Psalms 99

1 Jehovah reigneth: let the peoples tremble. He sitteth [between the] cherubim: let the earth be moved.

Jehovah ist König, die Völker zittern. Er sitzt auf den Cheruben, es wankt die Erde.

2 Jehovah is great in Zion, and he is high above all the peoples.

Groß ist Jehovah in Zion und Er ist erhöht über alle Völker.

3 They shall praise thy great and terrible name, — it is holy! —

Sie sollen bekennen Deinen Namen. Groß und furchtbar, heilig ist er.

4 And the strength of the king that loveth justice. Thou hast established equity: it is thou that executest judgment and righteousness in Jacob.

Und die Stärke des Königs liebt das Recht. Du festigst, was gerade ist. Recht und Gerechtigkeit tust Du in Jakob.

5 Exalt Jehovah our God, and worship at his footstool. He is holy!

Erhöht Jehovah, unseren Gott, und betet an vor Seiner Füße Schemel, - heilig ist Er.

6 Moses and Aaron among his priests, and Samuel among them that call upon his name: they called unto Jehovah, and he answered them.

Mose und Aharon unter Seinen Priestern, und Samuel unter denen, die Seinen Namen anriefen. Sie riefen zu Jehovah, und Er antwortete ihnen.

7 He spoke unto them in the pillar of cloud: they kept his testimonies, and the statute that he gave them.

Gott redete zu ihnen in der Wolkensäule. Sie hielten Seine Zeugnisse, und die Satzung gab Er ihnen.

8 Jehovah, our God, thou answeredst them: a forgiving God wast thou unto them, though thou tookest vengeance of their doings.

Jehovah, unser Gott, Du antwortest ihnen, warst ihnen ein Gott, Der verzieh, aber rächte ihre Handlungen.

9 Exalt Jehovah our God, and worship at the hill of his holiness; for holy is Jehovah our God.

Erhöht Jehovah, unseren Gott, und betet an am Berge Seiner Heiligkeit; denn heilig ist Jehovah, unser Gott.
