Psalms 69
1 To the chief Musician. Upon Shoshannim. [A Psalm] of David. Save me, O God; for the waters are come in unto [my] soul.
Dem Musikmeister, nach “Lilien”. Von David. Hilf mir, o Gott, denn das Wasser geht mir bis an die Seele!
2 I sink in deep mire, where there is no standing; I am come into the depths of waters, and the flood overfloweth me.
Ich versinke im tiefen Schlamme, wo kein Grund ist; in Wassertiefen bin ich geraten, und die Flut hat mich überströmt.
3 I am weary with my crying, my throat is parched; mine eyes fail while I wait for my God.
Ich habe mich müde geschrieen, meine Kehle ist ausgedörrt; meine Augen verschmachten vom Harren auf meinen Gott.
4 They that hate me without a cause are more than the hairs of my head; they that would destroy me, being mine enemies wrongfully, are mighty: then I restored that which I took not away.
Derer, die mich ohne Ursach hassen, sind mehr, als der Haare auf meinem Haupte; zahlreicher als meine Gebeine sind, die mich grundlos befeinden. Was ich nicht geraubt habe, soll ich erstatten.
5 Thou, O God, knowest my foolishness, and my trespasses are not hidden from thee.
Gott, du kennst meine Thorheit, und meine Verschuldungen sind dir nicht verborgen.
6 Let not them that wait on thee, Lord, Jehovah of hosts, be ashamed through me; let not those that seek thee be confounded through me, O God of Israel.
Laß in mir nicht zu Schanden werden, die auf dich harren, o Herr, Jahwe der Heerscharen; laß in mir nicht beschämt werden, die dich suchen, Gott Israels!
7 Because for thy sake I have borne reproach; confusion hath covered my face.
Denn um deinetwillen trage ich Schmach, bedeckt Schande mein Angesicht.
8 I am become a stranger unto my brethren, and an alien unto my mother's sons;
Ich bin meinen Brüdern fremd geworden und unbekannt den Söhnen meiner Mutter.
9 For the zeal of thy house hath devoured me, and the reproaches of them that reproach thee have fallen upon me.
Denn der Eifer um dein Haus hat mich gefressen, und die Schmähungen derer, die dich schmähen, sind auf mich gefallen.
10 And I wept, my soul was fasting: that also was to my reproach; —
Ich kasteite durch Fasten meine Seele, und das ward mir zur Schmach.
11 And I made sackcloth my garment: then I became a proverb to them.
Ich machte ein härenes Gewand zu meinem Kleid und ward ihnen zum Gespött.
12 They that sit in the gate talk of me, and [I am] the song of the drunkards.
Es reden über mich, die im Thore sitzen, und das Saitenspiel der Würzweinzecher.
13 But as for me, my prayer is unto thee, Jehovah, in an acceptable time: O God, in the abundance of thy loving-kindness answer me, according to the truth of thy salvation:
Ich aber bete zu dir, Jahwe, zur wohlgefälligen Zeit; o Gott, nach deiner großen Gnade erhöre mich mit deiner treuen Hilfe!
14 Deliver me out of the mire, let me not sink; let me be delivered from them that hate me, and out of the depths of waters.
Errette mich aus dem Schlamme, daß ich nicht versinke; laß mich errettet werden von denen, die mich hassen, und aus Wassertiefen!
15 Let not the flood of waters overflow me, neither let the deep swallow me up; and let not the pit shut its mouth upon me.
Laß die Wasserflut mich nicht überströmen und die Tiefe mich nicht verschlingen, noch den Brunnen seinen Mund über mir schließen.
16 Answer me, O Jehovah; for thy loving-kindness is good: according to the abundance of thy tender mercies, turn toward me;
Erhöre mich, Jahwe, denn deine Gnade ist köstlich; wende dich zu mir nach deiner großen Barmherzigkeit.
17 And hide not thy face from thy servant, for I am in trouble: answer me speedily.
Und verbirg dein Antlitz nicht vor deinem Knechte; denn mir ist angst: eilend erhöre mich!
18 Draw nigh unto my soul, be its redeemer; ransom me because of mine enemies.
Nahe dich meiner Seele, erlöse sie; um meiner Feinde willen befreie mich!
19 Thou knowest my reproach, and my shame, and my dishonour: mine adversaries are all before thee.
Du kennst meine Schmach und Schande und Beschimpfung; alle meine Dränger sind dir bewußt.
20 Reproach hath broken my heart, and I am overwhelmed: and I looked for sympathy, but there was none; and for comforters, but I found none.
Die Schmach bricht mir das Herz, so daß ich verzweifle; ich wartete auf Mitleid, aber da war keines, und auf Tröster, aber ich fand sie nicht.
21 Yea, they gave me gall for my food, and in my thirst they gave me vinegar to drink.
Sie gaben mir Galle zur Speise, und als mich dürstete, tränkten sie mich mit Essig.
22 Let their table become a snare before them, and their very welfare a trap;
Möge ihr Tisch vor ihnen zur Schlinge und den Sicheren zum Fallstricke werden.
23 Let their eyes be darkened, that they see not, and make their loins continually to shake.
Mögen ihre Augen sich verfinstern, daß sie nicht sehen, und ihre Hüften laß beständig wanken.
24 Pour out thine indignation upon them, and let the fierceness of thine anger take hold of them.
Gieße deinen Grimm über sie aus, und die Glut deines Zorns erreiche sie.
25 Let their habitation be desolate; let there be no dweller in their tents.
Möge ihr Lager wüste werden, und kein Bewohner in ihren Zelten sein.
26 For they persecute him whom thou hast smitten, and they talk for the sorrow of those whom thou hast wounded.
Denn, den du selbst geschlagen hast, verfolgen sie und erzählen von dem Schmerze deiner Verwundeten.
27 Add iniquity unto their iniquity, and let them not come into thy righteousness.
Füge Verschuldung zu ihrer Verschuldung und laß sie nicht zu Gerechtigkeit vor dir gelangen.
28 Let them be blotted out of the book of life, and not be written with the righteous.
Sie müssen ausgelöscht werden aus dem Buche der Lebendigen und dürfen nicht aufgeschrieben werden mit den Frommen.
29 But I am afflicted and sorrowful: let thy salvation, O God, set me secure on high.
Ich aber bin elend und voller Schmerzen; deine Hilfe, o Gott, wird mich erhöhen.
30 I will praise the name of God with a song, and will magnify him with thanksgiving;
Ich will den Namen Gottes durch Lieder preisen und ihn verherrlichen mit Lobgesang.
31 And it shall please Jehovah more than an ox, — a bullock with horns and cloven hoofs.
Das wird Jahwe besser gefallen als ein Stier, ein Farre mit Hörnern und Klauen.
32 The meek shall see it, they shall be glad; ye that seek God, your heart shall live.
Die Gebeugten sehen's, freuen sich; die ihr Gott sucht, euer Herz lebe auf!
33 For Jehovah heareth the needy, and despiseth not his prisoners.
Denn Jahwe hört auf die Armen und verachtet seine Gefangenen nicht.
34 Let heavens and earth praise him; the seas, and everything that moveth therein.
Himmel und Erde müssen ihn preisen, das Meer und alles, was sich darin tummelt.
35 For God will save Zion, and will build the cities of Judah; and they shall dwell there, and possess it:
Denn Gott wird Zion helfen und die Städte Judas aufbauen, und man wird sich daselbst niederlassen und sie in Besitz nehmen.
36 And the seed of his servants shall inherit it, and they that love his name shall dwell therein.
Und die Nachkommen seiner Knechte werden sie zum Erbe erhalten, und die seinen Namen lieben, werden darin wohnen.
