Philippians 3
1 For the rest, my brethren, rejoice in [the] Lord: to write the same things to you, to me [is] not irksome, and for you safe.
Im übrigen, meine Brüder, freuet euch im Herrn. Ich wiederhole mich; doch mir entleidet es nicht und euch prägt sich's fester ein.
2 See to dogs, see to evil workmen, see to the concision.
Habet Acht auf die Hunde, auf die bösen Arbeiter, habet Acht auf die Zerschneidung.
3 For we are the circumcision, who worship by [the] Spirit of God, and boast in Christ Jesus, and do not trust in flesh.
Denn die Beschneidung, das sind wir, die wir durch Gottes Geist anbeten, und rühmen uns in Christus Jesus, und vertrauen nicht auf das Fleisch.
4 Though I have [my] trust even in flesh; if any other think to trust in flesh, I rather:
Wiewohl ich auch im Besitze dessen bin, was die Zuversicht im Fleische gibt. Meint ein anderer sich auf's Fleisch verlassen zu dürfen - ich kann es noch mehr:
5 as to circumcision, [I received it] the eighth day; of [the] race of Israel, of [the] tribe of Benjamin, Hebrew of Hebrews; as to [the] law, a Pharisee;
ich, mit acht Tagen beschnitten, aus dem Volk Israel, dem Stamme Benjamin, Hebräer von Hebräern, im Gesetze Pharisäer,
6 as to zeal, persecuting the assembly; as to righteousness which [is] in [the] law, found blameless;
im Eifer Verfolger der Gemeinde, in der Gerechtigkeit, der des Gesetzes, ohne Tadel bestanden.
7 but what things were gain to me these I counted, on account of Christ, loss.
Doch was mir Gewinn war, das habe ich um Christus willen für Schaden geachtet,
8 But surely I count also all things to be loss on account of the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord, on account of whom I have suffered the loss of all, and count them to be filth, that I may gain Christ;
vielmehr, ich achte noch alles für Schaden gegen die überwältigende Größe der Erkenntnis Christus Jesus' meines Herrn, um dessentwillen ich alles preisgegeben habe, und achte es für Abraum, auf daß ich Christus gewinne,
9 and that I may be found in him, not having my righteousness, which [would be] on the principle of law, but that which is by faith of Christ, the righteousness which [is] of God through faith,
und werde in ihm erfunden, nicht mit eigener Gerechtigkeit aus dem Gesetze, sondern mit der durch Glauben an Christus, mit der Gerechtigkeit aus Gott, auf Glauben,
10 to know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being conformed to his death,
ihn zu erkennen und die Kraft seiner Auferstehung und die Gemeinschaft seiner Leiden; seines Todes Gestalt annehmend,
11 if any way I arrive at the resurrection from among [the] dead.
ob ich gelangen möchte zur Auferstehung von den Toten.
12 Not that I have already obtained [the prize], or am already perfected; but I pursue, if also I may get possession [of it], seeing that also I have been taken possession of by Christ [Jesus].
Nicht daß ich es schon ergriffen habe oder schon vollendet sei; ich jage ihm aber nach, ob ich es ergreifen möchte, darum, daß ich auch ergriffen bin von Christus Jesus.
13 Brethren, I do not count to have got possession myself; but one thing — forgetting the things behind, and stretching out to the things before,
Brüder, ich achte von mir nicht, daß ich es ergriffen hätte, aber eines: was dahinten ist, vergesse ich, ich greife aus nach dem, was vor mir ist,
14 I pursue, [looking] towards [the] goal, for the prize of the calling on high of God in Christ Jesus.
ich verfolge mein Ziel, das im Siegespreis der Berufung droben, von Gott in Christus Jesus.
15 As many therefore as [are] perfect, let us be thus minded; and if ye are any otherwise minded, this also God shall reveal to you.
Wer nun vollkommen ist - so lasset uns alle denken. Denkt ihr noch in etwas anders, Gott wird euch auch darüber Licht geben.
16 But whereto we have attained, [let us] walk in the same steps.
Nur eines! soweit wir gekommen sind: Bahn halten!
17 Be imitators [all] together of me, brethren, and fix your eyes on those walking thus as you have us for a model;
Tretet mit ein in meine Nachfolge, Brüder, und sehet auf die, welche also wandeln, wie ihr uns zum Vorbilde habt.
18 (for many walk of whom I have told you often, and now tell you even weeping, that they [are] the enemies of the cross of Christ:
Denn es wandeln gar manche - ich habe euch oft von ihnen gesagt, und sage es jetzt mit Thränen, daß sie Feinde des Kreuzes Christus' sind.
19 whose end [is] destruction, whose god [is] the belly, and [their] glory in their shame, who mind earthly things: )
Ihr Ende ist Verderben, ihr Gott ist der Bauch, ihr Ruhm ist in ihrer Scham, ihr Sinn geht auf das Irdische.
20 for our commonwealth has its existence in [the] heavens, from which also we await the Lord Jesus Christ [as] Saviour,
Unser Bürgertum ist im Himmel, von wo wir auch als Heiland erwarten den Herrn Jesus Christus,
21 who shall transform our body of humiliation into conformity to his body of glory, according to the working of [the] power which he has even to subdue all things to himself.
der da verwandeln wird den Leib unserer Erniedrigung zur Gleichgestaltung mit dem Leib seiner Herrlichkeit, nach der Kraft, mit der er auch kann alles ihm unterthan machen.
