2 Timothy 3
1 But this know, that in [the] last days difficult times shall be there;
Esto empero sabe, que en los postreros días, vendrán tiempos trabajosos.
2 for men shall be lovers of self, lovers of money, boastful, arrogant, evil speakers, disobedient to parents, ungrateful, profane,
Porque habrá hombres amadores de sí mismos, avaros, jactanciosos, soberbios, blasfemos, desobedientes a sus padres, ingratos, impuros,
3 without natural affection, implacable, slanderers, of unsubdued passions, savage, having no love for what is good,
Sin afecto natural, desleales, calumniadores, incontinentes, crueles, aborrecedores de lo bueno,
4 traitors, headlong, of vain pretensions, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God;
Traidores, temerarios, hinchados, amadores de placeres, más bien que amadores de Dios;
5 having a form of piety but denying the power of it: and from these turn away.
Teniendo la apariencia de piedad, mas negando la eficacia de ella; a los tales también evita.
6 For of these are they who are getting into houses, and leading captive silly women, laden with sins, led by various lusts,
Porque de estos son los que se entran por las casas, y llevan cautivas a mujercillas, cargadas de pecados, llevadas de diversas concupiscencias;
7 always learning, and never able to come to [the] knowledge of [the] truth.
Que siempre aprenden, y nunca pueden acabar de llegar al conocimiento de la verdad.
8 Now in the same manner in which Jannes and Jambres withstood Moses, thus these also withstand the truth; men corrupted in mind, found worthless as regards the faith.
Y de la manera que Jannes y Jambres resistieron a Moisés, así también estos resisten a la verdad: hombres corrompidos de entendimiento, réprobos acerca de la fe:
9 But they shall not advance farther; for their folly shall be completely manifest to all, as that of those also became.
Mas no irán muy adelante; porque su locura será manifiesta a todos, como también lo fue la de aquellos.
10 But thou hast been thoroughly acquainted with my teaching, conduct, purpose, faith, longsuffering, love, endurance,
Tú empero has entendido cumplidamente mi doctrina, manera de vivir, intento, fe, largueza de ánimo, amor, paciencia,
11 persecutions, sufferings: what [sufferings] happened to me in Antioch, in Iconium, in Lystra; what persecutions I endured; and the Lord delivered me out of all.
Persecuciones, aflicciones, las cuales me sobrevinieron en Antioquía, Iconio, Listra: cuales persecuciones he sufrido; mas de todas ellas me ha librado el Señor.
12 And all indeed who desire to live piously in Christ Jesus will be persecuted.
Y aun todos los que quieren vivir píamente en Cristo, padecerán persecución.
13 But wicked men and juggling impostors shall advance in evil, leading and being led astray.
Mas los malos hombres, y los engañadores, aprovecharán de mal en peor, engañando, y siendo engañados.
14 But thou, abide in those things which thou hast learned, and [of which] thou hast been fully persuaded, knowing of whom thou hast learned [them];
Así que tú está firme en lo que has aprendido, y de que has sido persuadido, sabiendo de quien has aprendido;
15 and that from a child thou hast known the sacred letters, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation, through faith which [is] in Christ Jesus.
Y que desde la niñez has sabido las sagradas Escrituras, las cuales te pueden hacer sabio para la salud por medio de la fe que es en Cristo Jesús.
16 Every scripture [is] divinely inspired, and profitable for teaching, for conviction, for correction, for instruction in righteousness;
Toda la Escritura es inspirada divinamente, y es útil para enseñar, para reprender, para corregir, para instituir en justicia,
17 that the man of God may be complete, fully fitted to every good work.
Para que el hombre de Dios sea perfecto, perfectamente instruido para toda buena obra.
