Psalms 4
1 To the chief Musician. On stringed instruments. A Psalm of David. When I call, answer me, O God of my righteousness: in pressure thou hast enlarged me; be gracious unto me, and hear my prayer.
၁အကျွန်ုပ်ကိုဖြောင့်မတ်စေတော်မူသော ဘုရား၊ အကျွန်ုပ်ခေါ်သောအခါ နားထောင်တော်မူပါ။ အကျွန်ုပ် သည်ဆင်းရဲစဉ်တွင် ကိုယ်တော်သည် ချမ်းသာပေးတော် မူပါပြီ။ ယခုလည်းသနား၍ အကျွန်ုပ်၏ ပဌနာစကား ကို နားထောင်တော်မူပါ။
2 Ye sons of men, till when is my glory [to be put] to shame? [How long] will ye love vanity, will ye seek after a lie? (Selah)
၂အချင်းလူသားတို့၊ အဘယ်မျှ ကာလပတ်လုံး ငါ၏ဘုန်းကို ရှုတ်ချကြမည်နည်း။ အဘယ်မျှကာလပတ် လုံး အနတ္တကို နှစ်သက်၍ မုသာကို လိုက်ရှာကြမည် နည်း။
3 But know that Jehovah hath set apart the pious [man] for himself: Jehovah will hear when I call unto him.
၃ထာဝရဘုရားသည် မိမိသန့်ရှင်းသူကို ရွေးထား တော်မူသည်ကို သိမှတ်ကြလော့။ ငါခေါ်၍ လျှောက် သောအခါ၊ ထာဝရဘုရားသည် နားထောင်တော်မူလိမ့် မည်။
4 Be moved with anger, and sin not; meditate in your own hearts upon your bed, and be still. (Selah)
၄ကြောက်ရွံ့တုန်လှုပ်၍ ဒုစရိုက်အပြစ်ကို ရှောင် ကြလော့။ အိပ်ရာပေါ်မှာ ကိုယ်စိတ်နှလုံးနှင့် ဆွေးနွေး စဉ်းစား၍ တိတ်ဆိတ်ခြင်းရှိကြလော့။
5 Offer sacrifices of righteousness, and confide in Jehovah.
၅တရားသဖြင့်ယဇ်ပူဇော်၍ ထာဝရဘုရားကို ကိုးစားကြလော့။
6 Many say, Who shall cause us to see good? Lift up upon us the light of thy countenance, O Jehovah.
၆ကောင်းမွန်သော အရာကို ငါတို့အား အဘယ် သူပြမည်နည်းဟု မေးတတ်သော သူအများရှိပါသည် ဖြစ်၍၊ အိုထာဝရဘုရား၊ မျက်နှာတော်အလင်းကို အကျွန်ုပ်တို့အပေါ်မှာ ပေါ်ထွန်းစေတော်မူပါ။
7 Thou hast put joy in my heart, more than in the time that their corn and their new wine was in abundance.
၇သူတို့၌ ဆန်စပါး၊ စပျစ်ရည်ပေါများ၍၊ သူတို့ ဝမ်းမြောက်ခြင်းရှိသည်ထက် အကျွန်ုပ်ကိုသာ၍ ဝမ်း မြောက်စေတော်မူ၏။
8 In peace will I both lay me down and sleep; for thou, Jehovah, alone makest me to dwell in safety.
၈ငြိမ်ဝပ်စွာအိပ်၍ ပျော်ပါမည်။ အကြောင်းမူ ကား၊ အကျွန်ုပ်သည် လုံခြုံစွာနေရသောအခွင့်ကို ကိုယ် တော်အရှင် ထာဝရဘုရားသာလျှင် အခွင့်ပေးတော်မူ၏။
