Hebrews 1
1 God having spoken in many parts and in many ways formerly to the fathers in the prophets,
Après avoir autrefois, à plusieurs reprises et de plusieurs manières, parlé à nos pères par les prophètes,
2 at the end of these days has spoken to us in [the person of the] Son, whom he has established heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds; (aiōn g165)
Dieu, dans la période finale des jours actuels, nous a parlé par le Fils, qu'il a fait héritier de toutes choses, par lequel Il a aussi créé l'univers, (aiōn g165)
3 who being [the] effulgence of his glory and [the] expression of his substance, and upholding all things by the word of his power, having made [by himself] the purification of sins, set himself down on the right hand of the greatness on high,
et qui, étant un rayonnement de Sa gloire et une empreinte de Sa substance, et soutenant toutes choses par la parole de sa puissance, s'est assis, après avoir fait une purification des péchés, à la droite de la Majesté dans les hauts lieux,
4 taking a place by so much better than the angels, as he inherits a name more excellent than they.
étant devenu d'autant supérieur aux anges, qu'il avait hérité un nom plus excellent qu'eux.
5 For to which of the angels said he ever, Thou art my Son: this day have I begotten thee? and again, I will be to him for father, and he shall be to me for son?
Car auquel des anges a-t-Il jamais dit: « Tu es Mon fils, c'est Moi qui t'ai engendré aujourd'hui? » Et derechef: « Moi, Je serai pour lui un père, et lui sera pour Moi un fils? »
6 and again, when he brings in the firstborn into the habitable world, he says, And let all God's angels worship him.
Puis encore, quand Il introduit le premier-né dans le monde, Il dit: « Et que tous les anges de Dieu l'adorent! »
7 And as to the angels he says, Who makes his angels spirits and his ministers a flame of fire;
Et, tandis qu'il dit aux anges: « Celui qui fait de Ses anges des vents et de Ses ministres une flamme de feu, »
8 but as to the Son, Thy throne, O God, [is] to the age of the age, and a sceptre of uprightness [is] the sceptre of thy kingdom. (aiōn g165)
Il dit au contraire au Fils: « Ton trône, ô Dieu, subsiste pour l'éternité; » et: « C'est le sceptre de rectitude que le sceptre de son royaume; (aiōn g165)
9 Thou hast loved righteousness and hast hated lawlessness; therefore God, thy God, has anointed thee with oil of gladness above thy companions.
tu as aimé la justice, et tu as haï l'iniquité; c'est pourquoi, ô Dieu, ton Dieu t'a oint, plus que tes pairs, d'une huile d'allégresse; »
10 And, Thou in the beginning, Lord, hast founded the earth, and works of thy hands are the heavens.
et: « C'est Toi, Seigneur, qui, au commencement, as fondé la terre, et les cieux sont des œuvres de Tes mains;
11 They shall perish, but thou continuest still; and they all shall grow old as a garment,
pour eux ils périront, tandis que Toi, Tu subsistes; et tous ils vieilliront comme un vêtement,
12 and as a covering shalt thou roll them up, and they shall be changed; but thou art the Same, and thy years shall not fail.
et Tu les replieras comme une couverture, comme un vêtement, et ils seront changés; mais Toi, Tu es le même, et Tes années ne finiront point. »
13 But as to which of the angels said he ever, Sit at my right hand until I put thine enemies [as] footstool of thy feet?
Enfin, auquel des anges a-t-Il jamais dit: « Assieds-toi à Ma droite, jusques à ce que J'aie fait de tes ennemis un marchepied pour tes pieds? »
14 Are they not all ministering spirits, sent out for service on account of those who shall inherit salvation?
Est-ce qu'ils ne sont pas tous des esprits au service de Dieu, chargés de remplir un ministère pour ceux qui doivent hériter du salut?
