Philippians 1

1 Paul and Timotheus, bondmen of Jesus Christ, to all the saints in Christ Jesus who are in Philippi, with [the] overseers and ministers;

පෞලතීමථිනාමානෞ යීශුඛ්‍රීෂ්ටස්‍ය දාසෞ ඵිලිපිනගරස්ථාන් ඛ්‍රීෂ්ටයීශෝඃ සර්ව්වාන් පවිත්‍රලෝකාන් සමිතේරධ්‍යක්‍ෂාන් පරිචාරකාංශ්ච ප්‍රති පත්‍රං ලිඛතඃ|

2 grace to you, and peace from God our Father and [the] Lord Jesus Christ.

අස්මාකං තාත ඊශ්වරඃ ප්‍රභු ර‍්‍යීශුඛ්‍රීෂ්ටශ්ච යුෂ්මභ්‍යං ප්‍රසාදස්‍ය ශාන්තේශ්ච භෝගං දේයාස්තාං|

3 I thank my God for my whole remembrance of you,

අහං නිරන්තරං නිජසර්ව්වප්‍රාර්ථනාසු යුෂ්මාකං සර්ව්වේෂාං කෘතේ සානන්දං ප්‍රාර්ථනාං කුර්ව්වන්

4 constantly in my every supplication, making the supplication for you all with joy,

යති වාරාන් යුෂ්මාකං ස්මරාමි තති වාරාන් ආ ප්‍රථමාද් අද්‍ය යාවද්

5 because of your fellowship with the gospel, from the first day until now;

යුෂ්මාකං සුසංවාදභාගිත්වකාරණාද් ඊශ්වරං ධන්‍යං වදාමි|

6 having confidence of this very thing, that he who has begun in you a good work will complete it unto Jesus Christ's day:

යුෂ්මන්මධ්‍යේ යේනෝත්තමං කර්ම්ම කර්ත්තුම් ආරම්භි තේනෛව යීශුඛ්‍රීෂ්ටස්‍ය දිනං යාවත් තත් සාධයිෂ්‍යත ඉත්‍යස්මින් දෘඪවිශ්වාසෝ මමාස්තේ|

7 as it is righteous for me to think this as to you all, because ye have me in your hearts, and that both in my bonds and in the defence and confirmation of the glad tidings ye are all participators in my grace.

යුෂ්මාන් සර්ව්වාන් අධි මම තාදෘශෝ භාවෝ යථාර්ථෝ යතෝ(අ)හං කාරාවස්ථායාං ප්‍රත්‍යුත්තරකරණේ සුසංවාදස්‍ය ප්‍රාමාණ්‍යකරණේ ච යුෂ්මාන් සර්ව්වාන් මයා සාර්ද්ධම් ඒකානුග්‍රහස්‍ය භාගිනෝ මත්වා ස්වහෘදයේ ධාරයාමි|

8 For God is my witness how I long after you all in [the] bowels of Christ Jesus.

අපරම් අහං ඛ්‍රීෂ්ටයීශෝඃ ස්නේහවත් ස්නේහේන යුෂ්මාන් කීදෘශං කාඞ්ක්‍ෂාමි තදධීශ්වරෝ මම සාක්‍ෂී විද්‍යතේ|

9 And this I pray, that your love may abound yet more and more in full knowledge and all intelligence,

මයා යත් ප්‍රාර්ථ්‍යතේ තද් ඉදං යුෂ්මාකං ප්‍රේම නිත්‍යං වෘද්ධිං ගත්වා

10 that ye may judge of and approve the things that are more excellent, in order that ye may be pure and without offence for Christ's day,

ඥානස්‍ය විශිෂ්ටානාං පරීක්‍ෂිකායාශ්ච සර්ව්වවිධබුද්ධේ ර්බාහුල්‍යං ඵලතු,

11 being complete as regards the fruit of righteousness, which [is] by Jesus Christ, to God's glory and praise.

ඛ්‍රීෂ්ටස්‍ය දිනං යාවද් යුෂ්මාකං සාරල්‍යං නිර්විඝ්නත්වඤ්ච භවතු, ඊශ්වරස්‍ය ගෞරවාය ප්‍රශංසායෛ ච යීශුනා ඛ්‍රීෂ්ටේන පුණ්‍යඵලානාං පූර්ණතා යුෂ්මභ්‍යං දීයතාම් ඉති|

12 But I would have you know, brethren, that the circumstances in which I am have turned out rather to the furtherance of the glad tidings,

හේ භ්‍රාතරඃ, මාං ප්‍රති යද් යද් ඝටිතං තේන සුසංවාදප්‍රචාරස්‍ය බාධා නහි කින්තු වෘද්ධිරේව ජාතා තද් යුෂ්මාන් ඥාපයිතුං කාමයේ(අ)හං|

13 so that my bonds have become manifest [as being] in Christ in all the praetorium and to all others;

අපරම් අහං ඛ්‍රීෂ්ටස්‍ය කෘතේ බද්ධෝ(අ)ස්මීති රාජපුර‍්‍ය්‍යාම් අන්‍යස්ථානේෂු ච සර්ව්වේෂාං නිකටේ සුස්පෂ්ටම් අභවත්,

14 and that the most of the brethren, trusting in [the] Lord through my bonds, dare more abundantly to speak the word of God fearlessly.

ප්‍රභුසම්බන්ධීයා අනේකේ භ්‍රාතරශ්ච මම බන්ධනාද් ආශ්වාසං ප්‍රාප්‍ය වර්ද්ධමානේනෝත්සාහේන නිඃක්‍ෂෝභං කථාං ප්‍රචාරයන්ති|

15 Some indeed also for envy and strife, but some also for good will, preach the Christ.

කේචිද් ද්වේෂාද් විරෝධාච්චාපරේ කේචිච්ච සද්භාවාත් ඛ්‍රීෂ්ටං ඝෝෂයන්ති;

16 These indeed out of love, knowing that I am set for the defence of the glad tidings;

යේ විරෝධාත් ඛ්‍රීෂ්ටං ඝෝෂයන්ති තේ පවිත්‍රභාවාත් තන්න කුර්ව්වන්තෝ මම බන්ධනානි බහුතරක්ලෝශදායීනි කර්ත්තුම් ඉච්ඡන්ති|

17 but those out of contention, announce the Christ, not purely, supposing to arouse tribulation for my bonds.

යේ ච ප්‍රේම්නා ඝෝෂයන්ති තේ සුසංවාදස්‍ය ප්‍රාමාණ්‍යකරණේ(අ)හං නියුක්තෝ(අ)ස්මීති ඥාත්වා තත් කුර්ව්වන්ති|

18 What is it then? at any rate, in every way, whether in pretext or in truth, Christ is announced; and in this I rejoice, yea, also I will rejoice;

කිං බහුනා? කාපට්‍යාත් සරලභාවාද් වා භවේත්, යේන කේනචිත් ප්‍රකාරේණ ඛ්‍රීෂ්ටස්‍ය ඝෝෂණා භවතීත්‍යස්මින් අහම් ආනන්දාම්‍යානන්දිෂ්‍යාමි ච|

19 for I know that this shall turn out for me to salvation, through your supplication and [the] supply of the Spirit of Jesus Christ;

යුෂ්මාකං ප්‍රාර්ථනයා යීශුඛ්‍රීෂ්ටස්‍යාත්මනශ්චෝපකාරේණ තත් මන්නිස්තාරජනකං භවිෂ්‍යතීති ජානාමි|

20 according to my earnest expectation and hope, that in nothing I shall be ashamed, but in all boldness, as always, now also Christ shall be magnified in my body whether by life or by death.

තත්‍ර ච මමාකාඞ්ක්‍ෂා ප්‍රත්‍යාශා ච සිද්ධිං ගමිෂ්‍යති ඵලතෝ(අ)හං කේනාපි ප්‍රකාරේණ න ලජ්ජිෂ්‍යේ කින්තු ගතේ සර්ව්වස්මින් කාලේ යද්වත් තද්වද් ඉදානීමපි සම්පූර්ණෝත්සාහද්වාරා මම ශරීරේණ ඛ්‍රීෂ්ටස්‍ය මහිමා ජීවනේ මරණේ වා ප්‍රකාශිෂ්‍යතේ|

21 For for me to live [is] Christ, and to die gain;

යතෝ මම ජීවනං ඛ්‍රීෂ්ටාය මරණඤ්ච ලාභාය|

22 but if to live in flesh [is my lot], this is for me worth the while: and what I shall choose I cannot tell.

කින්තු යදි ශරීරේ මයා ජීවිතව්‍යං තර්හි තත් කර්ම්මඵලං ඵලිෂ්‍යති තස්මාත් කිං වරිතව්‍යං තන්මයා න ඥායතේ|

23 But I am pressed by both, having the desire for departure and being with Christ, [for] [it is] very much better,

ද්වාභ්‍යාම් අහං සම්පීඩ්‍යේ, දේහවාසත්‍යජනාය ඛ්‍රීෂ්ටේන සහවාසාය ච මමාභිලාෂෝ භවති යතස්තත් සර්ව්වෝත්තමං|

24 but remaining in the flesh [is] more necessary for your sakes;

කින්තු දේහේ මමාවස්ථිත්‍යා යුෂ්මාකම් අධිකප්‍රයෝජනං|

25 and having confidence of this, I know that I shall remain and abide along with you all, for your progress and joy in faith;

අහම් අවස්ථාස්‍යේ යුෂ්මාභිඃ සර්ව්වෛඃ සාර්ද්ධම් අවස්ථිතිං කරිෂ්‍යේ ච තයා ච විශ්වාසේ යුෂ්මාකං වෘද්ධ්‍යානන්දෞ ජනිෂ්‍යේතේ තදහං නිශ්චිතං ජානාමි|

26 that your boasting may abound in Christ Jesus through me by my presence again with you.

තේන ච මත්තෝ(අ)ර්ථතෝ යුෂ්මත්සමීපේ මම පුනරුපස්ථිතත්වාත් යූයං ඛ්‍රීෂ්ටේන යීශුනා බහුතරම් ආහ්ලාදං ලප්ස්‍යධ්වේ|

27 Only conduct yourselves worthily of the glad tidings of the Christ, in order that whether coming and seeing you, or absent, I may hear of what concerns you, that ye stand firm in one spirit, with one soul, labouring together in the same conflict with the faith of the glad tidings;

යූයං සාවධානා භූත්වා ඛ්‍රීෂ්ටස්‍ය සුසංවාදස්‍යෝපයුක්තම් ආචාරං කුරුධ්වං යතෝ(අ)හං යුෂ්මාන් උපාගත්‍ය සාක්‍ෂාත් කුර්ව්වන් කිං වා දූරේ තිෂ්ඨන් යුෂ්මාකං යාං වාර්ත්තාං ශ්‍රෝතුම් ඉච්ඡාමි සේයං යූයම් ඒකාත්මානස්තිෂ්ඨථ, ඒකමනසා සුසංවාදසම්බන්ධීයවිශ්වාසස්‍ය පක්‍ෂේ යතධ්වේ, විපක්‍ෂෛශ්ච කේනාපි ප්‍රකාරේණ න ව්‍යාකුලීක්‍රියධ්ව ඉති|

28 and not frightened in anything by the opposers, which is to them a demonstration of destruction, but of your salvation, and that from God;

තත් තේෂාං විනාශස්‍ය ලක්‍ෂණං යුෂ්මාකඤ්චේශ්වරදත්තං පරිත්‍රාණස්‍ය ලක්‍ෂණං භවිෂ්‍යති|

29 because to you has been given, as regards Christ, not only the believing on him but the suffering for him also,

යතෝ යේන යුෂ්මාභිඃ ඛ්‍රීෂ්ටේ කේවලවිශ්වාසඃ ක්‍රියතේ තන්නහි කින්තු තස්‍ය කෘතේ ක්ලේශෝ(අ)පි සහ්‍යතේ තාදෘශෝ වරඃ ඛ්‍රීෂ්ටස්‍යානුරෝධාද් යුෂ්මාභිඃ ප්‍රාපි,

30 having the same conflict which ye have seen in me, and now hear of in me.

තස්මාත් මම යාදෘශං යුද්ධං යුෂ්මාභිරදර්ශි සාම්ප්‍රතං ශ්‍රූයතේ ච තාදෘශං යුද්ධං යුෂ්මාකම් අපි භවති|
