< Acts 6 >

1 But in those days, the disciples multiplying in number, there arose a murmuring of the Hellenists against the Hebrews because their widows were overlooked in the daily ministration.
Nambeambe katika masoba yee, muda idadi ya anapunzi ibile iyongekeya, lalamiko lya Ayahudi wa Kiyunani liytumbwi dhidi ya Baebrania, kwa sababu bajane babe babile bsahaulika katika mgao wa kila lisoba lya chakulya.
2 And the twelve, having called the multitude of the disciples to [them], said, It is not right that we, leaving the word of God, should serve tables.
Mitume komi ni ibele balikema likusanyiko lyote lya anapunzi na baya, “Ibile kwaa sahihi kwitu kulileka neno lya Nnongo na kuhudumia mezani.
3 Look out therefore, brethren, from among yourselves seven men, well reported of, full of [the] [Holy] Spirit and wisdom, whom we will establish over this business:
Kwa eyo, mwalongo, muchawe, analome saba, boka nkati yinu, bandu banoite, batwelile Roho na hekima, ambao twaweza kubakabidhi huduma yee.
4 but we will give ourselves up to prayer and the ministry of the word.
Na twenga, twatendea daima katika kuloba na katika huduma ya neno.”
5 And the saying pleased the whole multitude: and they chose Stephen, a man full of faith and [the] Holy Spirit, and Philip, and Prochorus, and Nicanor, and Timon, and Parmenas, and Nicolas, a proselyte of Antioch,
Hotuba yabe yatiupendeza mkutano wote. Nga nyo, wakamchawa Stephano, mundu ywatwelile imani na Roho mtakatifu, na Filipo, Prokoro, Nikanori, Timoni, Paemena, na Nikolao, mwangofu boka Antiokia.
6 whom they set before the apostles; and, having prayed, they laid their hands on them.
Baumini batileta bandu aba nnongi ya mitume, baalobya na baadae kuabekya maboko gabe.
7 And the word of God increased; and the number of the disciples in Jerusalem was very greatly multiplied, and a great crowd of the priests obeyed the faith.
Nga nyo neno lya Nnongo lyatienea; na idadi ya anapunzi ilizidi yongekeya kolyo Yerusalemu; na idadi ngolo ya makuhani baiheshimiya imani.
8 And Stephen, full of grace and power, wrought wonders and great signs among the people.
Stephano, ywatwelile neema na ngupu, abile akipanga maajabu na ishara ngolo nkati ya bandu.
9 And there arose up certain of those of the synagogue called of freedmen, and of Cyrenians, and of Alexandrians, and of those of Cilicia and Asia, disputing with Stephen.
Lakini apo bainuka baadhi ya bandu afuasi ba Sinagogi lya Mahuru, na lya Bakirene na lya Baeskanderia, na baadhi boka Kilikia na Asia. Bandu aba babile bakilongela na Stephano.
10 And they were not able to resist the wisdom and the Spirit with which he spoke.
Lakini, baweza kwaa shindana na hekima na Roho ambayo Stephano abile akitumia katika longela.
11 Then they suborned men, saying, We have heard him speaking blasphemous words against Moses and God.
Boka po batiashawishi baadhi ya bandu kwa siri no baya, “Tuyowine Stephano kalongela maneno ga kufuru dhidi ya Musa na dhidi ya Nnongo.
12 And they roused the people, and the elders, and the scribes. And coming upon [him] they seized him and brought [him] to the council.
Batibashuhudia bandu, apindo, na baandishi, na kuyenda kwa Stephano, wantabile na kunneta nnongi ya libaraza
13 And they set false witnesses, saying, This man does not cease speaking words against the holy place and the law;
batibaleta mashahidi ba ubocho, babaya, “mundu yoo akani kuleka longela mabaya dhidi ya eneo lee takatifu na saliya.
14 for we have heard him saying, This Jesus the Nazaraean shall destroy this place, and change the customs which Moses taught us.
Mana tumyowine kabaya panga ayoo Yesu wa Nazareti alowa kuharibu mahali hapa na kuibadili desturi tuliyokabodhiwa na Musa,”
15 And all who sat in the council, looking fixedly on him, saw his face as [the] face of an angel.
Kila yumo ywabile katika libaraza, kaelezea minyo yake kunlolekea Stephano, na bembe baubweni minyo gake ubile kati minyo ga malaika.
