< Galatians 4 >

1 Now I say, As long as the heir is a child, he differs nothing from a bondman, though he be lord of all;
Lino ncendambanga nici, mwana welela kupyana buboni bwa baishi acibanga kanike, nkapusanapo ne musha sobwe, necikabeti buboni bonse nibwakendi.
2 but he is under guardians and stewards until the period fixed by the father.
Mwana uyo welela kunyumfwila abo balamulelenga, ne balalamanga buboni bwakendi kushikila ku cindico baishi ncobalabamba.
3 So we also, when we were children, were held in bondage under the principles of the world;
Nicimo cimo nenjafwe twalikuba basha ba mishimu ikute kwendelesha cishi conse, katutana tushimpa mu mushimu.
4 but when the fulness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son, come of woman, come under law,
Nsombi cindi mpocalakwana, Lesa walatuma Mwanendi. Mwanoyo walasemwa kuli mutukashi, Walekala ne buyumi bwa kunyumfwila Milawo ya Mose,
5 that he might redeem those under law, that we might receive sonship.
kwambeti alubule bantu abo balikuba basha ku Milawo, kwambeti tusanduke kuba bana ba Lesa.
6 But because ye are sons, God has sent out the Spirit of his Son into our hearts, crying, Abba, Father.
Pakuyanda kumulesheti njamwe bana ba Lesa, walatutumina Mushimu wa Mwanendi kwisa mumyoyo yetu, neco mushimuyo ukute kubilikisheti, “Abba! Ta!”
7 So thou art no longer bondman, but son; but if son, heir also through God.
Neco lino nkocilipo musha sobwe, nsombi mwana. Lino pakwinga njobe Mwanendi, Lesa nakape buboni bwakendi ubo mbwalabambila bana bakendi.
8 But then indeed, not knowing God, ye were in bondage to those who by nature are not gods;
Mumasuba akunyuma, nkamwalikwinshiba Lesa, weco mwalikuba basha ba tumbwanga twabula kuba Lesa.
9 but now, knowing God, but rather being known by God, how do ye turn again to the weak and beggarly principles to which ye desire to be again anew in bondage?
Lino mumwinshi Lesa, nambi ng'amboweti Lesa eumwinshi. Nomba nicani mulabwelelenga ku tumishimu tuledeleshenga cishi conse twabula ngofu nambi ncito? Nicani muciyanda kuba basha bato kayi?
10 Ye observe days and months and times and years.
Mukute kubikila mano kukusunga masuba, myenshi, cindi ne byaka.
11 I am afraid of you, lest indeed I have laboured in vain as to you.
Nkute buyowa bwakwambeti mulimo ngondalamusebensela ngoba wabulyo.
12 Be as I [am], for I also [am] as ye, brethren, I beseech you: ye have not at all wronged me.
Ndamusengenga mobanse bame kwambeti mube mbuli njame, pakwinga ame ndilyeti amwe. Muliyawa kunjishila cintu caipa sobwe.
13 But ye know that in weakness of the flesh I announced the glad tidings to you at the first;
Mbuli ncomwinshi, pacindi mpondalatatika kumukambaukila Mulumbe Waina, ndalikuba mulwashi.
14 and my temptation, which [was] in my flesh, ye did not slight nor reject with contempt; but ye received me as an angel of God, as Christ Jesus.
Necikabeti malwashi ayo alikubeti kweleshewa kwenu, nsombi nkamwalankana nambi kunsebanya. Neco mwalantambuleti ncomwela kwinshila mungelo lafumu kwilu. Mwalantambuleti ncomwela kutambula Yesu Klistu.
15 What then [was] your blessedness? for I bear you witness that, if possible, plucking out your own eyes ye would have given [them] to me.
Mwalikuba mwakondwa! Nomba nicani cilenshiki? Inga njinshila bukamboni kwambeti ne calicikonsheka ne mwalakolobola nanshi menso enu nekumpa.
16 So I have become your enemy in speaking the truth to you?
Sena lino ndaba mulwani wenu pakumwambila cakubinga?
17 They are not rightly zealous after you, but desire to shut you out [from us], that ye may be zealous after them.
Bantu nabambi balaleshenga kumusuna pakumunyamfwilisha, nomba miyeyo yabo nkayaina sobwe. Ncebalayandangowa nikumupansanya nenjame, kwambeti nenjamwe mubasune mbuli ncobamusuni.
18 But [it is] right to be zealous at all times in what is right, and not only when I am present with you —
Caina kuba nempapa na miyeyo niya bintu byaina masuba onse, kutambowa pacindi mpondi nenjamwe.
19 my children, of whom I again travail in birth until Christ shall have been formed in you:
Mobana bame, ndilyeti mutukashi lanyumfunga kubaba pakutumbuka, nenjame ndanyumfunga kubaba pacebo canjamwe kushikila mu bwikalo bwa Klistu bwikalikane mulinjamwe.
20 and I should wish to be present with you now, and change my voice, for I am perplexed as to you.
Nendalakondwa kuba nenjamwe pacindici mpani nendalashinta maswi akame, pakwinga mulampwishi mano.
21 Tell me, ye who are desirous of being under law, do ye not listen to the law?
Amwe omulandanga kuba basha ba Milawo, kamung'ambila. Sena nkamulanyumfwishishinga Milawo ncoilambanga?
22 For it is written that Abraham had two sons; one of the maid servant, and one of the free woman.
Mabala alambangeti, Abulahamu walikuba ne bana batuloba babili, umo walasemwa kumutukashi musha, naumbi walasemwa kumutukashi wasunguluka.
23 But he [that was] of the maid servant was born according to flesh, and he [that was] of the free woman through the promise.
Uyo mwana wa mutukashi musha walasemwa mbuli bana bonse ncobakute kusemwa. Nsombi mwana naumbi usa wa mutukasahi wasunguluka walasemwa pacebo ca cishomesho ca Lesa.
24 Which things have an allegorical sense; for these are two covenants: one from mount Sinai, gendering to bondage, which is Hagar.
Lino ibi bintu bili mbulyeti mukoshano. Batukashi babili basa balemanininga bipangano bibili. Mutukashi shikusema bana basha ni Haga uyo lemanininga cipangano ca pa mulundu wa Sinai.
25 For Hagar is mount Sinai in Arabia, and corresponds to Jerusalem which [is] now, for she is in bondage with her children;
Hagala lemanininga mulundu wa Sinai wa kucishi ca Alabiya, ulakoshananga ne Yelusalemu wa masuba ano, uli mubusha pamo ne bantu bakendi.
26 but the Jerusalem above is free, which is our mother.
Nsombi Yelusalemu wakwilu wasunguluka kayi ebamanyetu.
27 For it is written, Rejoice, thou barren that bearest not; break out and cry, thou that travailest not; because the children of the desolate are more numerous than [those] of her that has a husband.
Pakwinga Mabala akute kwambeti, “Kondwa obe omutukashi utaseme, imbila ngululu, olobesha mwakukondwa, obe owalabula kunyumfwapo kubaba pakutumbuka. Bana ba mutukashi wasulwa ni bangi kupita bana ba mutukashi ukute mulume.”
28 But ye, brethren, after the pattern of Isaac, are children of promise.
Lino amwe mobanse, njamwe bana ba Lesa pacebo ca cishomesho cakendi mbuli cisa calenshika kuli Isaki.
29 But as then he that was born according to flesh persecuted him [that was born] according to Spirit, so also [it is] now.
Pacindi copeleco mwana uyo walasemwa mbuli ncebakute kusemwa bantu bonse walikupensha naumbi usa walasemwa mu ngofu ya Mushimu wa Lesa, kayi nicimo cimo ne masuba ano.
30 But what says the scripture? Cast out the maid servant and her son; for the son of the maid servant shall not inherit with the son of the free woman.
Nomba Mabala alambangeconi? Alambangeti, “mutandanyeni mutukashi musha uyu pamo ne mwanendi. Mwana wa mutukashi musha nkela kupyana buboni bwa baishi, pamo ne mwana wa mutukashi wasunguluka sobwe.”
31 So then, brethren, we are not maid servant's children, but [children] of the free woman.
Neco mobanse bame, ntafwe bana ba mutukashi musha, nsombi njafwe bana ba mutukashi wasunguluka.
