Ezekiel 25
1 And the word of the Lord came to me, saying:
Puis la parole de l'Eternel me fut [adressée], en disant:
2 Son of man, set thy face against the children of Ammon, and thou shalt prophesy of them.
Fils d'homme, tourne ta face vers les enfants de Hammon, et prophétise contre eux.
3 And thou shalt say to the children of Ammon: Hear ye the word of the Lord God: Thus saith the Lord God: Because thou hast said: Ha, ha, upon my sanctuary, because it was profaned: and upon the land of Israel, because it was laid waste: and upon the house of Juda, because they are led into captivity:
Et dis aux enfants de Hammon: écoutez la parole du Seigneur l'Eternel. Parce que vous avez dit: ha! ha! contre mon Sanctuaire, à cause qu'il était profané; et contre la terre d'Israël, parce qu'elle était désolée; et contre la maison de Juda, parce qu'ils allaient en captivité;
4 Therefore will I deliver thee to the men of the east for an inheritance, and they shall place their sheepcotes in thee, and shall set up their tents in thee: they shall eat thy fruits: and they shall drink thy milk.
A cause de cela voici, je m'en vais te donner en héritage aux enfants d'Orient, et ils bâtiront des palais dans tes villes, et ils demeureront chez toi; ils mangeront tes fruits et boiront ton lait.
5 And I will make Rabbath a stable for camels, and the children of Ammon a couching place for flocks: and you shall know that I am the Lord.
Et je livrerai Rabba pour être le repaire des chameaux, et [le pays] des enfants de Hammon pour être le gîte des brebis; et vous saurez que je suis l'Eternel.
6 For thus saith the Lord God: Because thou hast clapped thy hands and stamped with thy foot, and hast rejoiced with all thy heart against the land of Israel:
Car ainsi a dit le Seigneur l'Eternel: parce que tu as frappé des mains, et que tu as battu des pieds, et que tu t'es réjouie de bon cœur dans tout le mépris que tu as eu pour la terre d'Israël.
7 Therefore behold I: will stretch forth my hand upon thee, and will deliver thee to be the spoil of nations, and will cut thee off from among the people, and destroy thee out of the lands, and break thee in pieces: and thou shalt know that I am the Lord.
A cause de cela voici, j'ai étendu ma main sur toi, et je te livrerai pour être pillée par les nations, et je te retrancherai d'entre les peuples, je te ferai périr d'entre les pays; je te détruirai; et tu sauras que je suis l'Eternel.
8 Thus saith the Lord God: Because Moab and Seir have said: Behold the house of Juda is like all other nations:
Ainsi a dit le Seigneur l'Eternel: parce que Moab et Séhir ont dit: voici, la maison de Juda est comme toutes les autres nations.
9 Therefore behold I will open the shoulder of Moab from the cities, from his cities, I say, and his borders, the noble cities of the land of Bethiesimoth, and Beelmeon, and Cariathaim,
A cause de cela voici, je m'en vais ouvrir le quartier de Moab du côté des villes, du côté, dis-je, de ses villes frontières, la noblesse du pays de Bethjésimoth, de Bahal-Méhon et de Kirjathajim,
10 To the people of the east with the children of Ammon, and I will give it them for an inheritance: that there may be no more any remembrance of the children of Ammon among the nations.
Aux enfants d'Orient, qui sont au delà du pays des enfants de Hammon, lequel je leur ai donné en héritage, afin qu'on ne se souvienne plus des enfants de Hammon parmi les nations.
11 And I will execute judgments in Moab: and they shall know that I am the Lord.
J'exercerai aussi des jugements contre Moab, et ils sauront que je suis l'Eternel.
12 Thus saith the Lord God: Because Edom hath taken vengeance to revenge herself of the children of Juda, and hath greatly offended, and hath sought revenge of them:
Ainsi a dit le Seigneur l'Eternel: à cause de ce qu'Edom a fait quand il s'est inhumainement vengé de la maison de Juda, et parce qu'il s'est rendu fort coupable en se vengeant d'eux.
13 Therefore thus saith the Lord God: I will stretch forth my hand upon Edom, and will take away out of it man and beast, and will make it desolate from the south: and they that are in Dedan shall fall by the sword.
A cause de cela, le Seigneur l'Eternel dit ainsi: j'étendrai ma main sur Edom, j'en retrancherai les hommes et les bêtes, et je le réduirai en désert; depuis Théman et de devers Dédan ils tomberont par l'épée.
14 And I will lay my vengeance upon Edom by the hand of my people Israel: and they shall do in Edom according to my wrath, and my fury: and they shall know my vengeance, saith the Lord God.
J'exercerai ma vengeance sur Edom à cause de mon peuple d'Israël, et on traitera Edom selon ma colère, et selon ma fureur, et ils sentiront ce que c'est que de ma vengeance, dit le Seigneur l'Eternel.
15 Thus saith the Lord God: Because the Philistines have taken vengeance, and have revenged themselves with all their mind, destroying and satisfying old enmities:
Ainsi a dit le Seigneur l'Eternel: à cause que les Philistins ont agi par vengeance, et qu'ils se sont inhumainement vengés avec plaisir [et] avec mépris, jusqu'à [tout] détruire par une inimitié immortelle;
16 Therefore thus saith the Lord God: Behold I will stretch forth my hand upon the Philistines, and will kill the killers, and will destroy the remnant of the sea coast.
A cause de cela le Seigneur l'Eternel dit ainsi: voici, je m'en vais étendre ma main sur les Philistins, j'exterminerai les Kéréthiens, et je ferai périr le reste de [leurs] ports de mer.
17 And I will execute great vengeance upon them, rebuking them in fury: and they shall know that I am the Lord, when I shall lay my vengeance upon them.
Et je déploierai sur eux de grandes vengeances par des châtiments de fureur; et ils sauront que je suis l'Eternel, quand j'aurai exécuté sur eux ma vengeance.
