Job 37
1 Aye, my heart trembleth at this also, and leapeth up out of its place:
Εις τούτο έτι η καρδία μου τρέμει και εκπηδά από του τόπου αυτής.
2 Hear attentively the roar of his voice, and the murmur going forth from his mouth.
Ακούσατε προσεκτικώς την τρομεράν φωνήν αυτού και τον ήχον τον εξερχόμενον εκ του στόματος αυτού.
3 He sendeth it forth under the whole heaven, and his lightning unto the ends of the earth.
Αποστέλλει αυτήν υποκάτω παντός του ουρανού και το φως αυτού επί τα έσχατα της γης.
4 After it a voice roareth: he thundereth with the voice of his excellency, and holdeth not back the flashes when his voice is heard.
Κατόπιν αυτού βοά φωνή· βροντά με την φωνήν της μεγαλωσύνης αυτού· και δεν θέλει στήσει αυτά, αφού η φωνή αυτού ακουσθή.
5 God thundereth marvellously with his voice, doing great things which we do not comprehend.
Ο Θεός βροντά θαυμασίως με την φωνήν αυτού· κάμνει μεγαλεία, και δεν εννοούμεν.
6 For he saith to the snow, Fall on the earth! and to the pouring rain, even the pouring rains of his might.
Διότι λέγει προς την χιόνα, γίνου επί την γήν· και προς την ψεκάδα και προς τον υετόν της δυνάμεως αυτού.
7 He sealeth up the hand of every man; that all men may know his work.
Κατασφραγίζει την χείρα παντός ανθρώπου· διά να γνωρίσωσι πάντες οι άνθρωποι το έργον αυτού.
8 And the wild beast goeth into its lair, and they remain in their dens.
Τότε τα θηρία εισέρχονται εις τα σπήλαια και κατασκηνούσιν εν τοις τόποις αυτών.
9 From the chamber [of the south] cometh the whirlwind; and cold from the winds of the north.
Εκ του νότου έρχεται ο ανεμοστρόβιλος, και το ψύχος εκ του βορρά.
10 By the breath of God ice is given; and the breadth of the waters is straitened.
Εκ του φυσήματος του Θεού δίδεται πάγος· και το πλάτος των υδάτων στερεούται.
11 Also with plentiful moisture he loadeth the thick clouds, his light dispels the cloud;
Πάλιν η γαλήνη διασκεδάζει την νεφέλην· το φως αυτού διασκορπίζει τα νέφη·
12 And they are turned every way by his guidance, that they may do whatsoever he commandeth them upon the face of the circuit of the earth,
και αυτά περιφέρονται κύκλω υπό τας οδηγίας αυτού, διά να κάμνωσι παν ό, τι προστάζει εις αυτά επί το πρόσωπον της οικουμένης·
13 Whether he cause it to come as a rod, or for his land, or in mercy.
κάμνει αυτά να έρχωνται, ή διά παιδείαν, ή διά την γην αυτού, ή διά έλεος.
14 Hearken unto this, Job; stand still and discern the wondrous works of God.
Ακροάσθητι τούτο, Ιώβ· στάθητι και συλλογίσθητι τα θαυμάσια του Θεού.
15 Dost thou know how God hath disposed them, and how he causeth the lightning of his cloud to flash?
Εννοείς πως ο Θεός διατάττει αυτά, και κάμνει να λάμπη το φως της νεφέλης αυτού;
16 Dost thou know about the balancings of the clouds, the wondrous works of him that is perfect in knowledge?
Εννοείς τα ζυγοσταθμίσματα των νεφών, τα θαυμάσια του τελείου κατά την γνώσιν;
17 How thy garments become warm when he quieteth the earth by the south wind?
Διά τι τα ενδύματά σου είναι θερμά, όταν αναπαύη την γην διά του νότου;
18 Hast thou with him spread out the sky, firm, like a molten mirror?
Εξήπλωσας μετ' αυτού το στερέωμα το δυνατόν ως κάτοπτρον χυτόν;
19 Teach us what we shall say unto him! We cannot order [our words] by reason of darkness.
Δίδαξον ημάς τι να είπωμεν προς αυτόν· ημείς δεν δυνάμεθα να διατάξωμεν τους λόγους ημών εξ αιτίας του σκότους.
20 Shall it be told him if I would speak? if a man [so] say, surely he shall be swallowed up.
Θέλει αναγγελθή προς αυτόν, εάν εγώ λαλώ; εάν λαλήση άνθρωπος, βεβαίως θέλει καταποθή.
21 And now [men] see not the light as it gleameth, it is [hidden] in the skies. But the wind passeth by and cleareth them.
Τώρα δε οι άνθρωποι δεν δύνανται να ατενίσωσιν εις το λαμπρόν φως, το εν τω στερεώματι, αφού ο άνεμος περάση και καθαρίση αυτό,
22 From the north cometh gold; with God is terrible majesty.
και χρυσαυγής καιρός έλθη από βορρά. Φοβερά δόξα υπάρχει εν τω Θεώ.
23 The Almighty, we cannot find him out: excellent in power, and in judgment, and in abundance of justice, he doth not afflict.
Τον Παντοδύναμον, δεν δυνάμεθα να εννοήσωμεν αυτόν· είναι υπέροχος κατά την δύναμιν και κατά την κρίσιν και κατά το πλήθος της δικαιοσύνης, δεν καταθλίβει.
24 Men do therefore fear him: he respecteth not any that are wise of heart.
Διά τούτο οι άνθρωποι φοβούνται αυτόν· ουδείς σοφός την καρδίαν δύναται να εννοήση αυτόν.
