Revelation 8

1 And when it opened the seventh seal, there was silence in the heaven about half an hour.

Y cuando él hubo abierto el séptimo sello, fue hecho silencio en el cielo casi por media hora.

2 And I saw the seven angels who stand before God, and seven trumpets were given to them.

Y ví los siete ángeles que estaban en pie delante de Dios, y fuéronles dadas siete trompetas.

3 And another angel came and stood at the altar, having a golden censer; and much incense was given to him, that he might give [efficacy] to the prayers of all saints at the golden altar which [was] before the throne.

Y otro ángel vino, y se paró delante del altar, teniendo un incensario de oro; y fuéronle dados muchos inciensos para que los ofreciese con las oraciones de todos los santos sobre el altar de oro, el cual estaba delante del trono.

4 And the smoke of the incense went up with the prayers of the saints, out of the hand of the angel before God.

Y el humo de los inciensos, con las oraciones de los santos, subió de la mano del ángel delante de Dios.

5 And the angel took the censer, and filled it from the fire of the altar, and cast [it] on the earth: and there were voices, and thunders and lightnings, and an earthquake.

Y el ángel tomó el incensario, e hinchiólo del fuego del altar, y lo arrojó a la tierra, y fueron hechas voces, y truenos, y relámpagos, y un temblor de tierra.

6 And the seven angels who had the seven trumpets prepared themselves that they might sound with [their] trumpets.

Y los siete ángeles que tenían las siete trompetas, se aprestaron para tocar trompeta.

7 And the first sounded [his] trumpet: and there was hail and fire, mingled with blood, and they were cast upon the earth; and the third part of the earth was burnt up, and the third part of the trees was burnt up, and all green grass was burnt up.

Y el primer ángel tocó la trompeta, y fue hecho granizo, y fuego, mezclados con sangre, y fueron arrojados sobre la tierra; y la tercera parte de los árboles fue quemada, y toda la yerba verde fue quemada.

8 And the second angel sounded [his] trumpet: and as a great mountain burning with fire was cast into the sea, and the third part of the sea became blood;

Y el segundo ángel tocó la trompeta, y como un grande monte ardiente con fuego fue lanzado en la mar, y la tercera parte de la mar fue vuelta en sangre.

9 and the third part of the creatures which were in the sea which had life died; and the third part of the ships were destroyed.

Y murió la tercera parte de las criaturas que estaban en la mar, las cuales tenían vida, y la tercera parte de los navíos fue destruida.

10 And the third angel sounded [his] trumpet: and there fell out of the heaven a great star, burning as a torch, and it fell upon the third part of the rivers, and upon the fountains of waters.

Y el tercer ángel tocó la trompeta, y cayó del cielo una grande estrella ardiendo como una lámpara encendida, y cayó sobre la tercera parte de los ríos, y sobre las fuentes de las aguas.

11 And the name of the star is called Wormwood; and the third part of the waters became wormwood, and many of the men died of the waters because they were made bitter.

Y el nombre de la estrella se dice Ajenjo; y la tercera parte de las aguas fue vuelta en ajenjo; y muchos hombres murieron por las aguas, porque fueron hechas amargas.

12 And the fourth angel sounded [his] trumpet: and the third part of the sun was smitten, and the third part of the moon, and the third part of the stars; so that the third part of them should be darkened, and that the day should not appear [for] the third part of it, and the night the same.

Y el cuarto ángel tocó la trompeta, y fue herida la tercera parte del sol, y la tercera parte de la luna, y la tercera parte de las estrellas: de tal manera que se oscureció la tercera parte de ellos, y no alumbraba la tercera parte del día, y semejantemente de la noche.

13 And I saw, and I heard an eagle flying in mid-heaven, saying with a loud voice, Woe, woe, woe, to them that dwell upon the earth, for the remaining voices of the trumpet of the three angels who are about to sound.

Y miré, y oí un ángel volar por medio del cielo, diciendo a alta voz: ¡Ay, ay, ay de los que moran en la tierra! por razón de las otras voces de las trompetas de los tres ángeles que habían de tocar.
