< Ephesians 6 >

1 Children, obey your parents in [the] Lord, for this is just.
Nawktanawk, Angraeng ah nam no hoi nam pa ih lok to tahngai oh: amno ampa lok tahngaihaih loe katoeng hmuen ah oh.
2 Honour thy father and thy mother, which is the first commandment with a promise,
Nam no hoi nam pa to saiqat ah; hae loe lokkamhaih hmaloe koekah oh;
3 that it may be well with thee, and that thou mayest be long-lived on the earth.
to tiah na sak nahaeloe khosak na hoih ueloe, long nuiah na hinglung sawk tih.
4 And [ye] fathers, do not provoke your children to anger, but bring them up in [the] discipline and admonition of [the] Lord.
Ampanawk, na caanawk palungphui han sah hmah: Angraeng ah thuitaekhaih hoi patukhaih bangah qoeng o sak ah.
5 Bondmen, obey masters according to flesh, with fear and trembling, in simplicity of your heart as to the Christ;
Tamnanawk, Kri ih lok na tahngaih o baktih toengah, poekhaih amkhraeng ai ah, zithaih hoi tasoehhaih hoiah taksa ah na angraeng ih lok to tahngai oh;
6 not with eye-service as men-pleasers; but as bondmen of Christ, doing the will of God from [the] soul,
minawk palung tongh hanah, minawk mikhnuk ah khue sah o hmah; Kri ih tamna ah na oh o baktih toengah, Sithaw koehhaih to palung thung hoiah sah oh;
7 serving with good will as to the Lord, and not to men;
kami ih toksak baktiah poek ai ah, Angraeng ih toksak baktiah, palung tang hoiah toksah oh:
8 knowing that whatever good each shall do, this he shall receive of [the] Lord, whether bond or free.
tamna maw tamna ai, kami boih mah a sak o ih kahoih hmuen baktih toengah, Angraeng khae hoiah tangqum to hnu o tih, tito panoek oh.
9 And, masters, do the same things towards them, giving up threatening, knowing that both their and your Master is in heaven, and there is no acceptance of persons with him.
Angraengnawk, na tamnanawk khaeah to tiah sah oh, nangcae ih angraeng doeh van ah oh, tiah panoek oh loe, tamnanawk to pazih o hmah: Anih loe kami mikhmai khethaih tawn ai.
10 For the rest, brethren, be strong in [the] Lord, and in the might of his strength.
Nawkamyanawk, hnukhuem koekah loe anih thacakhaih hoiah Angraeng ah thacak o sak ah.
11 Put on the panoply of God, that ye may be able to stand against the artifices of the devil:
Setan zoekhaih na pakaa o thai hanah, Sithaw ih aphawnawk to angkhuk oh,
12 because our struggle is not against blood and flesh, but against principalities, against authorities, against the universal lords of this darkness, against spiritual [power] of wickedness in the heavenlies. (aiōn g165)
aicae loe taksa hoi athii kaom misa to a tuh o ai, sakthaihaih akaa katawn, ukkungnawk, hae long vinghaih ukkungnawk hoi kasang ahmuen ah kaom kasae muithlanawk ni a tuk o. (aiōn g165)
13 For this reason take [to you] the panoply of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and, having accomplished all things, to stand.
To pongah Sithaw ih aphaw to angkhuk oh, to tiah ni kahoih ai ni angzoh naah na pakaa o thai ueloe, misa tuk pazawk boih karoek to nang doe o thai tih.
14 Stand therefore, having girt about your loins with truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness,
To pongah loktang to kaengkaeh ah angzaeng oh loe, toenghaih to saoek padaphaih ah angkhuk oh;
15 and shod your feet with [the] preparation of the glad tidings of peace:
taphong han paroep ih angdaehhaih tamthanglok hoih to khokpanai bum ah abuen oh,
16 besides all [these], having taken the shield of faith with which ye will be able to quench all the inflamed darts of the wicked one.
to hmuennawk boih pacoengah, pakaahaih ah kaom tanghaih to angkhuk oh, to tiah ni taqawk mah kah ih hmai kamngaeh palaanawk to na paduek o thai boih tih.
17 Have also the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is God's word;
Pahlonghaih sum lumuek hoi Muithla sumsen ah kaom, Sithaw lok to angnaengh oh.
18 praying at all seasons, with all prayer and supplication in [the] Spirit, and watching unto this very thing with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints;
Lawkthuih hoi hnikhaih, lawkthuihaih congca hoiah Muithla ah lawkthui o toepsoep ah; lawkthuih thazok ai ah, kaciim kaminawk boih hanah lawk to thui oh.
19 and for me in order that utterance may be given to me in [the] opening of my mouth to make known with boldness the mystery of the glad tidings,
Tamthanglok hoih taphonghaih kai khaeah ang paek baktih toengah, misahoihaih hoiah pakha angh moe, kathuk tamthanglok hoih to ka thuih thai hanah, kai han doeh lawk na thui pae o toeng ah.
20 for which I am an ambassador [bound] with a chain, that I may be bold in it as I ought to speak.
Ka thuih han koi lok to, misahoihaih hoiah ka thuih han ih ni, kai loe sumqui hoi pathlet ih laicaeh ah ka oh.
21 But in order that ye also may know what concerns me, how I am getting on, Tychicus, the beloved brother and faithful minister in [the] Lord, shall make all things known to you;
Kai loe kawbangmaw ka oh, timaw ka sak, tito na panoek o hanah, Angraeng ah oep kathok toksah kamnawk, Tukika mah, hmuennawk boih na thui o tih:
22 whom I have sent to you for this very thing, that ye may know of our affairs and that he may encourage your hearts.
kaicae khosakhaihnawk na panoek o moe, nangcae pathloep thai hanah, anih to kang patoeh.
23 Peace to the brethren, and love with faith, from God [the] Father and [the] Lord Jesus Christ.
Angraeng Jesu Kri hoi Ampa Sithaw khae ih monghaih, tanghaih hoi amlunghaih to nawkamyanawk khaeah om nasoe.
24 Grace with all them that love our Lord Jesus Christ in incorruption.
Aicae Angraeng Jesu kri palunghaih tawn tangtang kaminawk boih khaeah tahmenhaih om nasoe. Amen.
