Acts 6

1 But in those days, the disciples multiplying in number, there arose a murmuring of the Hellenists against the Hebrews because their widows were overlooked in the daily ministration.

১সেই সময়ত শিষ্য সকলৰ সংখ্যা দিনে দিনে বৃদ্ধি হৈ আছিল। গ্ৰীকভাষী ইহুদী সকলে স্থানীয় ইব্ৰী ভাষী ইহুদী সকলৰ বিৰুদ্ধে অভিযোগ আনিলে যে, খাদ্য বিতৰণৰ সময়ত প্ৰতিদিনে তেওঁলোকৰ বিধৱা সকলক অৱহেলা কৰা হৈছে।

2 And the twelve, having called the multitude of the disciples to [them], said, It is not right that we, leaving the word of God, should serve tables.

২তেতিয়া বাৰ জন পাঁচনিয়ে সকলো শিষ্যকে মাতি আনি কলে- “আমাৰ কাৰণে ঈশ্বৰৰ বাক্য অৱহেলা কৰি ভোজনৰ পৰিচৰ্যা কৰা কামত লাগি থকা সঠিক কার্য হোৱা নাই।

3 Look out therefore, brethren, from among yourselves seven men, well reported of, full of [the] [Holy] Spirit and wisdom, whom we will establish over this business:

৩এই কাৰণে হে ভাই সকল, আপোনালোকে নিজৰ মাজৰ পৰা সাত জন সুখ্যাতি সম্পন্ন আৰু পবিত্ৰ আত্মাৰে পৰিপূর্ণ, জ্ঞানী লোকক বাছি লওঁক। আমি তেওঁলোকৰ ওপৰত এই কামৰ ভাৰ দিম।

4 but we will give ourselves up to prayer and the ministry of the word.

৪ইয়াৰ পাছত আমি প্ৰাৰ্থনা আৰু ঈশ্বৰৰ বাক্যৰ পৰিচর্যাত সদায় লাগি থাকিব পাৰিম।”

5 And the saying pleased the whole multitude: and they chose Stephen, a man full of faith and [the] Holy Spirit, and Philip, and Prochorus, and Nicanor, and Timon, and Parmenas, and Nicolas, a proselyte of Antioch,

৫তেওঁলোকৰ এই প্রস্তাৱ শুনি সকলোৱে সন্তোষ পালে অাৰু তেওঁলোকে তেতিয়া এই লোক সকলক মনোনীত কৰিলে - স্তিফান, তেওঁ বিশ্বাসী আৰু পবিত্ৰ আত্মাৰে পূর্ণ আছিল; ফিলিপ, প্ৰখৰ, নিকানৰ, তীমোন, পার্মিনা আৰু আন্তিয়খিয়াৰ নিকলায় এই ব্যক্তি জনে ইহুদী ধৰ্ম গ্রহণ কৰিছিল।

6 whom they set before the apostles; and, having prayed, they laid their hands on them.

৬বিশ্বাসী সকলে এই সাত জন লোকক পাঁচনি সকলৰ আগলৈ আনিলে আৰু পাঁচনি সকলে প্ৰাৰ্থনা কৰি তেওঁলোকৰ ওপৰত হাত দিলে।

7 And the word of God increased; and the number of the disciples in Jerusalem was very greatly multiplied, and a great crowd of the priests obeyed the faith.

৭তাৰ পাছত ঈশ্বৰৰ বাক্য চৌদিশে বিয়পি গল আৰু শিষ্য সকলৰ সংখ্যা যিৰূচালেমত দ্ৰুতগতিত বৃদ্ধি পাবলৈ ধৰিলে। ইয়াৰ উপৰি ইহুদী পুৰোহিত সকলৰ মাজৰ অনেকে খ্ৰীষ্টীয় বিশ্বাসৰ অনুগামী হৈ শৰণ ললে।

8 And Stephen, full of grace and power, wrought wonders and great signs among the people.

৮স্তিফানে ঈশ্বৰৰ অনুগ্ৰহ আৰু শক্তিৰে পৰিপূর্ণ হৈ লোক সকলৰ মাজত বহু অলৌকিক আৰু আচৰিত কার্য কৰিবলৈ ধৰিলে।

9 And there arose up certain of those of the synagogue called of freedmen, and of Cyrenians, and of Alexandrians, and of those of Cilicia and Asia, disputing with Stephen.

৯কিন্তু লিবর্ত্তীন নামৰ সমাজৰ কেইজনমান ব্যক্তিৰ লগতে কুৰীণীয়, আলেকজেন্দ্রিয়া, কিলিকিয়া আৰু এচিয়া, এই ঠাই সমূহৰ পৰা অহা কিছুমান ব্যক্তিয়ে স্তিফানৰ সৈতে তর্ক কৰিলে।

10 And they were not able to resist the wisdom and the Spirit with which he spoke.

১০কিন্তু স্তিফানে যি জ্ঞান আৰু আত্মাৰে কথা কলে, সেই কথাক তেওঁলোকে প্ৰতিৰোধ কৰিব নোৱাৰিলে।

11 Then they suborned men, saying, We have heard him speaking blasphemous words against Moses and God.

১১তেতিয়া তেওঁলোকে কিছুলোকক গুপুতে উচটাই এই বুলি কবলৈ দিলে যে, “আমি শুনিছোঁ স্তিফানে মোচি আৰু ঈশ্বৰক নিন্দা কৰিছে।”

12 And they roused the people, and the elders, and the scribes. And coming upon [him] they seized him and brought [him] to the council.

১২এনেদৰে তেওঁলোকে জনসাধাৰণ, পৰিচাৰক আৰু বিধানৰ অধ্যাপক সকলক উত্তেজিত কৰি তুলিলে আৰু তেওঁলোকে স্তিফানক ধৰি মহাসভালৈ আনিলে।

13 And they set false witnesses, saying, This man does not cease speaking words against the holy place and the law;

১৩তেওঁলোকে মিছা সাক্ষী দি থিয় কৰালে আৰু ক’লে, “এই মানুহ জনে পবিত্ৰ স্থান আৰু বিধানৰ বিৰুদ্ধে কথা কবলৈ নেৰে।

14 for we have heard him saying, This Jesus the Nazaraean shall destroy this place, and change the customs which Moses taught us.

১৪কিয়নো আমি তেওঁক কোৱা শুনিছো যে, এই নাচৰতীয়া যীচুৱে এই ঠাই নষ্ট কৰিব আৰু মোচিয়ে আমাক দিয়া বিধানও সলনি কৰিব।”

15 And all who sat in the council, looking fixedly on him, saw his face as [the] face of an angel.

১৫তেতিয়া সভাত বহা সকলোৱে তেওঁলৈ একেথৰে চাই থাকিল আৰু স্তিফানৰ মুখ স্বৰ্গৰ দূতৰ মুখৰ নিচিনা দেখিলে।
