Revelation 13
1 And I stood upon the sand of the sea; and I saw a beast rising out of the sea, having ten horns and seven heads, and upon its horns ten diadems, and upon its heads names of blasphemy.
O dragão ficou em pé na praia do mar. Vi uma besta que saía do mar. Tinha dez chifres e sete cabeças. Em cada um dos chifres havia uma coroa real. Em [cada uma ]das cabeças havia um nome que insultava a [Deus. ]
2 And the beast which I saw was like to a leopardess, and its feet as of a bear, and its mouth as a lion's mouth; and the dragon gave to it his power, and his throne, and great authority;
A besta que vi parecia um leopardo. Os pés eram semelhantes aos pés de um urso, e a boca parecia a boca de um leão. O dragão deu [poder ]à besta. Também lhe deu autoridade [de governar os seres humanos ]do seu trono [DOU].
3 and one of his heads [was] as slain to death, and his wound of death had been healed: and the whole earth wondered after the beast.
Uma das cabeças da besta foi ferida {[O Senhor ]tinha ferido uma das cabeças da besta}, levando-a quase à morte. Mas a ferida foi sarada. [Como resultado disso, quase ]todos [os habitantes ]da terra [HYP, MTY] se maravilharam da besta e se tornaram discípulos dela.
4 And they did homage to the dragon, because he gave the authority to the beast; and they did homage to the beast, saying, Who [is] like to the beast? and who can make war with it?
Eles adoraram o dragão, pois ele tinha dado à besta autoridade de [governar os seres humanos. ]Também adoraram a besta, dizendo: “Ninguém / Quem [RHQ] é [tão poderoso ]como a besta! Ninguém / Quem ousaria lutar contra ela [RHQ]!”
5 And there was given to it a mouth, speaking great things and blasphemies; and there was given to it authority to pursue its career forty-two months.
Permitiu-se que a besta {Deus permitiu que a besta} falasse [MTY] com orgulho e insultasse a [Deus. ]Permitiu-se também {[Deus ]também deixou} que a besta exercesse autoridade [sobre as pessoas ]durante quarenta e dois meses.
6 And it opened its mouth for blasphemies against God, to blaspheme his name and his tabernacle, and those who have their tabernacle in the heaven.
Ela falava [MTY] para insultar a Deus, ultrajando o nome dele, para insultar o lugar onde Ele mora e para insultar os habitantes lá do céu.
7 And there was given to it to make war with the saints, and to overcome them; and there was given to it authority over every tribe, and people, and tongue, and nation;
Foi permitido {[Deus ]permitiu} que ela lutasse contra o povo de Deus e o derrotasse. Foi permitido {[Deus ]deixou} que [ela ]tivesse autoridade de [governar ]todas as tribos, [grupos ]étnicos, [falantes de ]todas as línguas [MTY] que existem e todas as nações.
8 and all that dwell on the earth shall do it homage, [every one] whose name had not been written from [the] founding of [the] world in the book of life of the slain Lamb.
A maioria [HYP] dos [habitantes ]da terra a cultuava. Foram estas as pessoas cujos nomes não foram escritos no livro [daquele que parece ]um cordeiro, que foi morto {cujos nomes aquele [que parece um cordeiro], que as [pessoas ]tinham matado, não tinham inscrito no seu livro}. Desde o princípio do mundo [Ele inscreveu nele os nomes das pessoas que ]viverão [para sempre. ]
9 If any one has an ear, let him hear.
Todos os que quiserem entender [MTY] devem escutar cuidadosamente [esta mensagem de Deus: ]
10 If any one [leads] into captivity, he goes into captivity. If any one shall kill with [the] sword, he must with [the] sword be killed. Here is the endurance and the faith of the saints.
Se [Deus determinou ]que os [inimigos ]de alguém fossem prendê-lo, esses [inimigos ]o prenderão. Se [Deus determinou que alguém ]fosse morto {[as pessoas ]fossem matar alguém} com espada, elas o matarão com espada. Portanto, o povo de Deus [deve permanecer] firme e fiel [a Ele.]
11 And I saw another beast rising out of the earth; and it had two horns like to a lamb, and spake as a dragon;
Vi outra besta, que surgia da terra. Tinha [na cabeça ]dois chifres como os de um cordeiro. Mas falava como [fala enganosa ]de um dragão.
12 and it exercises all the authority of the first beast before it, and causes the earth and those that dwell in it to do homage to the first beast, whose wound of death was healed.
Na presença da primeira besta, ela empregava toda a [mesma ]autoridade [da primeira besta de governar os seres humanos. ]Obrigou os habitantes da terra [MTY. DOU] a cultuarem a primeira besta, qual seja, aquela que foi curada da ferida quase-mortal.
13 And it works great signs, that it should cause even fire to come down from heaven to the earth before men.
A segunda besta praticou grandes milagres, até fazendo fogo cair do céu para a terra à vista dos seres humanos.
14 And it deceives those that dwell upon the earth by reason of the signs which it was given to it to work before the beast, saying to those that dwell upon the earth to make an image to the beast, which has the wound of the sword, and lived.
Ela praticava milagres em nome da [primeira ]besta. Fazendo assim, ela conseguiu enganar os [incrédulos ]da terra para eles [acreditarem que deviam adorar a primeira besta. Mas isto aconteceu somente porque ]foi permitido [por Deus ]{[Deus ]permitiu} [que acontecesse. ]Ela mandou os habitantes da terra construírem uma imagem da [primeira ]besta, aquela que [as pessoas ]tinham matado com espada e que [mesmo assim ]ressuscitou.
15 And it was given to it to give breath to the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should also speak, and should cause that as many as should not do homage to the image of the beast should be killed.
Permitiu-se {[Deus ]permitiu} que ela fizesse respirar a imagem da [primeira ]besta, para que essa imagem pudesse falar e mandar que fosse morto qualquer indivíduo que recusasse cultuar a imagem da besta.
16 And it causes all, the small and the great, and the rich and the poor, and the free and the bondmen, that they should give them a mark upon their right hand or upon their forehead;
A segunda besta exigiu também que [seus agentes ]marcassem [o nome da besta ]na mão direita ou na testa de todos os seres humanos, os de pouca ou de grande [importância social, ]fossem ricos ou pobres, livres ou escravos. [Todos]!
17 and that no one should be able to buy or sell save he that had the mark, the name of the beast, or the number of its name.
Eles assim fizeram para que ninguém pudesse comprar [nada ]ou vender [nada ]sem ter [na testa ]a referida marca, que é o nome da besta ou o número do nome dele.
18 Here is wisdom. He that has understanding let him count the number of the beast: for it is a man's number; and its number [is] six hundred [and] sixty-six.
A pessoa deve [pensar ]sabiamente para entender [o significado da marca. ]Aquele que pensa sabiamente deve reconhecer o [significado do ]número da besta, que é o nome de um homem. Esse número é 666.
