্রতিজ্ঞার আত্মাকে পাই।
15 Brethren (I speak after the manner of man, ) yet a man’s testament, if it be confirmed, no man despiseth, nor addeth to it.
১৫হে ভাইয়েরা, আমি মানুষের মত বলছি। মানুষের নিয়মপত্র হলেও তা যখন প্রতিষ্ঠিত হয়, তখন কেউ তা বিফল করে না, কিংবা তাতে নতুন কথা যোগ করে না।
16 To Abraham were the promises made and to his seed. He saith not, And to his seeds, as of many: but as of one, And to thy seed, which is Christ.
১৬ভাল, অব্রাহামের প্রতি ও তাঁর বংশের প্রতি প্রতিজ্ঞা সকল বলা হয়েছিল। তিনি বহুবচনে আর বংশ সবের প্রতি না বলে, একবচনে বলেন, “আর তোমার বংশের প্রতি,” সেই বংশ খ্রীষ্ট।
17 Now this I say, that the testament which was confirmed by God, the law which was made after four hundred and thirty years, doth not disannul, to make the promise of no effect.
১৭এখন আমি এই বলি, যে চুক্তি ঈশ্বরের থেকে আগেই প্রতিষ্ঠিত হয়েছিল, চারশো ত্রিশ বছর পরে আসা নিয়ম সেই প্রতিজ্ঞাকে উঠিয়ে দিতে পারে না, যা প্রতিজ্ঞাকে বিফল করবে।
18 For if the inheritance be of the law, it is no more of promise. But God gave it to Abraham by promise.
১৮কারণ উত্তরাধিকার যদি নিয়মমূলক হয়, তবে আর প্রতিজ্ঞামূলক হতে পারে না; কিন্তু অব্রাহামকে ঈশ্বর প্রতিজ্ঞার মাধ্যমেই অনুগ্রহ করেছেন।
19 Why then was the law? It was set because of transgressions, until the seed should come, to whom he made the promise, being ordained by angels in the hand of a mediator.
১৯তবে নিয়ম কি? অপরাধের কারণ তা যোগ করা হয়েছিল, যে পর্যন্ত না সেই বংশ আসে, যাঁর কাছে প্রতিজ্ঞা করা হয়েছিল এবং সেই আদেশ দূতদের মাধ্যমে একজন মধ্যস্থের হাতে বিধিবদ্ধ হল।
20 Now a mediator is not of one: but God is one.
২০এখন এক মধ্যস্থকারী শুধু এক জনের মধ্যস্থ হয় না, কিন্তু ঈশ্বর এক।
21 Was the law then against the promises of God? God forbid. For if there had been a law given which could give life, verily justice should have been by the law.
২১তবে নিয়ম কি ঈশ্বরের প্রতিজ্ঞা কলাপের বিরুদ্ধে? একেবারেই না! ফলে যদি এমন নিয়ম দেওয়া হত, যা জীবন দান করতে পারে, তবে ধার্ম্মিকতা অবশ্য নিয়মমূলক হত।
22 But the scripture hath concluded all under sin, that the promise, by the faith of Jesus Christ, might be given to them that believe.
২২কিন্তু পরিবর্তে, শাস্ত্রে সবই পাপের অধীনে আটক করেছে, যেন নতুন নিয়ম ফল, যীশু খ্রীষ্টে বিশ্বাসের জন্য, বিশ্বাসীদেরকে রক্ষা করা যায়।
23 But before the faith came, we were kept under the law shut up, unto that faith which was to be revealed.
২৩কিন্তু খ্রীষ্টে বিশ্বাস আসবার আগে আমরা নিয়মের অধীনে বন্দী ছিলাম, যতক্ষণ না পর্যন্ত বিশ্বাস প্রকাশিত হয়।
24 Wherefore the law was our pedagogue in Christ, that we might be justified by faith.
২৪সুতরাং তখন নিয়ম খ্রীষ্টের কাছে আনবার জন্য আমাদের পরিচালক হয়ে উঠল, যেন আমরা বিশ্বাসের জন্য ধার্মিক বলে চিহ্নিত হই।
25 But after the faith is come, we are no longer under a pedagogue.
২৫কিন্তু যে অবধি বিশ্বাস আসল, সেই অবধি আমরা আর পরিচালকের অধীন নই।
26 For you are all the children of God by faith, in Christ Jesus.
২৬কারণ তোমরা সবাই খ্রীষ্ট যীশুতে বিশ্বাসের মাধ্যমে ঈশ্বরের পুত্র হয়েছ;
27 For as many of you as have been baptized in Christ, have put on Christ.
২৭কারণ তোমরা যত লোক খ্রীষ্টের উদ্দেশ্যে বাপ্তিষ্ম নিয়েছ, সবাই খ্রীষ্টকে পরিধান করেছ।
28 There is neither Jew nor Greek: there is neither bond nor free: there is neither male nor female. For you are all one in Christ Jesus.
২৮ইহূদি কি গ্রীক আর হতে পারে না, দাস কি স্বাধীন আর হতে পারে না, পুরুষ কি মহিলা আর হতে পারে না, কারণ খ্রীষ্ট যীশুতে তোমরা সবাই এক।
29 And if you be Christ’s, then are you the seed of Abraham, heirs according to the promise.
২৯আর তোমরা যদি খ্রীষ্টের হও, তবে সুতরাং অব্রাহামের বংশ, প্রতিজ্ঞানুসারে উত্তরাধিকারী।
