2 Kings 24
1 In his days Nabuchodonosor king of Babylon came up, and Joakim became his servant three years: then again he rebelled against him.
൧അവന്റെ കാലത്ത് ബാബിലോൺ രാജാവായ നെബൂഖദ്നേസർ യെഹൂദക്കുനേരെ പുറപ്പെട്ടുവന്നു; യെഹോയാക്കീം മൂന്ന് സംവത്സരം അവന് ആശ്രിതനായി ഇരുന്നു; അതിന്‍റെശേഷം അവൻ എതിർത്ത് അവനോട് മത്സരിച്ചു. അപ്പോൾ യഹോവ കൽദയർ, അരാമ്യർ, മോവാബ്യർ, അമ്മോന്യർ എന്നിവരുടെ പടക്കൂട്ടങ്ങളെ അവന്റെനേരെ അയച്ചു;
2 And the Lord sent against him the rovers of the Chaldees, and the rovers of Syria, and the rovers of Moab, and the rovers of the children of Ammon: and he sent them against Juda, to destroy it, according to the word of the Lord, which he had spoken by his servants the prophets.
൨പ്രവാചകന്മാരായ തന്റെ ദാസന്മാർ മുഖാന്തരം യഹോവ അരുളിച്ചെയ്തിരുന്ന വചനപ്രകാരം അവൻ അവരെ യെഹൂദയെ നശിപ്പിക്കത്തക്കവണ്ണം അതിന്റെ നേരെ അയച്ചു.
3 And this came by the word of the Lord against Juda, to remove them from before him for all the sins of Manasses which he did.
൩മനശ്ശെ ചെയ്ത സകലപാപങ്ങളും നിമിത്തം യെഹൂദയെ തന്റെ സന്നിധിയിൽനിന്ന് നീക്കിക്കളയുവാൻ ഇത് യഹോവയുടെ കല്പനപ്രകാരം തന്നേ അവർക്ക് ഭവിച്ചു.
4 And for the innocent blood that he shed, filling Jerusalem with innocent blood: and therefore the Lord would not be appeased.
൪അവൻ കുറ്റമില്ലാത്ത രക്തം ചൊരിയിച്ചതും യെരൂശലേമിനെ കുറ്റമില്ലാത്ത രക്തംകൊണ്ട് നിറെച്ചതും ക്ഷമിപ്പാൻ യഹോവയ്ക്ക് മനസ്സായില്ല.
5 But the rest of the acts of Joakim, and all that he did, are they not written in the book of the words of the days of the kings of Juda? And Joakim slept with his fathers:
൫യെഹോയാക്കീമിന്റെ മറ്റ് വൃത്താന്തങ്ങളും അവൻ ചെയ്തതൊക്കെയും യെഹൂദാ രാജാക്കന്മാരുടെ വൃത്താന്തപുസ്തകത്തിൽ എഴുതിയിരിക്കുന്നുവല്ലോ.
6 And Joachin his son reigned in his stead.
൬യെഹോയാക്കീം തന്റെ പിതാക്കന്മാരെപ്പോലെ നിദ്രപ്രാപിച്ചു; അവന്റെ മകനായ യെഹോയാഖീൻ അവന് പകരം രാജാവായി.
7 And the king of Egypt came not again any more out of his own country: for the king of Babylon had taken all that had belonged to the king of Egypt, from the river of Egypt, unto the river Euphrates.
൭ഈജിപ്റ്റ് തോടുമുതൽ യൂഫ്രട്ടീസ് നദിവരെ ഈജിപ്റ്റ് രാജാവിനുണ്ടായിരുന്ന ദേശമെല്ലാം ബാബിലോൺരാജാവ് പിടിച്ചെടുത്തതുകൊണ്ട് ഈജിപ്റ്റ് രാജാവ് പിന്നീട് തന്റെ ദേശത്തിന് പുറത്ത് യുദ്ധത്തിനായി പോയില്ല.
8 Joachin was eighteen years old when he began to reign, a and he reigned three months in Jerusalem: the name of his mother was Nohesta the daughter of Elnathan of Jerusalem.
൮യെഹോയാഖീൻ വാഴ്ച തുടങ്ങിയപ്പോൾ അവന് പതിനെട്ട് വയസ്സായിരുന്നു; അവൻ യെരൂശലേമിൽ മൂന്നുമാസം വാണു. അവന്റെ അമ്മക്ക് നെഹുഷ്ഠാ എന്ന് പേരായിരുന്നു; അവൾ യെരൂശലേമ്യനായ എൽനാഥാന്റെ മകൾ ആയിരുന്നു.
9 And he did evil before the Lord, according to all that his father had done.
൯അവൻ തന്റെ അപ്പനേപ്പോലെ യഹോവയ്ക്ക് അനിഷ്ടമായത് ചെയ്തു.
10 At that time the servants of Nabuchodonosor king of Babylon came up against Jerusalem, and the city was surrounded with their forts.
൧൦ആ കാലത്ത് ബാബിലോൺ രാജാവായ നെബൂഖദ്നേസരിന്റെ ഭൃത്യന്മാർ യെരൂശലേമിന്റെ നേരെ വന്ന് നഗരത്തെ ഉപരോധിച്ചു.
11 And Nabuchodonosor king of Babylon came to the city with his servants to assault it.
൧൧ഇങ്ങനെ ഭൃത്യന്മാർ ഉപരോധിച്ചിരിക്കുമ്പോൾ ബാബിലോൺ രാജാവായ നെബൂഖദ്നേസരും നഗരത്തിന്റെ നേരെ വന്നു.
12 And Joachin king of Juda went out to the king of Babylon, he and his mother, and his servants, and his nobles, and his eunuchs: and the king of Babylon received him in the eighth year of his reign.
൧൨യെഹൂദാ രാജാവായ യെഹോയാഖീനും അവന്റെ അമ്മയും അവന്റെ ഭൃത്യന്മാരും പ്രഭുക്കന്മാരും ഷണ്ഡന്മാരും ബാബിലോൺരാജാവിന്റെ അടുക്കൽ പുറത്ത് ചെന്നു; ബാബിലോൺരാജാവ് തന്റെ വാഴ്ചയുടെ എട്ടാം ആണ്ടിൽ അവനെ പിടിച്ചു.
13 And he brought out from thence all the treasures of the house of the Lord, and the treasures of the king’s house: and he cut in pieces all the vessels of gold which Solomon king of Israel had made in the temple of the Lord, according to the word of the Lord.
൧൩അവൻ യഹോവയുടെ ആലയത്തിലെയും രാജധാനിയിലെയും സകലനിക്ഷേപങ്ങളും അവിടെനിന്ന് എടുത്ത് കൊണ്ടുപോയി; യിസ്രായേൽ രാജാവായ ശലോമോൻ യഹോവയുടെ മന്ദിരത്തിൽ ഉണ്ടാക്കിവെച്ചിരുന്ന പൊന്നുകൊണ്ടുള്ള ഉപകരണങ്ങളെല്ലാം യഹോവ അരുളിച്ചെയ്തിരുന്നതുപോലെ അവൻ വെട്ടിനുറുക്കി.
14 And he carried away all Jerusalem, and all the princes, and all the valiant men of the army, to the number of ten thousand into captivity: and every artificer and smith: and none were left, but the poor sort of the people of the land.
൧൪അവൻ യെരൂശലേം നിവാസികളെയും, പ്രഭുക്കന്മാരും പരാക്രമശാലികളുമായ പതിനായിരം പേരെയും എല്ലാ ആശാരിമാരെയും കൊല്ലന്മാരെയും ബദ്ധരാക്കി കൊണ്ടുപോയി; ദേശത്ത് ദരിദ്രരായ ജനം മാത്രമല്ലാതെ ആരും ശേഷിച്ചില്ല.
15 And he carried away Joachin into Babylon, and the king’s mother, and the king’s wives, and his eunuchs: and the judges of the land he carried into captivity from Jerusalem into Babylon.
൧൫യെഹോയാഖീമിനെ അവൻ ബാബിലോണിലേക്ക് കൊണ്ടുപോയി; രാജമാതാവിനെയും ഭാര്യമാരെയും ഷണ്ഡന്മാരെയും ദേശത്തിലെ പ്രധാനികളെയും അവൻ ബദ്ധരാക്കി യെരൂശലേമിൽനിന്ന് ബാബിലോണിലേക്ക് കൊണ്ടുപോയി.
16 And all the strong men, seven thousand, and the artificers, and the smiths a thousand, all that were valiant men and fit for war: and the king of Babylon led them captives into Babylon.
൧൬ബലവാന്മാരായ ഏഴായിരംപേരെയും, ആശാരിമാരും കൊല്ലന്മാരുമായ ആയിരം പേരെയും, യുദ്ധപ്രാപ്തന്മാരായ സകലവീരന്മാരെയും ബാബിലോൺരാജാവ് ബദ്ധരാക്കി ബാബിലോണിലേക്ക് കൊണ്ടുപോയി.
17 And he appointed Matthanias his uncle in his stead: and called his name Sedecias.
൧൭അവന് പകരം ബാബിലോൺരാജാവ് അവന്റെ ചിറ്റപ്പനായ മത്ഥന്യാവിനെ രാജാവാക്കി; അവന്റെ പേര് സിദെക്കീയാവ് എന്ന് മാറ്റി.
18 Sedecias was one and twenty years old when he began to reign, and he reigned eleven years in Jerusalem: the name of his mother was Amital, the daughter of Jeremias of Lobna.
൧൮സിദെക്കീയാവ് വാഴ്ച തുടങ്ങിയപ്പോൾ അവന് ഇരുപത്തൊന്ന് വയസ്സായിരുന്നു; അവൻ പതിനൊന്ന് സംവത്സരം യെരൂശലേമിൽ വാണു; അവന്റെ അമ്മക്ക് ഹമൂതൽ എന്ന് പേരായിരുന്നു; അവൾ ലിബ്ന പട്ടണക്കാരനായ യിരെമ്യാവിന്റെ മകൾ ആയിരുന്നു.
19 And he did evil before the Lord, according to all that Joakim had done.
൧൯യെഹോയാക്കീം ചെയ്തതുപോലെ അവൻ യഹോവയ്ക്ക് അനിഷ്ടമായത് ചെയ്തു.
20 For the Lord was angry against Jerusalem and against Juda, till he cast them out from his face: and Sedecias revolted from the king of Babylon.
൨൦യഹോവയുടെ കോപം ഹേതുവായി യെരൂശലേമിനും യെഹൂദെക്കും അങ്ങനെ ഭവിച്ചു; അവൻ ഒടുവിൽ അവരെ തന്റെ സന്നിധിയിൽനിന്ന് തള്ളിക്കളഞ്ഞു; എന്നാൽ സിദെക്കീയാവും ബാബിലോൺരാജാവിനോട് മത്സരിച്ചു.
