Colossians 4
1 Masters, give to bondmen what is just and fair, knowing that ye also have a Master in [the] heavens.
Ihr Herrn, gebet den Knechten, was recht und billig ist, im Gedanken, daß auch ihr einen Herrn habt im Himmel.
2 Persevere in prayer, watching in it with thanksgiving;
Haltet an am Gebet, wachet darin in Danksagung;
3 praying at the same time for us also, that God may open to us a door of the word to speak the mystery of Christ, on account of which also I am bound,
betend zugleich auch für uns, daß uns Gott möge eine Thüre des Wortes öffnen, zu verkünden das Geheimnis des Christus, um dessentwillen ich auch gefesselt bin,
4 to the end that I may make it manifest as I ought to speak.
damit ich es kund thun könne, so wie es meine Pficht ist zu reden.
5 Walk in wisdom towards those without, redeeming opportunities.
Verkehrt in Weisheit mit denen draußen, den Augenblick auskaufend.
6 [Let] your word [be] always with grace, seasoned with salt, [so as] to know how ye ought to answer each one.
Eure Rede sei allezeit lieblich, mit Salz gewürzt, daß ihr wisset, wie ihr einem jeden antworten sollt.
7 Tychicus, the beloved brother and faithful minister and fellow-bondman in [the] Lord, will make known to you all that concerns me;
Wie es mir geht, wird euch alles berichten Tychikus, der treue Bruder und treue Gehilfe und Mitknecht des Herrn,
8 whom I have sent to you for this very purpose, that he might know your state, and that he might encourage your hearts:
den ich eben dazu zu euch geschickt habe, daß ihr vernehmet, wie es bei uns steht, und er eure Herzen stärke,
9 with Onesimus, the faithful and beloved brother, who is [one] of you. They shall make known to you everything here.
samt Onesimus dem treuen, teuren Bruder, der von euch ist; sie werden euch über alle hiesigen Dinge unterrichten.
10 Aristarchus my fellow-captive salutes you, and Mark, Barnabas's cousin, concerning whom ye have received orders, (if he come to you, receive him, )
Es grüßt euch Aristarchus, mein Mitgefangener, und Markus der Vetter des Barnabas, über den ihr Aufträge erhalten habt - wenn er zu euch kommt, nehmt ihn gut auf - und Jesus genannt Justus;
11 and Jesus called Justus, who are of the circumcision. These [are the] only fellow-workers for the kingdom of God who have been a consolation to me.
und Jesus genannt Justus; diese sind's allein aus der Beschneidung, die sich als Mitarbeiter halten für das Reich Gottes, sie sind mir zum Troste geworden.
12 Epaphras, who is [one] of you, [the] bondman of Christ Jesus, salutes you, always combating earnestly for you in prayers, to the end that ye may stand perfect and complete in all [the] will of God.
Es grüßt euch Epaphras, der von euch, der Knecht Christus Jesus', der allezeit für euch kämpft im Gebete, daß ihr möget stehen vollkommen und gewiegt in allem Willen Gottes.
13 For I bear him witness that he labours much for you, and them in Laodicea, and them in Hierapolis.
Denn ich bezeuge ihm, daß er es sich hoch angelegen sein läßt um euch, und die in Laodikea und in Hierapolis.
14 Luke, the beloved physician, salutes you, and Demas.
Es grüßt euch Lukas der Arzt, der teure Mann, sowie Demas.
15 Salute the brethren in Laodicea, and Nymphas, and the assembly which [is] in his house.
Grüßet ihr die Brüder in Laodikea und Nymphas und die Gemeinde in seinem Haus.
16 And when the letter has been read among you, cause that it be read also in the assembly of Laodiceans, and that ye also read that from Laodicea.
Und wenn bei euch der Brief gelesen ist, so schaffet, daß er auch in der Gemeinde von Laodikea gelesen werde, und daß ihr auch den von Laodikea leset.
17 And say to Archippus, Take heed to the ministry which thou hast received in [the] Lord, to the end that thou fulfil it.
Und saget dem Archippus: achte auf den Dienst, den du im Herrn empfangen hast, daß du ihn erfüllest.
18 The salutation by the hand of me Paul. Remember my bonds. Grace [be] with you.
Hier mein des Paulus eigenhändiger Gruß. Gedenket an meine Fesseln. Die Gnade mit euch.
