John 1
1 In [the] beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
၁အစဦး၌ နှုတ်ကပတ်တော်ရှိ၏။ နှုတ်ကပတ်တော်သည် ဘုရားသခင်နှင့်အတူရှိ၏။ နှုတ်ကပတ်တော် သည်လည်း ဘုရားသခင်ဖြစ်တော်မူ၏။
2 He was in the beginning with God.
၂ထိုနှုတ်ကပတ်တော်သည် အစဦး၌ ဘုရားသခင်နှင့်အတူရှိ၏။
3 All things received being through him, and without him not one [thing] received being which has received being.
၃နှုတ်ကပတ်တော်သည် ခပ်သိမ်းသောအရာတို့ကို ဖန်ဆင်းတော်မူ၏။ ဖန်ဆင်းတော်မူခြင်းနှင့် ကင်း လွတ်လျက်ဖြစ်သော အရာတစုံတခုမျှမရှိ။
4 In him was life, and the life was the light of men.
၄ထိုနှုတ်ကပတ်တော်၌ အသက်ရှိ၏။ ထိုအသက်သည်လည်း လူတို့၏အလင်းဖြစ်၏။
5 And the light appears in darkness, and the darkness apprehended it not.
၅ထိုအလင်းသည် မှောင်မိုက်၌ လင်း၍ မှောင်မိုက်သည် မခံမယူ။
6 There was a man sent from God, his name John.
၆ယောဟန်အမည်ရှိသော သူတယောက်ကို ဘုရားသခင်စေလွှတ်တော်မူ၏။
7 He came for witness, that he might witness concerning the light, that all might believe through him.
၇ထိုသူကိုလူအပေါင်းတို့သည် အမှီပြု၍ယုံကြည်ခြင်းသို့ ရောက်မည်အကြောင်း ထိုသူသည် သက်သေ ခံဖြစ်၍၊ အလင်းတော်၏အကြောင်းကို သက်သေခံခြင်းငှါလာ၏။
8 He was not the light, but that he might witness concerning the light.
၈ထိုသူသည် အလင်းတော်မဟုတ်။ အလင်းတော်၏အကြောင်းကို သက်သေခံခြင်းငှါသာလာ၏။
9 The true light was that which, coming into the world, lightens every man.
၉ဟုတ်မှန်သောအလင်းမူကား၊ ဤလောကသို့ကြွလာလျက် ခပ်သိမ်းသောလူအပေါင်းတို့အား အလင်း ကို ပေးသောသူဖြစ်သတည်း။
10 He was in the world, and the world had [its] being through him, and the world knew him not.
၁၀ထိုသူသည်ဤလောက၌ရှိတော်မူပြီ။ ဤလောကကိုလည်း ဖန်ဆင်းတော်မူပြီ။ သို့သော်လည်း ဤလော ကသည် ထိုသူကိုမသိ။
11 He came to his own, and his own received him not;
၁၁သူသည်မိမိဒေသအရပ်သို့ကြွလာသော်လည်း၊ မိမိလူမျိုးတို့သည် သူ့ကိုလက်မခံဘဲနေကြ၏။
12 but as many as received him, to them gave he [the] right to be children of God, to those that believe on his name;
၁၂ထိုသူကိုလက်ခံသမျှသောသူတည်းဟူသော ကိုယ်တော်ကို ယုံကြည်သောသူတို့အား၊ ဘုရားသခင်၏ သားဖြစ်ရသောအခွင့်ကို ပေးတော်မူ၏။
13 who have been born, not of blood, nor of flesh's will, nor of man's will, but of God.
၁၃ထိုသားတို့မူကား၊ လူမျိုးနှင့်စပ်ဆိုင်၍ ဘွားသောသားမဟုတ်။ မေထုန်သံဝါသအားဖြင့် ဘွားသော သားမဟုတ်။ လူအလိုအလျောက်ဘွားသောသားမဟုတ်။ ဘုရားသခင်ဘွားတော်မူသောသားဖြစ်သတည်း။
14 And the Word became flesh, and dwelt among us (and we have contemplated his glory, a glory as of an only-begotten with a father), full of grace and truth;
၁၄နှုတ်ကပတ်တော်သည်လည်း လူဇာတိအဖြစ်ကို ခံယူ၍၊ ကျေးဇူးတော်နှင့်၎င်း၊ သစ္စာတော်နှင့်၎င်း ပြည့်စုံလျက် ငါတို့တွင်တည်နေတော်မူသည်ဖြစ်၍၊ ခမည်းတော်၌တပါးတည်းသောသားတော်၏ ဘုန်းကဲ့သို့ သူ၏ဘုန်းတော်ကို ငါတို့သည် မြင်ရကြပြီ။
15 (John bears witness of him, and he has cried, saying, This was he of whom I said, He that comes after me is preferred before me, for he was before me; )
၁၅ယောဟန်သည် ထိုသခင်၏အကြောင်းကို သက်သေခံ၍ ကြွေးကြော်သည်ကား၊ ငါ့နောက်ကြွလာ သောသူသည် ငါမရှိမှီ ရှိနှင့်သည်ဖြစ်၍၊ ငါ့ထက်သာ၍ ကြီးမြတ်သည်ဟု ငါဆိုရာ၌၊ ထိုသူကိုဆိုလိုသည်ဟု သက်သေခံလေ၏။
16 for of his fulness we all have received, and grace upon grace.
၁၆ထိုသူ၏ပြည့်စုံခြင်းမှလည်း ကျေးဇူးတပါး၌ ထပ်ဆင့်၍ ကျေးဇူးတပါးကိုငါတို့ရှိသမျှသည်ခံရကြပြီ။
17 For the law was given by Moses: grace and truth subsists through Jesus Christ.
၁၇အကြောင်းမူကား၊ ပညတ်တရားတော်ကို မောရှေလက်တွင် ပေးတော်မူ၏။ ကျေးဇူးတရားနှင့် သစ္စာ တရားမူကား ယေရှုခရစ်အားဖြင့် ဖြစ်သတည်း။
18 No one has seen God at any time; the only-begotten Son, who is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared [him].
၁၈ဘုရားသခင်ကို အဘယ်သူမျှ မမြင်စဖူးသော်လည်း၊ ခမည်းတော်၏ရင်ခွင်၌ရှိသော တပါးတည်း သောသားတော်သည် ဘုရားသခင်ကို ထင်ရှားစေတော်မူပြီ။
19 And this is the witness of John, when the Jews sent from Jerusalem priests and Levites that they might ask him, Thou, who art thou?
၁၉ယုဒလူတို့က၊ သင်သည်အဘယ်သူနည်းဟု ယောဟန်ကိုမေးမြန်းစေခြင်းငှါ ယဇ်ပုရောဟိတ်နှင့် လေဝိလူတို့ကို ယေရုရှလင်မြို့မှ စေလွှတ်သောအခါ၊ ယောဟန်သည် သက်သေခံလေသည်မှာ၊
20 And he acknowledged and denied not, and acknowledged, I am not the Christ.
၂၀ငါသည် ခရစ်တော်မဟုတ်ဟု ထိမ်ဝှက်ခြင်းမရှိ။ အတည့်အလင်းပြောဆို၏။
21 And they asked him, What then? Art thou Elias? And he says, I am not. Art thou the prophet? And he answered, No.
၂၁ထိုသူတို့ကလည်း၊ သို့ဖြစ်လျှင် သင်သည်အဘယ်သူနည်း။ ဧလိယဖြစ်သလောဟု မေးမြန်းပြန်၏။ ယောဟန်က၊ ငါသည် ဧလိယမဟုတ်ဟုဆို၏။ ဤမည်သော ပရောဖက်ဖြစ်သလောဟု မေးပြန်လျှင်၊ မဟုတ်ဟု ဆိုပြန်၏။
22 They said therefore to him, Who art thou? that we may give an answer to those who sent us. What sayest thou of thyself?
၂၂ထိုသူတို့ကလည်း၊ သင်သည်အဘယ်သူနည်း။ ငါတို့ကိုစေလွှတ်သောသူတို့အား ပြန်လျှောက်စရာ ရှိစေ ခြင်းငှါ၊ သင်သည်ကိုယ်ကို အဘယ်သို့ဆိုသနည်းဟု မေးပြန်ကြ၏။
23 He said, I [am] [the] voice of one crying in the wilderness, Make straight the path of [the] Lord, as said Esaias the prophet.
၂၃ယောဟန်ကလည်း၊ ငါသည်ပရောဖက် ဟေရှာယဟောပြောသည်နှင့်အညီ၊ ထာဝရဘုရား၏ လမ်းခရီး တော်ကို ဖြောင့်စေကြလော့ဟု တော၌ဟစ်ကြော်သောသူ၏အသံဖြစ်သည်ဟု ဆို၏။
24 And they were sent from among the Pharisees.
၂၄အစေခံသောသူတို့ကား၊ ဖာရိရှဲဖြစ်ကြသတည်း။
25 And they asked him and said to him, Why baptisest thou then, if thou art not the Christ, nor Elias, nor the prophet?
၂၅ထိုသူတို့ကလည်း၊ သင်သည် ခရစ်တော်မဟုတ်၊ ဧလိယမဟုတ်၊ ဤမည်သော ပရောဖက်မဟုတ်သည် မှန်လျှင် အဘယ်ကြောင့် ဗတ္တိဇံကိုပေးသနည်းဟု မေးပြန်ကြ၏။
26 John answered them saying, I baptise with water. In the midst of you stands, whom ye do not know,
၂၆ယောဟန်ကလည်း၊ ငါသည်ရေ၌ ဗတ္တိဇံကိုပေး၏။ သင်တို့အလယ်၌သင်တို့မသိသော သူတယောက် ရှိ၏။
27 he who comes after me, the thong of whose sandal I am not worthy to unloose.
၂၇ထိုသူသည်ငါ့နောက်ကြွလာသော်လည်း ငါ့ထက်သာ၍ကြီးမြတ်၏။ ထိုသူ၏ခြေနင်းတော်ကြိုးကိုမျှ ဖြည်ခြင်းငှါငါမထိုက်ဟုပြန်ပြော၏။
28 These things took place in Bethany, across the Jordan, where John was baptising.
၂၈ယောဟန်သည်ဗတ္တဇံကိုပေးရာအရပ်၊ ယော်ဒန်မြစ်တဘက် ဗေသနိရွာ၌ ဤအမှုအရာဖြစ်သတည်း။
29 On the morrow he sees Jesus coming to him, and says, Behold the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world.
၂၉နက်ဖြန်နေ့၌ယေရှုကြွလာတော်မူသည်ကို ယောဟန်သည်မြင်လျှင်၊ ဤလောက၏အပြစ်ကို ဆောင် သွားသော ဘုရားသခင်၏ သိုးသငယ်ကိုကြည့်လော့။
30 He it is of whom I said, A man comes after me who takes a place before me, because he was before me;
၃၀ငါမရှိမှီရှိနှင့်သည်ဖြစ်၍၊ ငါ့ထက်သာ၍ ကြီးမြတ်သောသူသည် ငါ့နောက်ကြွလာသည်ဟု ငါဆိုရာ၌၊ ထိုသူကိုဆိုလို၏။
31 and I knew him not; but that he might be manifested to Israel, therefore have I come baptising with water.
၃၁အစကထိုသူကိုငါမသိ။ သို့သော်လည်း ထိုသူကို ဣသရေလလူတို့အား ထင်ရှားစေခြင်းငှါ ငါသည် ရေ၌ ဗတ္တိဇံကိုပေးလျက်လာ၏။
32 And John bore witness, saying, I beheld the Spirit descending as a dove from heaven, and it abode upon him.
၃၂ထိုမှတပါး ဝိညာဉ်တော်သည်ကောင်းကင်မှ ချိုးငှက်ကဲ့သို့ ဆင်းသက်၍ ထိုသူ၏အပေါ်၌ နားတော်မူ သည်ကို ငါမြင်ရပြီ။
33 And I knew him not; but he who sent me to baptise with water, he said to me, Upon whom thou shalt see the Spirit descending and abiding on him, he it is who baptises with [the] Holy Spirit.
၃၃အစကထိုသူကိုငါမသိ။ ရေ၌ဗတ္တိဇံကိုပေးစေခြင်းငှါ ငါ့ကိုစေလွှတ်တော်မူသောသူက၊ အကြင်သူ၏ အပေါ်၌ ဝိညာဉ်တော်ဆင်းသက်၍နားတော်မူသည်ကို သင်သည်မြင်လျှင်၊ ထိုသူကားသန့်ရှင်းသော ဝိညာဉ် တော်၌ ဗတ္တိဇံကိုပေးသောသူပေတည်းဟု မိန့်တော်မူသည်နှင့်အညီ။
34 And I have seen and borne witness that this is the Son of God.
၃၄ငါသည်မြင်၍ ဤသူသည် ဘုရားသခင်၏ သားတော်ဖြစ်တော်မူကြောင်းကို သက်သေခံသည်ဟု ယောဟန်ဆိုလေ၏။
35 Again, on the morrow, there stood John and two of his disciples.
၃၅တဖန်ယောဟန်သည် နက်ဖြန်နေ့၌ တပည့်နှစ်ယောက်တို့နှင့် အတူရပ်နေ၍၊
36 And, looking at Jesus as he walked, he says, Behold the Lamb of God.
၃၆ယေရှုကြွတော်မူသည်ကိုမြင်လျှင်၊ ဘုရားသခင်၏ သိုးသငယ်ကို ကြည့်လော့ဟုဆို၏။
37 And the two disciples heard him speaking, and followed Jesus.
၃၇တပည့်နှစ်ယောက်တို့သည် ထိုစကားကိုကြားလျှင်၊ ယေရှုနောက်တော်သို့ လိုက်ကြ၏။
38 But Jesus having turned, and seeing them following, says to them, What seek ye? And they said to him, Rabbi (which, being interpreted, signifies Teacher), where abidest thou?
၃၈ယေရှုသည်လှည့်၍ ထိုသူတို့ လိုက်ကြသည်ကိုမြင်တော်မူလျှင်၊ အဘယ်အလိုရှိသနည်းဟု မေးတော် မူ၏။ ထိုသူတို့က၊ ရဗ္ဗိ၊ ကိုယ်တော်သည် အဘယ်မှာနေတော်မူသနည်းဟု မေးလျှောက်ကြ၏။ ရဗ္ဗိ၊ အနက် ကား၊ အရှင်ဘုရားဟု ဆိုလိုသတည်း။
39 He says to them, Come and see. They went therefore, and saw where he abode; and they abode with him that day. It was about the tenth hour.
၃၉ယေရှုကလည်း လာ၍ကြည့်ကြလော့ဟု မိန့်တော်မူ၏။ ထိုသူတို့သည်သွား၍ နေတော်မူရာအရပ်ကို ကြည့်ကြ၏။ ထိုအချိန်သည် ဆယ်နာရီအချိန်ဖြစ်၍ မိုဃ်းချုပ်သည်တိုင်အောင် အထံတော်၌နေကြ၏။
40 Andrew, the brother of Simon Peter, was one of the two who heard [this] from John and followed him.
၄၀ယောဟန်၏စကားကိုကြား၍ နောက်တော်သို့ လိုက်သောသူနှစ်ယောက်တို့တွင် တယောက်ကား ရှိမုန် ပေတရုညီအန္ဒြပေတည်း။
41 He first finds his own brother Simon, and says to him, We have found the Messias (which being interpreted is Christ).
၄၁ထိုသူသည် မိမိအစ်ကို ရှိမုန်ကို ရှေးဦးစွာတွေ့လျှင်၊ ငါတို့သည် မေရှိကိုတွေ့ကြပြီဟု ပြောဆိုလျက်၊
42 And he led him to Jesus. Jesus looking at him said, Thou art Simon, the son of Jonas; thou shalt be called Cephas (which interpreted is stone).
၄၂သူ့ကိုယေရှုထံသို့ ပို့ဆောင်လေ၏။ မေရှိအနက်ကား ခရစ်တော်ဟုဆိုလိုသတည်း။ ယေရှုသည် ထိုသူ ကိုကြည့်ရှု၍၊ သင်သည်ယောန၏သားရှိမုန်ဖြစ်၏ ကေဖအမည်သစ်ကို ရလတံ့ဟုမိန့်တော်မူ၏၊ ကေဖအနက် ကား ပေတရုဟုဆိုလိုသတည်း။
43 On the morrow he would go forth into Galilee, and Jesus finds Philip, and says to him, Follow me.
၄၃နက်ဖြန်နေ့၌ ဂါလိလဲပြည်သို့ကြွခြင်းငှါ အလိုတော်ရှိလျှင် ဖိလိပ္ပုကိုတွေ့၍၊ ငါ့နောက်သို့ လိုက်လော့ ဟု မိန့်တော်မူ၏။
44 And Philip was from Bethsaida, of the city of Andrew and Peter.
၄၄ဖိလိပ္ပုကား၊ အန္ဒြေနှင့်ပေတရုမွေးဘွားရာ ဗက်ဇဲဒမြို့မှ လာသောသူဖြစ်သတည်း။
45 Philip finds Nathanael, and says to him, We have found him of whom Moses wrote in the law, and the prophets, Jesus, the son of Joseph, who is from Nazareth.
၄၅ဖိလိပ္ပုသည်နာသနေလကိုတွေ့လျှင်၊ မောရှေသည် ပညတ္တိကျမ်း၌၎င်း၊ ပရောဖက်တို့သည် သူတို့ကျမ်း ၌၎င်း အကြောင်းပြု၍ ရေးထားသောသူ၊ နာဇရက်မြို့သားဖြစ်သော ယောသပ်၏သား ယေရှုကို ငါတို့သည် တွေ့ကြပြီဟုဆို၏။
46 And Nathanael said to him, Can anything good come out of Nazareth? Philip says to him, Come and see.
၄၆နာသနေလကလည်း၊ နာဇရက်မြို့ထဲက ကောင်းသောအရာတစုံတခုမျှ ထွက်နိုင်သလောဟုမေးလျှင်၊ ဖိလိပ္ပုက၊ လာ၍ကြည့်ပါဟုဆို၏။
47 Jesus saw Nathanael coming to him, and says of him, Behold [one] truly an Israelite, in whom there is no guile.
၄၇နာသနေလလာသည်ကို ယေရှုသည် မြင်တော်မူလျှင်၊ လှည့်စားခြင်းအပြစ်နှင့်ကင်းလွတ်သော ဣသရေလလူစစ်ကိုကြည့်လော့ဟု ထိုသူကိုအမှတ်ပြု၍ မိန့်တော်မူ၏။
48 Nathanael says to him, Whence knowest thou me? Jesus answered and said to him, Before that Philip called thee, when thou wast under the fig-tree, I saw thee.
၄၈နာသနေလကလည်း၊ ကိုယ်တော်သည် အဘယ်သို့သောအားဖြင့် အကျွန်ုပ်ကို သိတော်မူသနည်းဟု မေးလျှောက်သော်၊ ယေရှုက၊ ဖိလိပ္ပုသည် သင့်ကိုမခေါ်မှီ၊ သင်သည် သင်္ဘောသဖန်းပင်အောက်၌ရှိသည်ကို ငါ မြင်သည်ဟု ပြန်၍မိန့်တော်မူလျှင်၊
49 Nathanael answered and said to him, Rabbi, thou art the Son of God, thou art the King of Israel.
၄၉အရှင်ဘုရား၊ ကိုယ်တော်သည် ဘရားသခင်၏သားတော်ဖြစ်တော်မူ၏၊ ဣသရေလလူတို့၏ ရှင်ဘုရင် လည်း ဖြစ်တော်မူ၏ဟု နာသနေလလျှောက်လေ၏။
50 Jesus answered and said to him, Because I said to thee, I saw thee under the fig-tree, believest thou? Thou shalt see greater things than these.
၅၀တဖန်ယေရှုက၊ သင်္ဘောသဖန်းပင်အောက်၌ သင့်ကိုငါမြင်သည်ဟုဆိုသောကြောင့် ယုံသလော။ ထိုမျှ မက သင်သည်သာ၍ ကြီးစွာသောအကြောင်းအရာကို မြင်လတံ့။
51 And he says to him, Verily, verily, I say to you, Henceforth ye shall see the heaven opened, and the angels of God ascending and descending on the Son of man.
၅၁သင်တို့အား ငါအမှန်အကန်ဆိုသည်ကား၊ နောင်ကာလ၌ ကောင်းကင်ဖွင့်လှစ်သည်ကို၎င်း၊ ဘုရား သခင်၏ ကောင်းကင်တမန်တို့သည် လူသား၏အပေါ်၌ ဆင်းလျက်တက်လျက်ရှိနေသည်ကို၎င်း၊ သင်တို့သည် မြင်ရကြလတံ့ဟု မိန့်တော်မူ၏။
