1 Timothy 3
1 The word [is] faithful: if any one aspires to exercise oversight, he desires a good work.
ଏହି କଥା ସତ୍ୟ, କେହି ଯଦି ଅଧ୍ୟକ୍ଷ ପଦ ପାଇବାକୁ ଆକାଂକ୍ଷା କରନ୍ତି, ତେବେ ସେ ଉତ୍ତମ କାର୍ଯ୍ୟ ବାଞ୍ଛା କରନ୍ତି।
2 The overseer then must be irreproachable, husband of one wife, sober, discreet, decorous, hospitable, apt to teach;
ଅତଏବ, ଅଧ୍ୟକ୍ଷଙ୍କର ଅନିନ୍ଦନୀୟ ହେବା ଆବଶ୍ୟକ, ସେ ଅବଶ୍ୟ ଏକ ସ୍ତ୍ରୀର ସ୍ୱାମୀ, ଆତ୍ମସଞ୍ଜମ, ଉତ୍ତମ ବୁଦ୍ଧି, ସଦାଚାରୀ, ଆତିଥ୍ୟପ୍ରିୟ ଓ ଶିକ୍ଷାଦାନରେ ନିପୁଣ ହେବେ,
3 not given to excesses from wine, not a striker, but mild, not addicted to contention, not fond of money,
ମଦ୍ୟପାୟୀ କି ବିବାଦ-ପ୍ରିୟ ନ ହୋଇ ବରଂ ମୃଦୁଶୀଳ, ନିର୍ବିରୋଧ ଓ ନିର୍ଲୋଭ ହେବେ,
4 conducting his own house well, having [his] children in subjection with all gravity;
ନିଜ ପରିବାରକୁ ଉତ୍ତମ ରୂପେ ଶାସନ କରିବେ, ଗାମ୍ଭୀର୍ଯ୍ୟ ସହକାରେ ଆପଣା ସନ୍ତାନମାନଙ୍କୁ ବଶୀଭୂତ କରି ରଖିବେ।
5 (but if one does not know how to conduct his own house, how shall he take care of the assembly of God?)
କେହି ଯେବେ ଆପଣା ପରିବାରକୁ ଶାସନ କରିବାକୁ ଜାଣେ ନାହିଁ, ତେବେ ସେ କିପରି ଈଶ୍ବରଙ୍କ ମଣ୍ଡଳୀର ଦାୟିତ୍ୱ ନେବ?
6 not a novice, that he may not, being inflated, fall into [the] fault of the devil.
ସେ ନୂତନ ଶିଷ୍ୟ ହୋଇ ନ ଥିବେ, କାଳେ ଅସାରଗର୍ବୀ ହୋଇ ଶୟତାନ ଭଳି ଦଣ୍ଡଗ୍ରସ୍ତ ହେବେ।
7 But it is necessary that he should have also a good testimony from those without, that he may fall not into reproach and [the] snare of the devil.
ତାହାଙ୍କର ମଧ୍ୟ ବାହାର ଲୋକଙ୍କଠାରୁ ସମ୍ମାନ ପ୍ରାପ୍ତ ହେବା ଆବଶ୍ୟକ, କାଳେ ସେ ନିନ୍ଦା ପାଇ ଶୟତାନର ଫାନ୍ଦରେ ପଡ଼ିବେ।
8 Ministers, in like manner, grave, not double-tongued, not given to much wine, not seeking gain by base means,
ସେହି ପ୍ରକାରେ ସେବକମାନଙ୍କର ଶୁଦ୍ଧ ବିବେକରେ ବିଶ୍ୱାସର ନିଗୂଢ଼ତତ୍ତ୍ୱ ଅବଲମ୍ବନ କରି ଗମ୍ଭୀର, ଛଳନାବାକ୍ୟରହିତ,
9 holding the mystery of the faith in a pure conscience.
ମଦ୍ୟପାନରେ ଅନାସକ୍ତ ଓ କୁତ୍ସିତ ଧନଲାଭରେ ନିର୍ଲୋଭ ହେବା ଆବଶ୍ୟକ;
10 And let these be first proved, then let them minister, being without charge [against them].
ସେମାନେ ମଧ୍ୟ ପ୍ରଥମେ ପରୀକ୍ଷିତ ହେଉନ୍ତୁ, ପୁଣି, ନିର୍ଦ୍ଦୋଷ ଦେଖାଗଲେ ସେବକ ପଦରେ ନିଯୁକ୍ତ ହେଉନ୍ତୁ।
11 [The] women in like manner grave, not slanderers, sober, faithful in all things.
ସେହି ପ୍ରକାରେ ସ୍ତ୍ରୀମାନଙ୍କର ମଧ୍ୟ ପରନିନ୍ଦାକାରିଣୀ ନ ହୋଇ ଗମ୍ଭୀର, ମିତାଚାରିଣୀ ଓ ସମସ୍ତ ବିଷୟରେ ବିଶ୍ୱସ୍ତ ହେବା ଆବଶ୍ୟକ।
12 Let [the] ministers be husbands of one wife, conducting [their] children and their own houses well:
ସେବକମାନେ ଏକ ଏକ ସ୍ତ୍ରୀର ସ୍ୱାମୀ ହେଉନ୍ତୁ, ପୁଣି, ନିଜ ନିଜ ସନ୍ତାନମାନଙ୍କୁ ଓ ପରିବାରକୁ ଉତ୍ତମ ରୂପେ ଶାସନ କରନ୍ତୁ।
13 for those who shall have ministered well obtain for themselves a good degree, and much boldness in faith which [is] in Christ Jesus.
କାରଣ ଯେଉଁମାନେ ଉତ୍ତମ ରୂପେ ସେବକ କାର୍ଯ୍ୟ କରିଅଛନ୍ତି, ସେମାନେ ନିଜ ନିଜ ପାଇଁ ଉତ୍ତମ ଖ୍ୟାତି ଓ ଖ୍ରୀଷ୍ଟ ଯୀଶୁଙ୍କଠାରେ ବିଶ୍ୱାସମୂଳକ ଅଧିକ ସାହସ ପାଇବେ।
14 These things I write to thee, hoping to come to thee more quickly;
ମୁଁ ଶୀଘ୍ର ତୁମ୍ଭ ନିକଟକୁ ଯିବି ବୋଲି ଆଶା କରୁଅଛି;
15 but if I delay, in order that thou mayest know how one ought to conduct oneself in God's house, which is [the] assembly of [the] living God, [the] pillar and base of the truth.
ମାତ୍ର ଯେବେ ମୋହର ବିଳମ୍ବ ହୁଏ, ତେବେ ଈଶ୍ବରଙ୍କ ଗୃହରେ, ଅର୍ଥାତ୍ ସତ୍ୟର ସ୍ତମ୍ଭ ଓ ଭିତ୍ତିମୂଳ ସ୍ୱରୂପ ଜୀବିତ ଈଶ୍ବରଙ୍କ ମଣ୍ଡଳୀରେ, କିପରି ଆଚରଣ କରିବାକୁ ହୁଏ, ତାହା ଯେପରି ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଜାଣି ପାର, ଏହେତୁ ଏହି ସମସ୍ତ ତୁମ୍ଭ ନିକଟକୁ ଲେଖୁଅଛି।
16 And confessedly the mystery of piety is great. God has been manifested in flesh, has been justified in [the] Spirit, has appeared to angels, has been preached among [the] nations, has been believed on in [the] world, has been received up in glory.
ଈଶ୍ବରପରାୟଣତାର ନିଗୂଢ଼ତତ୍ତ୍ୱ ଯେ ମହତ୍, ଏହା ସମସ୍ତେ ସ୍ୱୀକାର କରନ୍ତି। ତାହା ଏହି, ସେ ଦେହବନ୍ତ ହୋଇ ପ୍ରକାଶିତ ହେଲେ, ଆତ୍ମାରେ ଧାର୍ମିକ ବୋଲି ପ୍ରମାଣିତ ହେଲେ, ଦୂତମାନଙ୍କ ଦ୍ୱାରା ଦେଖାଗଲେ, ଜାତିମାନଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ୟରେ ପ୍ରଚାରିତ ହେଲେ, ଜଗତରେ ବିଶ୍ୱାସପାତ୍ର ହେଲେ, ଗୌରବରେ ସେ ସ୍ୱର୍ଗକୁ ଉତ୍ଥିତ ହେଲେ।
