1 Thessalonians 5
1 But concerning the times and the seasons, brethren, ye have no need that ye should be written to,
ഹേ ഭ്രാതരഃ, കാലാൻ സമയാംശ്ചാധി യുഷ്മാൻ പ്രതി മമ ലിഖനം നിഷ്പ്രയോജനം,
2 for ye know perfectly well yourselves, that the day of [the] Lord so comes as a thief by night.
യതോ രാത്രൗ യാദൃക് തസ്കരസ്താദൃക് പ്രഭോ ർദിനമ് ഉപസ്ഥാസ്യതീതി യൂയം സ്വയമേവ സമ്യഗ് ജാനീഥ|
3 When they may say, Peace and safety, then sudden destruction comes upon them, as travail upon her that is with child; and they shall in no wise escape.
ശാന്തി ർനിർവ്വിൻഘത്വഞ്ച വിദ്യത ഇതി യദാ മാനവാ വദിഷ്യന്തി തദാ പ്രസവവേദനാ യദ്വദ് ഗർബ്ഭിനീമ് ഉപതിഷ്ഠതി തദ്വദ് അകസ്മാദ് വിനാശസ്താൻ ഉപസ്ഥാസ്യതി തൈരുദ്ധാരോ ന ലപ്സ്യതേ|
4 But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that the day should overtake you as a thief:
കിന്തു ഹേ ഭ്രാതരഃ, യൂയമ് അന്ധകാരേണാവൃതാ ന ഭവഥ തസ്മാത് തദ്ദിനം തസ്കര ഇവ യുഷ്മാൻ ന പ്രാപ്സ്യതി|
5 for all ye are sons of light and sons of day; we are not of night nor of darkness.
സർവ്വേ യൂയം ദീപ്തേഃ സന്താനാ ദിവായാശ്ച സന്താനാ ഭവഥ വയം നിശാവംശാസ്തിമിരവംശാ വാ ന ഭവാമഃ|
6 So then do not let us sleep as the rest do, but let us watch and be sober;
അതോ ഽപരേ യഥാ നിദ്രാഗതാഃ സന്തി തദ്വദ് അസ്മാഭി ർന ഭവിതവ്യം കിന്തു ജാഗരിതവ്യം സചേതനൈശ്ച ഭവിതവ്യം|
7 for they that sleep sleep by night, and they that drink drink by night;
യേ നിദ്രാന്തി തേ നിശായാമേവ നിദ്രാന്തി തേ ച മത്താ ഭവന്തി തേ രജന്യാമേവ മത്താ ഭവന്തി|
8 but we being of [the] day, let us be sober, putting on [the] breastplate of faith and love, and as helmet [the] hope of salvation;
കിന്തു വയം ദിവസസ്യ വംശാ ഭവാമഃ; അതോ ഽസ്മാഭി ർവക്ഷസി പ്രത്യയപ്രേമരൂപം കവചം ശിരസി ച പരിത്രാണാശാരൂപം ശിരസ്ത്രം പരിധായ സചേതനൈ ർഭവിതവ്യം|
9 because God has not set us for wrath, but for obtaining salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ,
യത ഈശ്വരോഽസ്മാൻ ക്രോധേ ന നിയുജ്യാസ്മാകം പ്രഭുനാ യീശുഖ്രീഷ്ടേന പരിത്രാണസ്യാധികാരേ നിയുക്തവാൻ,
10 who has died for us, that whether we may be watching or sleep, we may live together with him.
ജാഗ്രതോ നിദ്രാഗതാ വാ വയം യത് തേന പ്രഭുനാ സഹ ജീവാമസ്തദർഥം സോഽസ്മാകം കൃതേ പ്രാണാൻ ത്യക്തവാൻ|
11 Wherefore encourage one another, and build up each one the other, even as also ye do.
അതഏവ യൂയം യദ്വത് കുരുഥ തദ്വത് പരസ്പരം സാന്ത്വയത സുസ്ഥിരീകുരുധ്വഞ്ച|
12 But we beg you, brethren, to know those who labour among you, and take the lead among you in [the] Lord, and admonish you,
ഹേ ഭ്രാതരഃ, യുഷ്മാകം മധ്യേ യേ ജനാഃ പരിശ്രമം കുർവ്വന്തി പ്രഭോ ർനാമ്നാ യുഷ്മാൻ അധിതിഷ്ഠന്ത്യുപദിശന്തി ച താൻ യൂയം സമ്മന്യധ്വം|
13 and to regard them exceedingly in love on account of their work. Be in peace among yourselves.
സ്വകർമ്മഹേതുനാ ച പ്രേമ്നാ താൻ അതീവാദൃയധ്വമിതി മമ പ്രാർഥനാ, യൂയം പരസ്പരം നിർവ്വിരോധാ ഭവത|
14 But we exhort you, brethren, admonish the disorderly, comfort the faint-hearted, sustain the weak, be patient towards all.
ഹേ ഭ്രാതരഃ, യുഷ്മാൻ വിനയാമഹേ യൂയമ് അവിഹിതാചാരിണോ ലോകാൻ ഭർത്സയധ്വം, ക്ഷുദ്രമനസഃ സാന്ത്വയത, ദുർബ്ബലാൻ ഉപകുരുത, സർവ്വാൻ പ്രതി സഹിഷ്ണവോ ഭവത ച|
15 See that no one render to any evil for evil, but pursue always what is good towards one another and towards all;
അപരം കമപി പ്രത്യനിഷ്ടസ്യ ഫലമ് അനിഷ്ടം കേനാപി യന്ന ക്രിയേത തദർഥം സാവധാനാ ഭവത, കിന്തു പരസ്പരം സർവ്വാൻ മാനവാംശ്ച പ്രതി നിത്യം ഹിതാചാരിണോ ഭവത|
16 rejoice always;
സർവ്വദാനന്ദത|
17 pray unceasingly;
നിരന്തരം പ്രാർഥനാം കുരുധ്വം|
18 in everything give thanks, for this is [the] will of God in Christ Jesus towards you;
സർവ്വവിഷയേ കൃതജ്ഞതാം സ്വീകുരുധ്വം യത ഏതദേവ ഖ്രീഷ്ടയീശുനാ യുഷ്മാൻ പ്രതി പ്രകാശിതമ് ഈശ്വരാഭിമതം|
19 quench not the Spirit;
പവിത്രമ് ആത്മാനം ന നിർവ്വാപയത|
20 do not lightly esteem prophecies;
ഈശ്വരീയാദേശം നാവജാനീത|
21 but prove all things, hold fast the right;
സർവ്വാണി പരീക്ഷ്യ യദ് ഭദ്രം തദേവ ധാരയത|
22 hold aloof from every form of wickedness.
യത് കിമപി പാപരൂപം ഭവതി തസ്മാദ് ദൂരം തിഷ്ഠത|
23 Now the God of peace himself sanctify you wholly: and your whole spirit, and soul, and body be preserved blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.
ശാന്തിദായക ഈശ്വരഃ സ്വയം യുഷ്മാൻ സമ്പൂർണത്വേന പവിത്രാൻ കരോതു, അപരമ് അസ്മത്പ്രഭോ ര്യീശുഖ്രീഷ്ടസ്യാഗമനം യാവദ് യുഷ്മാകമ് ആത്മാനഃ പ്രാണാഃ ശരീരാണി ച നിഖിലാനി നിർദ്ദോഷത്വേന രക്ഷ്യന്താം|
24 He [is] faithful who calls you, who will also perform [it].
യോ യുഷ്മാൻ ആഹ്വയതി സ വിശ്വസനീയോഽതഃ സ തത് സാധയിഷ്യതി|
25 Brethren, pray for us.
ഹേ ഭ്രാതരഃ, അസ്മാകം കൃതേ പ്രാർഥനാം കുരുധ്വം|
26 Greet all the brethren with a holy kiss.
പവിത്രചുമ്ബനേന സർവ്വാൻ ഭ്രാതൃൻ പ്രതി സത്കുരുധ്വം|
27 I adjure you by the Lord that the letter be read to all the [holy] brethren.
പത്രമിദം സർവ്വേഷാം പവിത്രാണാം ഭ്രാതൃണാം ശ്രുതിഗോചരേ യുഷ്മാഭിഃ പഠ്യതാമിതി പ്രഭോ ർനാമ്നാ യുഷ്മാൻ ശപയാമി|
28 The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ [be] with you.
അസ്മാകം പ്രഭോ ര്യീശുഖ്രീഷ്ടസ്യാനുഗ്രതേ യുഷ്മാസു ഭൂയാത്| ആമേൻ|
