Acts 20
1 And after the tumult was ceased, Paul calling to him the disciples, and exhorting them, took his leave, and set forward to go into Macedonia.
இத்த²ம்’ கலஹே நிவ்ரு’த்தே ஸதி பௌல: ஸி²ஷ்யக³ணம் ஆஹூய விஸர்ஜநம்’ ப்ராப்ய மாகித³நியாதே³ஸ²ம்’ ப்ரஸ்தி²தவாந்|
2 And when he had gone over those parts, and had exhorted them with many words, he came into Greece;
தேந ஸ்தா²நேந க³ச்ச²ந் தத்³தே³ஸீ²யாந் ஸி²ஷ்யாந் ப³ஹூபதி³ஸ்²ய யூநாநீயதே³ஸ²ம் உபஸ்தி²தவாந்|
3 Where, when he had spent three months, the Jews laid wait for him, as he was about to sail into Syria; so he took a resolution to return through Macedonia.
தத்ர மாஸத்ரயம்’ ஸ்தி²த்வா தஸ்மாத் ஸுரியாதே³ஸ²ம்’ யாதும் உத்³யத: , கிந்து யிஹூதீ³யாஸ்தம்’ ஹந்தும்’ கு³ப்தா அதிஷ்ட²ந் தஸ்மாத் ஸ புநரபி மாகித³நியாமார்கே³ண ப்ரத்யாக³ந்தும்’ மதிம்’ க்ரு’தவாந்|
4 And there accompanied him Sopater the son of Pyrrhus, of Berea; and of the Thessalonians, Aristarchus, and Secundus, and Gaius of Derbe, and Timothy; and of Asia, Tychicus and Trophimus.
பி³ரயாநக³ரீயஸோபாத்ர: தி²ஷலநீகீயாரிஸ்தார்க²ஸிகுந்தௌ³ த³ர்ப்³போ³நக³ரீயகா³யதீமதி²யௌ ஆஸி²யாதே³ஸீ²யதுகி²கத்ரபி²மௌ ச தேந ஸார்த்³த⁴ம்’ ஆஸி²யாதே³ஸ²ம்’ யாவத்³ க³தவந்த: |
5 These going before, stayed for us at Troas.
ஏதே ஸர்வ்வே (அ)க்³ரஸரா: ஸந்தோ (அ)ஸ்மாந் அபேக்ஷ்ய த்ரோயாநக³ரே ஸ்தி²தவந்த: |
6 But we sailed from Philippi after the days of the Azymes, and came to them to Troas in five days, where we abode seven days.
கிண்வஸூ²ந்யபூபோத்ஸவதி³நே ச க³தே ஸதி வயம்’ பி²லிபீநக³ராத் தோயபதே²ந க³த்வா பஞ்சபி⁴ ர்தி³நைஸ்த்ரோயாநக³ரம் உபஸ்தா²ய தத்ர ஸப்ததி³நாந்யவாதிஷ்டா²ம|
7 And on the first day of the week, when we were assembled to break bread, Paul discoursed with them, being to depart on the morrow: and he continued his speech until midnight.
ஸப்தாஹஸ்ய ப்ரத²மதி³நே பூபாந் ப⁴ம்’க்து ஸி²ஷ்யேஷு மிலிதேஷு பௌல: பரதி³நே தஸ்மாத் ப்ரஸ்தா²தும் உத்³யத: ஸந் தத³ஹ்நி ப்ராயேண க்ஷபாயா யாமத்³வயம்’ யாவத் ஸி²ஷ்யேப்⁴யோ த⁴ர்ம்மகதா²ம் அகத²யத்|
8 And there were a great number of lamps in the upper chamber where we were assembled.
உபரிஸ்தே² யஸ்மிந் ப்ரகோஷ்டே² ஸபா⁴ம்’ க்ரு’த்வாஸந் தத்ர ப³ஹவ: ப்ரதீ³பா: ப்ராஜ்வலந்|
9 And a certain young man named Eutychus, sitting on the window, being oppressed with a deep sleep, (as Paul was long preaching, ) by occasion of his sleep fell from the third loft down, and was taken up dead.
உதுக²நாமா கஸ்²சந யுவா ச வாதாயந உபவிஸ²ந் கோ⁴ரதரநித்³ராக்³ரஸ்தோ (அ)பூ⁴த் ததா³ பௌலேந ப³ஹுக்ஷணம்’ கதா²யாம்’ ப்ரசாரிதாயாம்’ நித்³ராமக்³ந: ஸ தஸ்மாத்³ உபரிஸ்த²த்ரு’தீயப்ரகோஷ்டா²த்³ அபதத், ததோ லோகாஸ்தம்’ ம்ரு’தகல்பம்’ த்⁴ரு’த்வோத³தோலயந்|
10 To whom, when Paul had gone down, he laid himself upon him, and embracing him, said: Be not troubled, for his soul is in him.
தத: பௌலோ(அ)வருஹ்ய தஸ்ய கா³த்ரே பதித்வா தம்’ க்ரோடே³ நிதா⁴ய கதி²தவாந், யூயம்’ வ்யாகுலா மா பூ⁴த நாயம்’ ப்ராணை ர்வியுக்த: |
11 Then going up, and breaking bread and tasting, and having talked a long time to them, until daylight, so he departed.
பஸ்²சாத் ஸ புநஸ்²சோபரி க³த்வா பூபாந் ப⁴ம்’க்த்வா ப்ரபா⁴தம்’ யாவத் கதோ²பகத²நே க்ரு’த்வா ப்ரஸ்தி²தவாந்|
12 And they brought the youth alive, and were not a little comforted.
தே ச தம்’ ஜீவந்தம்’ யுவாநம்’ க்³ரு’ஹீத்வா க³த்வா பரமாப்யாயிதா ஜாதா: |
13 But we, going aboard the ship, sailed to Assos, being there to take in Paul; for so he had appointed, himself purposing to travel by land.
அநந்தரம்’ வயம்’ போதேநாக்³ரஸரா பூ⁴த்வாஸ்மநக³ரம் உத்தீர்ய்ய பௌலம்’ க்³ரஹீதும்’ மதிம் அகுர்ம்ம யத: ஸ தத்ர பத்³ப்⁴யாம்’ வ்ரஜிதும்’ மதிம்’ க்ரு’த்வேதி நிரூபிதவாந்|
14 And when he had met with us at Assos, we took him in, and came to Mitylene.
தஸ்மாத் தத்ராஸ்மாபி⁴: ஸார்த்³த⁴ம்’ தஸ்மிந் மிலிதே ஸதி வயம்’ தம்’ நீத்வா மிதுலீந்யுபத்³வீபம்’ ப்ராப்தவந்த: |
15 And sailing thence, the day following we came over against Chios; and the next day we arrived at Samos; and the day following we came to Miletus.
தஸ்மாத் போதம்’ மோசயித்வா பரே(அ)ஹநி கீ²யோபத்³வீபஸ்ய ஸம்முக²ம்’ லப்³த⁴வந்தஸ்தஸ்மாத்³ ஏகேநாஹ்நா ஸாமோபத்³வீபம்’ க³த்வா போதம்’ லாக³யித்வா த்ரோகு³ல்லியே ஸ்தி²த்வா பரஸ்மிந் தி³வஸே மிலீதநக³ரம் உபாதிஷ்டா²ம|
16 For Paul had determined to sail by Ephesus, lest he should be stayed any time in Asia. For he hasted, if it were possible for him, to keep the day of Pentecost at Jerusalem.
யத: பௌல ஆஸி²யாதே³ஸே² காலம்’ யாபயிதும் நாபி⁴லஷந் இபி²ஷநக³ரம்’ த்யக்த்வா யாதும்’ மந்த்ரணாம்’ ஸ்தி²ரீக்ரு’தவாந்; யஸ்மாத்³ யதி³ ஸாத்⁴யம்’ ப⁴வதி தர்ஹி நிஸ்தாரோத்ஸவஸ்ய பஞ்சாஸ²த்தமதி³நே ஸ யிரூஸா²லம்யுபஸ்தா²தும்’ மதிம்’ க்ரு’தவாந்|
17 And sending from Miletus to Ephesus, he called the ancients of the church.
பௌலோ மிலீதாத்³ இபி²ஷம்’ ப்ரதி லோகம்’ ப்ரஹித்ய ஸமாஜஸ்ய ப்ராசீநாந் ஆஹூயாநீதவாந்|
18 And when they were come to him, and were together, he said to them: You know from the first day that I came into Asia, in what manner I have been with you, for all the time,
தேஷு தஸ்ய ஸமீபம் உபஸ்தி²தேஷு ஸ தேப்⁴ய இமாம்’ கதா²ம்’ கதி²தவாந், அஹம் ஆஸி²யாதே³ஸே² ப்ரத²மாக³மநம் ஆரப்⁴யாத்³ய யாவத்³ யுஷ்மாகம்’ ஸந்நிதௌ⁴ ஸ்தி²த்வா ஸர்வ்வஸமயே யதா²சரிதவாந் தத்³ யூயம்’ ஜாநீத²;
19 Serving the Lord with all humility, and with tears, and temptations which befell me by the conspiracies of the Jews;
ப²லத: ஸர்வ்வதா² நம்ரமநா: ஸந் ப³ஹுஸ்²ருபாதேந யிஹுதீ³யாநாம் குமந்த்ரணாஜாதநாநாபரீக்ஷாபி⁴: ப்ரபோ⁴: ஸேவாமகரவம்’|
20 How I have kept back nothing that was profitable to you, but have preached it to you, and taught you publicly, and from house to house,
காமபி ஹிதகதா²ம்’ ந கோ³பாயிதவாந் தாம்’ ப்ரசார்ய்ய ஸப்ரகாஸ²ம்’ க்³ரு’ஹே க்³ரு’ஹே ஸமுபதி³ஸ்²யேஸ்²வரம்’ ப்ரதி மந: பராவர்த்தநீயம்’ ப்ரபௌ⁴ யீஸு²க்²ரீஷ்டே விஸ்²வஸநீயம்’
21 Testifying both to Jews and Gentiles penance towards God, and faith in our Lord Jesus Christ.
யிஹூதீ³யாநாம் அந்யதே³ஸீ²யலோகாநாஞ்ச ஸமீப ஏதாத்³ரு’ஸ²ம்’ ஸாக்ஷ்யம்’ த³தா³மி|
22 And now, behold, being bound in the spirit, I go to Jerusalem: not knowing the things which shall befall me there:
பஸ்²யத ஸாம்ப்ரதம் ஆத்மநாக்ரு’ஷ்ட: ஸந் யிரூஸா²லம்நக³ரே யாத்ராம்’ கரோமி, தத்ர மாம்ப்ரதி யத்³யத்³ க⁴டிஷ்யதே தாந்யஹம்’ ந ஜாநாமி;
23 Save that the Holy Ghost in every city witnesseth to me, saying: That bands and afflictions wait for me at Jerusalem.
கிந்து மயா ப³ந்த⁴நம்’ க்லேஸ²ஸ்²ச போ⁴க்தவ்ய இதி பவித்ர ஆத்மா நக³ரே நக³ரே ப்ரமாணம்’ த³தா³தி|
24 But I fear none of these things, neither do I count my life more precious than myself, so that I may consummate my course and the ministry of the word which I received from the Lord Jesus, to testify the gospel of the grace of God.
ததா²பி தம்’ க்லேஸ²மஹம்’ த்ரு’ணாய ந மந்யே; ஈஸ்²வரஸ்யாநுக்³ரஹவிஷயகஸ்ய ஸுஸம்’வாத³ஸ்ய ப்ரமாணம்’ தா³தும்’, ப்ரபோ⁴ ர்யீஸோ²: ஸகாஸா²த³ யஸ்யா: ஸேவாயா: பா⁴ரம்’ ப்ராப்நவம்’ தாம்’ ஸேவாம்’ ஸாத⁴யிதும்’ ஸாநந்த³ம்’ ஸ்வமார்க³ம்’ ஸமாபயிதுஞ்ச நிஜப்ராணாநபி ப்ரியாந் ந மந்யே|
25 And now behold, I know that all you, among whom I have gone preaching the kingdom of God, shall see my face no more.
அது⁴நா பஸ்²யத யேஷாம்’ ஸமீபே(அ)ஹம் ஈஸ்²வரீயராஜ்யஸ்ய ஸுஸம்’வாத³ம்’ ப்ரசார்ய்ய ப்⁴ரமணம்’ க்ரு’தவாந் ஏதாத்³ரு’ஸா² யூயம்’ மம வத³நம்’ புந ர்த்³ரஷ்டும்’ ந ப்ராப்ஸ்யத² ஏதத³ப்யஹம்’ ஜாநாமி|
26 Wherefore I take you to witness this day, that I am clear from the blood of all men;
யுஷ்மப்⁴யம் அஹம் ஈஸ்²வரஸ்ய ஸர்வ்வாந் ஆதே³ஸா²ந் ப்ரகாஸ²யிதும்’ ந ந்யவர்த்தே|
27 For I have not spared to declare unto you all the counsel of God.
அஹம்’ ஸர்வ்வேஷாம்’ லோகாநாம்’ ரக்தபாததோ³ஷாத்³ யந்நிர்தோ³ஷ ஆஸே தஸ்யாத்³ய யுஷ்மாந் ஸாக்ஷிண: கரோமி|
28 Take heed to yourselves, and to the whole flock, wherein the Holy Ghost hath placed you bishops, to rule the church of God, which he hath purchased with his own blood.
யூயம்’ ஸ்வேஷு ததா² யஸ்ய வ்ரஜஸ்யாத்⁴யக்ஷந் ஆத்மா யுஷ்மாந் விதா⁴ய ந்யயுங்க்த தத்ஸர்வ்வஸ்மிந் ஸாவதா⁴நா ப⁴வத, ய ஸமாஜஞ்ச ப்ரபு⁴ ர்நிஜரக்தமூல்யேந க்ரீதவாந தம் அவத,
29 I know that, after my departure, ravening wolves will enter in among you, not sparing the flock.
யதோ மயா க³மநே க்ரு’தஏவ து³ர்ஜயா வ்ரு’கா யுஷ்மாகம்’ மத்⁴யம்’ ப்ரவிஸ்²ய வ்ரஜம்’ ப்ரதி நிர்த³யதாம் ஆசரிஷ்யந்தி,
30 And of your own selves shall arise men speaking perverse things, to draw away disciples after them.
யுஷ்மாகமேவ மத்⁴யாத³பி லோகா உத்தா²ய ஸி²ஷ்யக³ணம் அபஹந்தும்’ விபரீதம் உபதே³க்ஷ்யந்தீத்யஹம்’ ஜாநாமி|
31 Therefore watch, keeping in memory, that for three years I ceased not, with tears to admonish every one of you night and day.
இதி ஹேதோ ர்யூயம்’ ஸசைதந்யா: ஸந்தஸ்திஷ்டத, அஹஞ்ச ஸாஸ்²ருபாத: ஸந் வத்ஸரத்ரயம்’ யாவத்³ தி³வாநிஸ²ம்’ ப்ரதிஜநம்’ போ³த⁴யிதும்’ ந ந்யவர்த்தே தத³பி ஸ்மரத|
32 And now I commend you to God, and to the word of his grace, who is able to build up, and to give an inheritance among all the sanctified.
இதா³நீம்’ ஹே ப்⁴ராதரோ யுஷ்மாகம்’ நிஷ்டா²ம்’ ஜநயிதும்’ பவித்ரீக்ரு’தலோகாநாம்’ மத்⁴யே(அ)தி⁴காரஞ்ச தா³தும்’ ஸமர்தோ² ய ஈஸ்²வரஸ்தஸ்யாநுக்³ரஹஸ்ய யோ வாத³ஸ்²ச தயோருப⁴யோ ர்யுஷ்மாந் ஸமார்பயம்|
33 I have not coveted any man’s silver, gold, or apparel, as
கஸ்யாபி ஸ்வர்ணம்’ ரூப்யம்’ வஸ்த்ரம்’ வா ப்ரதி மயா லோபோ⁴ ந க்ரு’த: |
34 You yourselves know: for such things as were needful for me and them that are with me, these hands have furnished.
கிந்து மம மத்ஸஹசரலோகாநாஞ்சாவஸ்²யகவ்யயாய மதீ³யமித³ம்’ கரத்³வயம் அஸ்²ராம்யத்³ ஏதத்³ யூயம்’ ஜாநீத²|
35 I have shewed you all things, how that so labouring you ought to support the weak, and to remember the word of the Lord Jesus, how he said: It is a more blessed thing to give, rather than to receive.
அநேந ப்ரகாரேண க்³ரஹணத்³ தா³நம்’ ப⁴த்³ரமிதி யத்³வாக்யம்’ ப்ரபு⁴ ர்யீஸு²: கதி²தவாந் தத் ஸ்மர்த்தும்’ த³ரித்³ரலோகாநாமுபகாரார்த²ம்’ ஸ்²ரமம்’ கர்த்துஞ்ச யுஷ்மாகம் உசிதம் ஏதத்ஸர்வ்வம்’ யுஷ்மாநஹம் உபதி³ஷ்டவாந்|
36 And when he had said these things, kneeling down, he prayed with them all.
ஏதாம்’ கதா²ம்’ கத²யித்வா ஸ ஜாநுநீ பாதயித்வா ஸர்வை: ஸஹ ப்ரார்த²யத|
37 And there was much weeping among them all; and falling on the neck of Paul, they kissed him,
தேந தே க்ரந்த்³ரந்த:
38 Being grieved most of all for the word which he had said, that they should see his face no more. And they brought him on his way to the ship.
புந ர்மம முக²ம்’ ந த்³ரக்ஷ்யத² விஸே²ஷத ஏஷா யா கதா² தேநாகதி² தத்காரணாத் ஸோ²கம்’ விலாபஞ்ச க்ரு’த்வா கண்ட²ம்’ த்⁴ரு’த்வா சும்பி³தவந்த: | பஸ்²சாத் தே தம்’ போதம்’ நீதவந்த: |
