2 Chronicles 3
1 And Solomon began to build the house of the Lord in Jerusalem, in mount Moria, which had been shewn to David his father, in the place which David had prepared in the thrashingfloor of Ornan the Jebusite.
Und [1. Kön. 6] Salomo fing an, das Haus Jehovas zu bauen in Jerusalem, auf dem Berge Morija, wo er seinem Vater David erschienen war, [Vergl. 2. Sam. 24,15] an dem Orte, den David bereitet hatte, auf der Tenne Ornans, des Jebusiters.
2 And he began to build in the second month, in the fourth year of his reign.
Und er fing an zu bauen im zweiten Monat, am zweiten [Viell. sind die Worte "am zweiten" eingeschoben] Tage, im vierten Jahre seiner Regierung.
3 Now these are the foundations, which Solomon laid, to build the house of God, the length by the first measure sixty cubits, the breadth twenty cubits.
Und dies war die Grundlage, welche Salomo zum Bau des Hauses Gottes legte: die Länge, nach dem früheren [d. h. dem mosaischen] Ellenmaß, sechzig Ellen, und die Breite zwanzig Ellen. -
4 And the porch in the front, which was extended in length according to the measure of the breadth of the house, twenty cubits: and the height was a hundred and twenty cubits: and he overlaid it within with pure gold.
Und die Halle, welche der Länge nach vor der Breite des Hauses war, zwanzig Ellen, und die Höhe120; [Der hebr. Text ist unklar und sehr wahrsch. fehlerhaft] und er überzog sie inwendig mit reinem Golde.
5 And the greater house he ceiled with deal boards, and overlaid them with plates of fine gold throughout: and he graved in them palm trees, and like little chains interlaced with one another.
Und das große Haus [d. i. das Heilige] bekleidete er mit Cypressenholz, und bekleidete es mit gutem Golde; und er brachte Palmen und Ketten darauf an.
6 He paved also the floor of the temple with most precious marble, of great beauty.
Und er überzog das Haus mit kostbaren Steinen zum Schmuck; das Gold aber war Gold von Parwaim.
7 And the gold of the plates with which he overlaid the house, and the beams thereof, and the posts, and the walls, and the doors was of the finest: and he graved cherubims on the walls.
Und er bekleidete das Haus, die Balken der Decke, die Schwellen und seine Wände und seine Türflügel mit Gold; und er schnitzte Cherubim ein an den Wänden.
8 He made also the house of the holy of holies: the length of it according to the breadth of the temple, twenty cubits, and the breadth of it in like manner twenty cubits: and he overlaid it with plates of gold, amounting to about six hundred talents.
Und er machte das Haus des Allerheiligsten. Seine Länge, vor der Breite des Hauses her, war zwanzig Ellen, und seine Breite zwanzig Ellen; und er bekleidete es mit gutem Golde, an sechshundert Talente.
9 He made also nails of gold, and the weight of every nail was fifty sicles: the upper chambers also he overlaid with gold.
Und das Gewicht der Nägel war an fünfzig Sekel Gold. Auch die Obergemächer bekleidete er mit Gold.
10 He made also in the house of the holy of holies two cherubims of image work: and he overlaid them with gold.
Und er machte im Hause des Allerheiligsten zwei Cherubim, ein Werk von Bildhauerarbeit; und man überzog sie mit Gold.
11 The wings of the cherubims were extended twenty cubits, so that one wing was five cubits long, and reached to the wall of the house: and the other was also five cubits long, and reached to the wing of the other cherub.
Und die Flügel der Cherubim, -ihre Länge war zwanzig Ellen: der Flügel des einen, von fünf Ellen, rührte an die Wand des Hauses; und der andere Flügel, von fünf Ellen, rührte an den Flügel des anderen Cherubs;
12 In like manner the wing of the other cherub, was five cubits long, and reached to the wall: and his other wing was five cubits long, and touched the wing of the other cherub.
und der Flügel des anderen Cherubs, von fünf Ellen, rührte an die Wand des Hauses; und der andere Flügel, von fünf Ellen, stieß an den Flügel des einen Cherubs.
13 So the wings of the two cherubims were spread forth, and were extended twenty cubits: and they stood upright on their feet, and their faces were turned toward the house without.
Die Flügel dieser Cherubim maßen ausgebreitet zwanzig Ellen; und sie selbst standen auf ihren Füßen, und ihre Angesichter waren dem Hause zugewandt.
14 He made also a veil of violet, purple, scarlet, and silk: and wrought in it cherubims.
Und er machte den Vorhang von blauem und rotem Purpur und Karmesin und Byssus, und brachte Cherubim darauf an.
15 He made also before the doors of the temple two pillars, which were five and thirty cubits high: and their chapiters were five cubits.
Und [1. Kön. 7,15] er machte vor dem Hause zwei Säulen, 35 Ellen die Länge; und das Kapitäl, das auf ihrer Spitze war, maß fünf Ellen.
16 He made also as it were little chains in the oracle, and he put them on the heads of the pillars: and a hundred pomegranates, which he put between the little chains.
Und er machte Ketten im Sprachorte [Wahrsch. ein Textfehler. Viell. ist zu l.: Ketten an dem Netzwerk; vergl. Kap. 4,13] und tat sie an die Spitze der Säulen; und er machte hundert Granatäpfel und tat sie an die Ketten.
17 These pillars he put at the entrance of the temple, one on the right hand, and the other on the left: that which was on the right hand, he called Jachin: and that on the left hand, Boot.
Und er richtete die Säulen vor dem Tempel auf, eine zur Rechten und eine zur Linken; und er gab der rechten den Namen Jakin, [Er wird feststellen, befestigen] und der linken den Namen Boas. [In ihm ist Stärke]
