Genesis 5

1 This is the book of Adam's generations. In the day that God created man, in the likeness of God made he him.

ஆதாமின் வம்சவரலாறு இதுவே: இறைவன் மனிதரைப் படைத்தபோது, அவனை இறைவனின் சாயலிலேயே உண்டாக்கினார்.

2 Male and female created he them; and blessed them, and called their name Adam, in the day when they were created.

அவர் அவர்களை ஆணும் பெண்ணுமாகப் படைத்து, அவர்களை ஆசீர்வதித்தார். அவர் அவர்களைப் படைத்தபோது அவர்களை, “மனிதர்” என்று அழைத்தார்.

3 And Adam lived a hundred and thirty years, and begot [a son] in his likeness, after his image, and called his name Seth.

ஆதாம் 130 வருடங்கள் வாழ்ந்தபின், ஆதாமுக்கு தன்னுடைய சாயலிலும், தன்னுடைய உருவிலும் ஒரு மகன் பிறந்தான்; அவனுக்கு “சேத்” என்று பெயரிட்டான்.

4 And the days of Adam after he had begotten Seth were eight hundred years; and he begot sons and daughters.

சேத் பிறந்தபின் ஆதாம் 800 வருடங்கள் வாழ்ந்து, இன்னும் பல மகன்களையும் மகள்களையும் பெற்றான்.

5 And all the days of Adam that he lived were nine hundred and thirty years; and he died.

ஆதாம் மொத்தம் 930 வருடங்கள் வாழ்ந்தபின் இறந்தான்.

6 And Seth lived a hundred and five years, and begot Enosh.

சேத் தனது 105 வயதில் ஏனோஸுக்குத் தகப்பனானான்.

7 And Seth lived after he had begotten Enosh eight hundred and seven years, and begot sons and daughters.

சேத் ஏனோஸைப் பெற்றபின் 807 வருடங்கள் வாழ்ந்து இன்னும் பல மகன்களையும் மகள்களையும் பெற்றான்.

8 And all the days of Seth were nine hundred and twelve years; and he died.

சேத் மொத்தம் 912 வருடங்கள் வாழ்ந்தபின் இறந்தான்.

9 And Enosh lived ninety years, and begot Cainan.

ஏனோஸ் தனது 90 வயதில் கேனானுக்குத் தகப்பனானான்.

10 And Enosh lived after he had begotten Cainan eight hundred and fifteen years, and begot sons and daughters.

கேனான் பிறந்த பிறகு ஏனோஸ் 815 வருடங்கள் வாழ்ந்து, இன்னும் பல மகன்களையும் மகள்களையும் பெற்றான்.

11 And all the days of Enosh were nine hundred and five years; and he died.

ஏனோஸ் மொத்தம் 905 வருடங்கள் வாழ்ந்தபின் இறந்தான்.

12 And Cainan lived seventy years, and begot Mahalaleel.

கேனான் தனது 70 வயதில் மகலாலெயேலுக்குத் தகப்பனானான்.

13 And Cainan lived after he had begotten Mahalaleel eight hundred and forty years, and begot sons and daughters.

மகலாலெயேல் பிறந்த பிறகு, கேனான் 840 வருடங்கள் வாழ்ந்து, இன்னும் பல மகன்களையும் மகள்களையும் பெற்றான்.

14 And all the days of Cainan were nine hundred and ten years; and he died.

கேனான் மொத்தம் 910 வருடங்கள் வாழ்ந்தபின் இறந்தான்.

15 And Mahalaleel lived sixty-five years, and begot Jared.

மகலாலெயேல் தனது 65 வயதில் யாரேத்திற்குத் தகப்பனானான்.

16 And Mahalaleel lived after he had begotten Jared eight hundred and thirty years, and begot sons and daughters.

யாரேத் பிறந்த பிறகு மகலாலெயேல் 830 வருடங்கள் வாழ்ந்து, இன்னும் பல மகன்களையும் மகள்களையும் பெற்றான்.

17 And all the days of Mahalaleel were eight hundred and ninety-five years; and he died.

மகலாலெயேல் மொத்தம் 895 வருடங்கள் வாழ்ந்தபின் இறந்தான்.

18 And Jared lived a hundred and sixty-two years, and begot Enoch.

யாரேத் தனது 162 வயதில் ஏனோக்குக்குத் தகப்பனானான்.

19 And Jared lived after he had begotten Enoch eight hundred years, and begot sons and daughters.

ஏனோக்கு பிறந்த பிறகு யாரேத் 800 வருடங்கள் வாழ்ந்து, இன்னும் பல மகன்களையும் மகள்களையும் பெற்றான்.

20 And all the days of Jared were nine hundred and sixty-two years; and he died.

யாரேத் மொத்தம் 962 வருடங்கள் வாழ்ந்தபின் இறந்தான்.

21 And Enoch lived sixty-five years, and begot Methushelah.

ஏனோக்கு தனது 65 வயதில் மெத்தூசலாவுக்குத் தகப்பனானான்.

22 And Enoch walked with God after he had begotten Methushelah three hundred years, and begot sons and daughters.

மெத்தூசலா பிறந்த பிறகு ஏனோக்கு 300 வருடங்கள் இறைவனுடன் நெருங்கிய உறவுடன் அர்ப்பணிப்போடு வாழ்ந்தான். அவன் இன்னும் பல மகன்களையும் மகள்களையும் பெற்றான்.

23 And all the days of Enoch were three hundred and sixty-five years.

ஏனோக்கு மொத்தம் 365 வருடங்கள் வாழ்ந்தான்.

24 And Enoch walked with God; and he was not, for God took him.

ஏனோக்கு இறைவனுடன் நெருங்கிய உறவுடன் அர்ப்பணிப்போடு வாழ்ந்தான்; இறைவன் அவனை எடுத்துக்கொண்டதனால், அதன்பின் அவன் காணப்படவில்லை.

25 And Methushelah lived a hundred and eighty-seven years, and begot Lemech.

மெத்தூசலா தனது 187 வயதில் லாமேக்குக்குத் தகப்பனானான்.

26 And Methushelah lived after he had begotten Lemech seven hundred and eighty-two years, and begot sons and daughters.

லாமேக்கு பிறந்த பிறகு மெத்தூசலா 782 வருடங்கள் வாழ்ந்து, இன்னும் பல மகன்களையும் மகள்களையும் பெற்றான்.

27 And all the days of Methushelah were nine hundred and sixty-nine years; and he died.

மெத்தூசலா மொத்தம் 969 வருடங்கள் வாழ்ந்தபின் இறந்தான்.

28 And Lemech lived a hundred and eighty-two years, and begot a son.

லாமேக்கு தனது 182 வயதில் ஒரு மகனுக்குத் தகப்பனானான்.

29 And he called his name Noah, saying, This [one] shall comfort us concerning our work and concerning the toil of our hands, because of the ground which Jehovah has cursed.

அவன், “யெகோவா சபித்த நிலத்தில் நாம் பாடுபட்டு உழைக்கும்போது, இவன் நமக்கு ஆறுதலாயிருப்பான்” என்று சொல்லி, அவனுக்கு நோவா என்று பெயரிட்டான்.

30 And Lemech lived after he had begotten Noah five hundred and ninety-five years, and begot sons and daughters.

நோவா பிறந்த பிறகு, லாமேக்கு 595 வருடங்கள் வாழ்ந்து, இன்னும் பல மகன்களையும் மகள்களையும் பெற்றான்.

31 And all the days of Lemech were seven hundred and seventy-seven years; and he died.

லாமேக்கு மொத்தம் 777 வருடங்கள் வாழ்ந்தபின் இறந்தான்.

32 And Noah was five hundred years old, and Noah begot Shem, Ham, and Japheth.

நோவாவுக்கு 500 வயதான பின்பு சேம், காம், யாப்பேத் என்னும் மகன்களுக்குத் தகப்பனானான்.
