Ephesians 6
1 Children, obey your parents in [the] Lord, for this is just.
Ihr Kinder, gehorcht euren Eltern in dem Herrn; denn das ist gerecht.
2 Honour thy father and thy mother, which is the first commandment with a promise,
Ehre Vater und Mutter! Das ist das erste Gebot mit der Verheißung:
3 that it may be well with thee, and that thou mayest be long-lived on the earth.
Auf daß dir es wohlergehe und du lange lebest auf Erden.
4 And [ye] fathers, do not provoke your children to anger, but bring them up in [the] discipline and admonition of [the] Lord.
Und ihr Väter, reizt eure Kinder nicht zum Zorn, sondern erzieht sie in Zucht und Zurechtweisung des Herrn.
5 Bondmen, obey masters according to flesh, with fear and trembling, in simplicity of your heart as to the Christ;
Ihr Knechte, gehorcht mit Furcht und Zittern in Einfalt eures Herzens den leiblichen Herren, als Christus.
6 not with eye-service as men-pleasers; but as bondmen of Christ, doing the will of God from [the] soul,
Nicht mit Augendienerei, um Menschen zu gefallen, sondern als Christus Knechte, indem ihr den Willen Gottes tut von Herzen;
7 serving with good will as to the Lord, and not to men;
Indem ihr gutwillig dient, als dem Herrn und nicht den Menschen.
8 knowing that whatever good each shall do, this he shall receive of [the] Lord, whether bond or free.
Denn ihr wißt ja, was ein jeder Gutes tut, das wird er vom Herrn empfangen, er sei ein Knecht oder ein Freier.
9 And, masters, do the same things towards them, giving up threatening, knowing that both their and your Master is in heaven, and there is no acceptance of persons with him.
Und ihr Herren, tut das gleiche gegen sie, und unterlaßt das Drohen, und seid eingedenk, daß ihr und euer Herr im Himmel ist, und bei Ihm kein Ansehen der Person ist.
10 For the rest, brethren, be strong in [the] Lord, and in the might of his strength.
Zuletzt, Brüder, erstarket im Herrn vermöge Seiner Kraft.
11 Put on the panoply of God, that ye may be able to stand against the artifices of the devil:
Ziehet die Rüstung Gottes an, auf daß ihr bestehen könnt gegen die listigen Anläufe des Teufels.
12 because our struggle is not against blood and flesh, but against principalities, against authorities, against the universal lords of this darkness, against spiritual [power] of wickedness in the heavenlies. (aiōn g165)
Denn wir haben nicht mit Fleisch und Blut zu kämpfen, sondern mit den Mächten, mit den Gewalten, mit den Herren der Welt, die in der Finsternis dieser Welt herrschen, mit den bösen Geistern unter dem Himmel. (aiōn g165)
13 For this reason take [to you] the panoply of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and, having accomplished all things, to stand.
Um deswillen greifet zur Rüstung Gottes, auf daß ihr am bösen Tage widerstehen und alles wohl ausrichten und das Feld behaupten möget.
14 Stand therefore, having girt about your loins with truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness,
So steht nun und habt eure Lenden umgürtet mit Wahrheit, und angetan mit dem Panzer der Gerechtigkeit;
15 and shod your feet with [the] preparation of the glad tidings of peace:
Und eure Füße besohlt in Bereitschaft für das Evangelium des Friedens.
16 besides all [these], having taken the shield of faith with which ye will be able to quench all the inflamed darts of the wicked one.
Gegen alles ergreift den Schild des Glaubens, mit dem ihr alle feurigen Pfeile des Teufels auslöschen könnt;
17 Have also the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is God's word;
Und nehmt den Helm des Heils und das Schwert des Geistes, welches ist das Wort Gottes.
18 praying at all seasons, with all prayer and supplication in [the] Spirit, and watching unto this very thing with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints;
Und mit allem Flehen und Bitten betet in allem Anliegen im Geiste und bleibt zu dem Ende wach und fleht anhaltend für alle Heiligen,
19 and for me in order that utterance may be given to me in [the] opening of my mouth to make known with boldness the mystery of the glad tidings,
Auch für mich, daß mir Rede verliehen werde beim Auftun meines Mundes, mit Freimut das Geheimnis des Evangeliums kundzutun,
20 for which I am an ambassador [bound] with a chain, that I may be bold in it as I ought to speak.
Für das ich die Botschaft überbringe in Ketten, auf daß ich es freimütig verkündige, wie sich es für mich gebührt;
21 But in order that ye also may know what concerns me, how I am getting on, Tychicus, the beloved brother and faithful minister in [the] Lord, shall make all things known to you;
Auf daß aber auch ihr wisset, wie es um mich steht, und was ich schaffe, wird euch alles berichten Tychikus, der geliebte Bruder und treue Diener im Herrn,
22 whom I have sent to you for this very thing, that ye may know of our affairs and that he may encourage your hearts.
Den ich eben deshalb an euch abgesendet habe, daß ihr erfahret, wie es um uns steht, und daß er eure Herzen tröste.
23 Peace to the brethren, and love with faith, from God [the] Father and [the] Lord Jesus Christ.
Friede den Brüdern und Liebe mit Glauben von Gott dem Vater und unserem Herrn Jesus Christus!
24 Grace with all them that love our Lord Jesus Christ in incorruption.
Die Gnade sei mit allen, die unseren Herrn Jesus Christus lieben unwandelbar! Amen.
