< Job 15 >

1 And Eliphaz the Temanite answered and said,
Hichun Teman mipa Eliphaz in adonbut in;
2 Should a wise man answer with windy knowledge, and fill his belly with the east wind,
Michingin hitobang thu hom keu chu donbut ponte. Nang hi imacha hilou nahin chule khohui hungnung bep nahi.
3 Reasoning with unprofitable talk, and with speeches which do no good?
Michingin tang louva thu homkeu sei din akigo jipon, hitobang thu a chu ipi phatchomna um'em?
4 Yea, thou makest piety of none effect, and restrainest meditation before God.
Pathen ginna neilou nahim, ama dinga jana neilou nahi.
5 For thy mouth uttereth thine iniquity, and thou hast chosen the tongue of the crafty.
Nachonsetna ho chun nakama ipi seiding ham ti naseipeh untin, nathucheng hohi joulhep themtah chunga kingam ahi.
6 Thine own mouth condemneth thee, and not I; and thy lips testify against thee.
Nangma kam tah chun themmo nachan sah ahin, kei kahipoi; namuh mama chun nang douna a thu asei ahi.
7 Art thou the first man that was born? and wast thou brought forth before the hills?
Nanghi apeng masapen nahim? Molle lhang ho kisem masanga peng nahim?
8 Hast thou listened in the secret council of God? And hast thou absorbed wisdom for thyself?
Pathen in guhthima nahilna ho nangai hinam? Chihna chu nangma tum dinga nanei hinam?
9 What knowest thou that we know not? [what] understandest thou which is not in us?
Keihon kahet louvu ipi nahetna, keihon kahet khen theilouvu nangin nahet khen thei um'em?
10 Both the greyheaded and the aged are with us, older than thy father.
Keiho langa hin upa tah tah samkangsa apangun amaho chu napa sanga hatah a tahjo ahiuve.
11 Are the consolations of God too small for thee? and the word gently spoken to thee?
Pathen in nalhamon chu nang dinga neo behseh a ham? Nemma athusei chu lhing joulou ham?
12 Why doth thy heart carry thee away? and why do thine eyes wink?
Naki gellhah na chu ipin nalah mang peh ham? Na khomu theina chu ipin alhahsam sah ham?
13 That thou turnest thy spirit against God, and lettest words go out of thy mouth?
Hiti chun Pathen dounan nakihei mangin, chule hitobang thuphalou hi naseije.
14 What is man, that he should be pure? and he that is born of a woman, that he should be righteous?
Thithei khat tou chu theng theijem? Numeija pengdoh mihem chu adih a umthei ding ham?
15 Behold, he putteth no trust in his holy ones, and the heavens are not pure in his sight:
Ven Pathen in vantil ho jeng jong atahsan joupoi, ama mitmu in vanho jeng jong athengsel poi.
16 How much less the abominable and corrupt, — man, that drinketh unrighteousness like water!
Chonsetna dimho leh lheplhahna dimho leh gitlouna a dangchah ho chu ichan geijin thenna alhasam tadem?
17 I will shew thee, listen to me; and what I have seen I will declare;
Kathusei nangai dingle keiman navet sah inge, ken katahsa tah a kahet ho a kon in nadonbut inge.
18 Which wise men have told from their fathers, and have not hidden;
Apa teuva konna hiche thu mama hi ajah uva, michingho hetsah dungjuija hiche hi kisudet ahi.
19 Unto whom alone the earth was given, and no stranger passed among them.
Gamdang miho hunglhun masang sot laipeh a chu koiham khat hitobang ho a konna gamkhat ana kipe ahi.
20 All his days the wicked man is tormented, and numbered years are allotted to the violent.
Migiloupa chu ahinkho lhum keijin nat gim genthei thoh in akipeh peh in lungsetna neilou ho dingin hahsat gentheina kum jat tamtah kikhol ahi.
21 The sound of terrors is in his ears: in prosperity the destroyer cometh upon him.
Ama banga kichat tijatna O aging jingin chule nikho phaho jeng jong misumang hon ahin delkhum dio kichatnan aneije.
22 He believeth not that he shall return out of darkness, and he is singled out for the sword.
Muthim lah a chedoh ding amahon angapcha pouve, kichatna jeh a amahon tol atha dingu ahi.
23 He wandereth abroad for bread, — where may it be? He knoweth that the day of darkness is ready at his hand.
Gamtinah avahle leuvin changlhah hoiya kakimu ding ham tin aseijuve. Amahon amanthah nadiu nikho anaije ti aheuve.
24 Distress and anguish make him afraid; they prevail against him, as a king ready for the battle.
Muthim nikhon amaho chu akichatsah uvin, galkon dinga kigong lengpa bangin lung gentheina leh lung natna dimset in ahing uve.
25 For he hath stretched out his hand against God, and strengthened himself against the Almighty:
Hatchungnung pa asuhboh uva Pathen akhut u athin khum jeh u chun,
26 He runneth against him, with [outstretched] neck, with the thick bosses of his bucklers;
Alummu hattah chu akichoijun amadou nan isah loutah in anokhum jiuve.
27 For he hath covered his face with his fatness, and gathered fat upon [his] flanks.
Migiloute chu athaovun chule sumle paijin akhangtou cheh cheh un akongu jong athaovin apom doh sah uve.
28 And he dwelleth in desolate cities, in houses that no man inhabiteth, which are destined to become heaps.
Ahinlah akhopi hou hi kisumang thah ding ahin, amaho chu dalhahsa ingemma hung chenguva; sotlhuh ding sa a um cheh ahiuve.
29 He shall not become rich, neither shall his substance continue, and their possessions shall not extend upon the earth.
Ahaosat nau jong sot tapontin, anei agou hou sot ponte; anei agouho jong kolmong geijin hung kikho khong soh taponte.
30 He shall not depart out of darkness; the flame shall dry up his branches; and by the breath of his mouth shall he go away.
Muthim lah a konin jamdoh thei pouvin tin, ajih hung dondoh ho jong nisan halgop intin chule Pathen hu haikhum chun amaho asuhmang ding ahi.
31 Let him not trust in vanity: he is deceived, for vanity shall be his recompense;
Haosatna homkeu tahsanna chun amaho leh amaho kilhem lha sot tapou vintin, amaho dinga akipaman u chu ahomsa hiding ahi.
32 It shall be complete before his day, and his branch shall not be green.
Ahinkhou hoilai tah le thingbah kilhamlha bangin kisat lhauvin tin abah hou jong avellin hung engdoh kit tapou vinte.
33 He shall shake off his unripe grapes as a vine, and shall cast his flower as an olive.
Amaho chu lengpi phung aga matah a kilou lha bangle Olive thingphung aga kisem masanga apah pullha bang diu ahi.
34 For the family of the ungodly shall be barren, and fire shall consume the tents of bribery.
Ijeh inem itile Pathen neiloute chu ahomkeu ahiuvin, nehguh chahguh a haosa ho in chu kavam ding ahi.
35 They conceive mischief, and bring forth iniquity, and their belly prepareth deceit.
Amahon boina naovop bangin avop un chule gitlouna ahing doh jiuve. Anaobu houvin joule nal asodoh uve.
