Psalms 12

1 To the chief Musician. Upon Sheminith. A Psalm of David. Save, Jehovah, for the godly man is gone; for the faithful have failed from among the children of men.

ପ୍ରଧାନ ବାଦ୍ୟକର ନିମନ୍ତେ ଶମୀନୀତ୍‍ ସ୍ୱରରେ ଦାଉଦଙ୍କର ଗୀତ। ସଦାପ୍ରଭୋ, ସାହାଯ୍ୟ କର, କାରଣ ଧାର୍ମିକ ଲୋକ ଲୋପ ପାଇଅଛନ୍ତି; ମନୁଷ୍ୟ-ସନ୍ତାନଗଣ ମଧ୍ୟରୁ ବିଶ୍ୱସ୍ତ ଲୋକର ହ୍ରାସ ହୋଇଅଛି।

2 They speak falsehood every one with his neighbour: [with] flattering lip, with a double heart, do they speak.

ସେମାନେ ପ୍ରତ୍ୟେକେ ଆପଣା ଆପଣା ପ୍ରତିବାସୀମାନଙ୍କୁ ମିଥ୍ୟା କହନ୍ତି। ସେମାନେ ଚାଟୁବାଦୀ ଓଷ୍ଠାଧରରେ ଓ ଦ୍ୱିଧାଚିତ୍ତରେ କଥା କହନ୍ତି।

3 Jehovah will cut off all flattering lips, the tongue that speaketh proud things,

ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ଚାଟୁବାଦୀ ଓଷ୍ଠାଧରସବୁ ଓ ଦର୍ପବାଦୀ ଜିହ୍ୱା ଉଚ୍ଛିନ୍ନ କରିବେ;

4 Who have said, With our tongue will we prevail, our lips are our own: who [is] lord over us?

ସେମାନେ କହନ୍ତି, “ଆମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଜିହ୍ୱା ଦ୍ୱାରା ପ୍ରବଳ ହେବା; ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ଓଷ୍ଠାଧର ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ନିଜର; ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ଉପରେ କର୍ତ୍ତା କିଏ?”

5 Because of the oppression of the afflicted, because of the sighing of the needy, now will I arise, saith Jehovah, I will set [him] in safety, at whom they puff.

ଦୁଃଖୀଲୋକ ଲୁଟିତ ହେବାରୁ, ଦୀନହୀନ କାତରୋକ୍ତି କରିବାରୁ, ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ କହନ୍ତି, “ଆମ୍ଭେ ଏବେ ଉଠିବା; ସେମାନେ ଯାହା ପ୍ରତି ଫୁତ୍କାର କରନ୍ତି, ତାହାକୁ ଆମ୍ଭେ ନିରାପଦରେ ରଖିବା।”

6 The words of Jehovah are pure words, silver tried in the furnace of earth, purified seven times.

ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ବାକ୍ୟସବୁ ନିର୍ମଳ ବାକ୍ୟ, ତାହା ମୃତ୍ତିକାର ଉହ୍ମାଇରେ ପରୀକ୍ଷିତ ସାତ ଥର ପରିଷ୍କୃତ ରୂପା ତୁଲ୍ୟ।

7 Thou, Jehovah, wilt keep them, thou wilt preserve them from this generation for ever.

ହେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୋ, ତୁମ୍ଭେ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ରକ୍ଷା କରିବ, ତୁମ୍ଭେ ବର୍ତ୍ତମାନ ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କଠାରୁ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ସଦାକାଳ ଉଦ୍ଧାର କରିବ।

8 The wicked walk about on every side, when vileness is exalted among the children of men.

ମନୁଷ୍ୟ-ସନ୍ତାନଗଣ ମଧ୍ୟରେ ଅଧମତା ଉଚ୍ଚୀକୃତ ହେବା ବେଳେ ଦୁଷ୍ଟମାନେ ଚତୁର୍ଦ୍ଦିଗରେ ଭ୍ରମଣ କରନ୍ତି।
