Ephesians 2
1 and you, being dead in your offences and sins —
Você foi vivificado quando estava morto em transgressões e pecados,
2 in which ye once walked according to the age of this world, according to the ruler of the authority of the air, the spirit who now works in the sons of disobedience: (aiōn g165)
no qual uma vez caminhou de acordo com o curso deste mundo, segundo o príncipe do poder do ar, o espírito que agora trabalha nos filhos da desobediência. (aiōn g165)
3 among whom we also all once had our conversation in the lusts of our flesh, doing what the flesh and the thoughts willed to do, and were children, by nature, of wrath, even as the rest:
Todos nós também já vivemos entre eles nas luxúrias de nossa carne, fazendo os desejos da carne e da mente, e éramos por natureza filhos da ira, assim como os demais.
4 but God, being rich in mercy, because of his great love wherewith he loved us,
Mas Deus, sendo rico em misericórdia, por seu grande amor com o qual nos amou,
5 (we too being dead in offences, ) has quickened us with the Christ, (ye are saved by grace, )
mesmo quando estávamos mortos por nossas ofensas, nos fez vivos juntamente com Cristo - pela graça que nos salvou -
6 and has raised [us] up together, and has made [us] sit down together in the heavenlies in Christ Jesus,
e nos ressuscitou com ele, e nos fez sentar com ele nos lugares celestiais em Cristo Jesus,
7 that he might display in the coming ages the surpassing riches of his grace in kindness towards us in Christ Jesus. (aiōn g165)
para que nos séculos vindouros ele pudesse mostrar as riquezas excedentes de sua graça em bondade para conosco em Cristo Jesus; (aiōn g165)
8 For ye are saved by grace, through faith; and this not of yourselves; it is God's gift:
porque pela graça fostes salvos pela fé, e não por vós mesmos; é o dom de Deus,
9 not on the principle of works, that no one might boast.
não de obras, que ninguém se vangloriava.
10 For we are his workmanship, having been created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God has before prepared that we should walk in them.
Pois somos sua obra, criada em Cristo Jesus para as boas obras, que Deus preparou antes de nós para que andássemos nelas.
11 Wherefore remember that ye, once nations in [the] flesh, who [are] called uncircumcision by that called circumcision in [the] flesh done with the hand;
Portanto, lembrem-se que uma vez vocês, os gentios na carne, que são chamados de “incircuncisão” por aquilo que é chamado de “circuncisão” (na carne, feita por mãos),
12 that ye were at that time without Christ, aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers to the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without God in the world:
que vocês estavam naquele tempo separados de Cristo, alienados da comunidade de Israel, e estranhos das alianças da promessa, não tendo esperança e sem Deus no mundo.
13 but now in Christ Jesus ye who once were afar off are become nigh by the blood of the Christ.
Mas agora, em Cristo Jesus, vós que outrora estáveis longe, vos fazeis próximos no sangue de Cristo.
14 For he is our peace, who has made both one, and has broken down the middle wall of enclosure,
Pois ele é nossa paz, que fez ambos um, e derrubou o muro do meio da separação,
15 having annulled the enmity in his flesh, the law of commandments in ordinances, that he might form the two in himself into one new man, making peace;
tendo abolido em sua carne a hostilidade, a lei dos mandamentos contidos nas ordenanças, para que pudesse criar em si mesmo um novo homem dos dois, fazendo a paz,
16 and might reconcile both in one body to God by the cross, having by it slain the enmity;
e pudesse reconciliar ambos em um só corpo com Deus através da cruz, tendo matado a hostilidade através dela.
17 and, coming, he has preached the glad tidings of peace to you who [were] afar off, and [the glad tidings of] peace to those [who were] nigh.
Ele veio e pregou a paz para vocês que estavam longe e para aqueles que estavam perto.
18 For through him we have both access by one Spirit to the Father.
Pois através dele ambos temos nosso acesso em um só Espírito ao Pai.
19 So then ye are no longer strangers and foreigners, but ye are fellow-citizens of the saints, and of the household of God,
Portanto, não sois mais estrangeiros e estrangeiros, mas sois concidadãos dos santos e da casa de Deus,
20 being built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the corner-stone,
sendo construído sobre o fundamento dos apóstolos e profetas, sendo o próprio Cristo Jesus a principal pedra angular;
21 in whom all [the] building fitted together increases to a holy temple in the Lord;
no qual todo o edifício, encaixado, cresce para um templo santo no Senhor;
22 in whom ye also are built together for a habitation of God in [the] Spirit.
no qual também sois edificados juntos para uma morada de Deus no Espírito.
