Acts 3
1 And Peter and John went up together into the temple at the hour of prayer, [which is] the ninth [hour];
Petrus aber und Johannes gingen zusammen hinauf in den Tempel um die neunte Stunde, da man zu beten pflegte.
2 and a certain man who was lame from his mother's womb was being carried, whom they placed every day at the gate of the temple called Beautiful, to ask alms of those who were going into the temple;
Und es war ein Mann, lahm von Mutterleib, der ließ sich hertragen, und sie setzten ihn täglich vor des Tempels Pforte, die da heißt die schöne, damit er Almosen bettelte von denen, die in den Tempel gingen.
3 who, seeing Peter and John about to enter into the temple, asked to receive alms.
Da dieser nun Petrus und Johannes sah, wie sie eben in den Tempel treten wollten, bat er um ein Almosen.
4 And Peter, looking stedfastly upon him with John, said, Look on us.
Petrus aber sah ihn fest an mit Johannes und sprach: Sieh uns an!
5 And he gave heed to them, expecting to receive something from them.
Er aber schaute auf sie, indem er erwartete, daß er etwas empfinge.
6 But Peter said, Silver and gold I have not; but what I have, this give I to thee: In the name of Jesus Christ the Nazaraean rise up and walk.
Petrus aber sprach: Silber und Gold habe ich nicht; was ich aber habe, das gebe ich dir: Im Namen des Jesus Christus von Nazareth stehe auf und wandle!
7 And having taken hold of him [by] the right hand he raised him up, and immediately his feet and ankle bones were made strong.
Und er griff ihn bei der rechten Hand und richtete ihn auf. Alsbald wurden seine Füße und Knöchel fest.
8 And leaping up he stood and walked, and entered with them into the temple, walking, and leaping, and praising God.
Und er sprang auf, stand und wandelte umher, und trat mit ihnen in den Tempel, wandelte umher und sprang und lobte Gott.
9 And all the people saw him walking and praising God;
Und alles Volk sah ihn umherwandeln und Gott lobpreisen.
10 and they recognised him, that it was he who sat for alms at the Beautiful gate of the temple; and they were filled with wonder and amazement at what had happened to him.
Und sie erkannten ihn, daß er der war, der um Almosen an der schönen Pforte des Tempels saß, und wurden voll Staunens und waren vor Verwunderung außer sich über dem, was sich mit ihm hatte zugetragen.
11 And as he held Peter and John, all the people ran together to them in the portico which is called Solomon's, greatly wondering.
Da sich der Lahme, der nun gesund geworden, zu Petrus und Johannes hielt, lief alles Volk voll Erstaunens nach der Halle, die da heißt Salomohs.
12 And Peter, seeing it, answered the people, Men of Israel, why are ye astonished at this? or why do ye gaze on us as if we had by our own power or piety made him to walk?
Da das Petrus sah, hob er an zum Volke: Ihr Männer von Israel, was verwundert ihr euch über diesen? Oder warum richtet ihr eure Blicke auf uns, als hätten wir durch eigene Kraft und Frömmigkeit bewirkt, daß dieser gehen kann?
13 The God of Abraham and Isaac and Jacob, the God of our fathers, has glorified his servant Jesus, whom ye delivered up, and denied him in the presence of Pilate, when he had judged that he should be let go.
Der Gott Abrahams und Isaaks und Jakobs, der Gott unserer Väter, hat Seinen Sohn Jesus verherrlicht, Welchen ihr habt überantwortet und verleugnet vor dem Angesichte des Pilatus, obschon dieser beschlossen hatte, Denselben freizulassen.
14 But ye denied the holy and righteous one, and asked that a man [that was] a murderer should be granted to you;
Ihr aber verleugnetet den Heiligen und Gerechten, und verlangtet, man solle euch den Mörder freigeben.
15 but the originator of life ye slew, whom God raised from among [the] dead, whereof we are witnesses.
Aber den Fürsten des Lebens habt ihr getötet, Ihn aber hat Gott von den Toten erweckt, dessen wir Zeugen sind.
16 And, by faith in his name, his name has made this [man] strong whom ye behold and know; and the faith which is by him has given him this complete soundness in the presence of you all.
Und um des Glaubens willen an Seinen Namen hat diesen, den ihr seht und kennt, Sein Name gestärkt und der durch ihn bewirkte Glaube ihm vor euer aller Augen die Vollkraft seiner Glieder geschenkt.
17 And now, brethren, I know that ye did it in ignorance, as also your rulers;
Und nun, Brüder, weiß ich, daß ihr es aus Unwissenheit getan habt, sowie auch eure Obern.
18 but God has thus fulfilled what he had announced beforehand by the mouth of all the prophets, that his Christ should suffer.
Gott aber ließ so, was Er durch den Mund aller Seiner Propheten voraus verkündigt hatte, daß Christus müßte leiden, in Erfüllung gehen.
19 Repent therefore and be converted, for the blotting out of your sins, so that times of refreshing may come from [the] presence of the Lord,
So tut nun Buße und bekehrt euch, auf daß eure Sünden ausgetilgt werden.
20 and he may send Jesus Christ, who was foreordained for you,
Auf daß da kommen Zeiten der Erquikkung vor dem Angesicht des Herrn, und daß Er euch den vorher verkündigten Jesus Christus senden wird.
21 whom heaven indeed must receive till [the] times of [the] restoring of all things, of which God has spoken by the mouth of his holy prophets since time began. (aiōn g165)
Welchen indessen der Himmel aufnehmen mußte, bis zu den Zeiten der Wiederbringung aller Dinge, wovon Gott durch den Mund Seiner heiligen Propheten von Anbeginn gesprochen hatte. (aiōn g165)
22 Moses indeed said, A prophet shall [the] Lord your God raise up to you out of your brethren like me: him shall ye hear in everything whatsoever he shall say to you.
Denn Moses hat zu den Vätern gesprochen: Der Herr, euer Gott, wird euch aus euren Brüdern einen Propheten wie mich erwecken. Auf Ihn sollt ihr hören in allem, was Er zu euch reden wird.
23 And it shall be that whatsoever soul shall not hear that prophet shall be destroyed from among the people.
Es wird aber geschehen, daß jegliche Seele, die nicht auf selbigen Propheten hören wird, aus dem Volke ausgerottet wird.
24 And indeed all the prophets from Samuel and those in succession after [him], as many as have spoken, have announced also these days.
Und alle Propheten von Samuel an und hernach, soviel deren geredet, haben auch diese Tage voraus verkündigt.
25 Ye are the sons of the prophets and of the covenant which God appointed to our fathers, saying to Abraham, And in thy seed shall all the families of the earth be blessed.
Ihr seid die Söhne der Propheten und des Bundes, den Gott mit unseren Vätern geschlossen hat, da Er zu Abraham sprach: Durch deinen Samen sollen alle Geschlechter der Erde gesegnet werden.
26 To you first God, having raised up his servant, has sent him, blessing you in turning each one [of you] from your wickedness.
Euch zuvörderst hat Gott Seinen Sohn erweckt und gesandt, euch zu segnen, so ein jeglicher umkehrt von seinen Übeltaten.
