< 1 Thessalonians 5 >

1 But concerning the times and the seasons, brethren, ye have no need that ye should be written to,
Ahi tazong suapui te awng, hun le khuahun thu te note tung ah lai taw kong at tu ki sam ngawl hi.
2 for ye know perfectly well yourselves, that the day of [the] Lord so comes as a thief by night.
Banghangziam cile zan in nguta hongpai bang in, Topa ni zong tabang hi tu hi, ci sia noma mama in a kicingtak in na he uh hi.
3 When they may say, Peace and safety, then sudden destruction comes upon them, as travail upon her that is with child; and they shall in no wise escape.
Banghangziam cile naupai nupi nautun nat bang in; amate in nuam in thim khipkhep hi, a ci uh laitak in amate tung ah upmawk ngawl pi in hong theng tu hi; taciang amate suakta ngawl tu hi.
4 But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that the day should overtake you as a thief:
Ahihang, suapui te awng, tua ni ciang nguta bang hong phak pak tu in, note khuazing sung ah na om bua uh hi.
5 for all ye are sons of light and sons of day; we are not of night nor of darkness.
Note theampo sia khuavak tate na hi uh hi, taciang sun i tate na hi uh hi: eite sia zan i tate i hi bua hi, khuazing tate zong i hi bua hi.
6 So then do not let us sleep as the rest do, but let us watch and be sober;
Tua ahikom ngualdang te mut bang in, mu ba tawng; eite kinging le pilvang in ngak tawng.
7 for they that sleep sleep by night, and they that drink drink by night;
Banghangziam cile a mu te sia zan lai in mu uh hi; taciang zukham te zong zan ciang in kham uh hi.
8 but we being of [the] day, let us be sober, putting on [the] breastplate of faith and love, and as helmet [the] hope of salvation;
Ahihang sun i ta eite, pilvang in om tawng, upna le itna awmdal bel tawng; taciang lukhu atu in ngupna i lametna khu tawng.
9 because God has not set us for wrath, but for obtaining salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ,
Banghangziam cile Pathian in thin-ukna atu in a ciangtan te i hi bua hi, ahihang i Topa Jesus Christ tungtawn in ngupna nga tu in hong ciangtan sa te i hihi.
10 who has died for us, that whether we may be watching or sleep, we may live together with him.
Eite i khanglo zong, i mu zong, eite atu in a thi Ama taw i nungta khawm tu hi.
11 Wherefore encourage one another, and build up each one the other, even as also ye do.
Tua ahikom, tu in na ngamtat uh bangma in, noma le noma ki heneam tavun, taciang khat le khat ki khangsak tavun.
12 But we beg you, brethren, to know those who labour among you, and take the lead among you in [the] Lord, and admonish you,
Suapui te awng, note sung ah naseam te, Topa sung ah na lampui uh te le note hong tek te zakta tu in kong thum uh hi;
13 and to regard them exceedingly in love on account of their work. Be in peace among yourselves.
Taciang amate nasep hu in itna sung ah a sang mama in ngaisun tavun. Taciang note sung ah thinnopna hong om tahen.
14 But we exhort you, brethren, admonish the disorderly, comfort the faint-hearted, sustain the weak, be patient towards all.
Tu in, suapui te awng, thu ni ngawl datham te kidop natu thupia vun, a thaneam te hu vun, mi theampo tung ah thinsau vun, ci in kong hanthawn uh hi.
15 See that no one render to any evil for evil, but pursue always what is good towards one another and towards all;
Khat po i tung ah na pha ngawl te na pha ngawl tawma in thukkik ngawl tu in kidawm vun; ahihang note sung ah ahizong, mi theampo tung ah ahizong, thu pha te zui tawntung vun.
16 rejoice always;
Lungdam tawntung vun.
17 pray unceasingly;
Tatsat ngawl in thungen vun.
18 in everything give thanks, for this is [the] will of God in Christ Jesus towards you;
Na theampo ah lungdam ko vun: banghangziam cile hi sia in note taw kisai in Christ Jesus sung ah Pathian deina a hihi.
19 quench not the Spirit;
Thaa mei-kuang mitsak heak vun.
20 do not lightly esteem prophecies;
Kamsang thu pualak nate thusimngawl heak vun.
21 but prove all things, hold fast the right;
Na theampo sittel vun; na pha te khotak in lenkip vun.
22 hold aloof from every form of wickedness.
A pha ngawl in a kilang na theampo pial vun.
23 Now the God of peace himself sanctify you wholly: and your whole spirit, and soul, and body be preserved blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Taciang thinnopna Pathian in hong thiansua thiangtho ta hen; taciang note i thaa, na nuntakna uh le na pumpi uh sia, i Topa Jesus Christ hong thet dong, paubang ngawl in na kepcing natu uh Pathian tung ah thungen tawng.
24 He [is] faithful who calls you, who will also perform [it].
Note hongsam pa sia thuman a, Ama in hong seam tu hi.
25 Brethren, pray for us.
Suapui te awng, thu hong ngetsak tavun.
26 Greet all the brethren with a holy kiss.
Suapui te theampo sia a thiangtho kinap na taw na nukset vun.
27 I adjure you by the Lord that the letter be read to all the [holy] brethren.
Hi laithak sia a thiangtho suapui theampo tung ah sim tu in Topa min taw kong vaitha hi.
28 The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ [be] with you.
I Topa Jesus Christ thuthiamna note tung ah hong om tahen. Amen.
