1 Kings 18
1 And it came to pass after many days, that the word of Jehovah came to Elijah in the third year, saying, Go, shew thyself to Ahab; and I will send rain upon the face of the earth.
൧വളരെനാൾ കഴിഞ്ഞ് മൂന്നാം സംവത്സരത്തിൽ ഏലീയാവിന് യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടുണ്ടായി: “നീ ചെന്ന് ആഹാബിന്റെ മുമ്പിൽ പ്രത്യക്ഷപ്പെടുക; ഞാൻ ഭൂമിയിൽ മഴ പെയ്യിപ്പാൻ പോകുന്നു” എന്ന് പറഞ്ഞു.
2 And Elijah went to shew himself to Ahab. And the famine was severe in Samaria.
൨ഏലീയാവ് ആഹാബിന്റെ മുൻപിൽ പ്രത്യക്ഷപ്പെടുവാൻ പോയി; അപ്പോൾ ശമര്യയിൽ അതികഠിന ക്ഷാമമായിരുന്നു.
3 And Ahab called Obadiah, who was the steward of his house (now Obadiah feared Jehovah greatly;
൩ആഹാബ് തന്റെ ഗൃഹവിചാരകനായ ഓബദ്യാവിനെ ആളയച്ചുവരുത്തി; ഓബദ്യാവ് യഹോവയോട് വളരെ ഭക്തിയുള്ള വ്യക്തിയായിരുന്നു.
4 and it was so, when Jezebel cut off the prophets of Jehovah, that Obadiah took a hundred prophets, and hid them by fifty in a cave, and maintained them with bread and water);
൪ഈസേബെൽ യഹോവയുടെ പ്രവാചകന്മാരെ കൊല്ലുമ്പോൾ, ഓബദ്യാവ് നൂറു പ്രവാചകന്മാരെ കൂട്ടിക്കൊണ്ട് പോയി ഓരോ ഗുഹയിൽ അമ്പതുപേരെ വീതം ഒളിപ്പിച്ച് അപ്പവും വെള്ളവും കൊടുത്ത് രക്ഷിച്ചു.
5 and Ahab said to Obadiah, Go through the land, to all the fountains of water and to all the torrents, perhaps we may find grass to save the horses and the mules alive, so that we may not have to destroy some of [our] beasts.
൫ആഹാബ് ഓബദ്യാവിനോട്: “നീ ദേശത്തെ എല്ലാ നീരുറവുകളുടെയും തോടുകളുടെയും അരികെ ചെന്ന് നോക്കുക; ഒരുപക്ഷേ മൃഗങ്ങൾ എല്ലാം നശിച്ചുപോകാതെ കുതിരകളെയും കോവർകഴുതകളെയും എങ്കിലും ജീവനോടെ രക്ഷിപ്പാൻ നമുക്ക് പുല്ല് കിട്ടുമായിരിക്കും” എന്ന് പറഞ്ഞു.
6 And they divided the land between them to pass through it: Ahab went one way by himself, and Obadiah went another way by himself.
൬ദേശത്തെ അവർ രണ്ടായി പകുത്തു; ഒരു ദിശയിലേക്ക് ആഹാബും, മറ്റേ ദിശയിലേക്ക് ഓബദ്യാവും യാത്രയായി;
7 And as Obadiah was on the way, behold, Elijah met him; and he knew him, and fell on his face, and said, Is it indeed thou, my lord Elijah?
൭ഓബദ്യാവ് യാത്ര ചെയ്യുമ്പോൾ ഏലീയാവ് എതിരെ വരുന്നത് കണ്ടു; ഓബദ്യാവ് അദ്ദേഹത്തെ തിരിച്ചറിഞ്ഞ് സാഷ്ടാംഗം വീണു: “എന്റെ യജമാനനായ ഏലീയാവോ” എന്ന് ചോദിച്ചു.
8 And he said to him, I [am he]: go, say to thy lord, Behold Elijah!
൮അവൻ അവനോട്: “അതേ, ഞാൻ തന്നേ; നീ ചെന്ന് ഏലീയാവ് ഇവിടെ ഉണ്ടെന്ന് നിന്റെ യജമാനനെ അറിയിക്കുക” എന്ന് പറഞ്ഞു.
9 And he said, What have I sinned, that thou givest thy servant into the hand of Ahab, to put me to death?
൯അതിന് ഓബദ്യാവ് പറഞ്ഞത്: “അടിയനെ കൊല്ലേണ്ടതിന് ആഹാബിന്റെ കയ്യിൽ ഏല്പിക്കുവാൻ അടിയൻ എന്ത് പാപംചെയ്തു?
10 As Jehovah thy God liveth, there is no nation or kingdom whither my lord has not sent to seek thee; and when they said, He is not [here], he took an oath of the kingdom or nation that they found thee not.
൧൦നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയാണ, നിന്നെ അന്വേഷിപ്പാൻ എന്റെ യജമാനൻ ആളെ അയക്കാത്ത ജനതയോ രാജ്യമോ ഇല്ല; ‘നീ അവിടെ ഇല്ല’ എന്ന് അവർ പറഞ്ഞപ്പോൾ അവൻ ആ രാജ്യത്തെയും ജനതയെയുംകൊണ്ട് ‘നിന്നെ കണ്ടിട്ടില്ല’ എന്ന് സത്യംചെയ്യിച്ചു.
11 And now thou sayest, Go, say to thy lord, Behold Elijah!
൧൧ഇങ്ങനെയിരിക്കെ ‘ഏലീയാവ് ഇവിടെ ഉണ്ടെന്ന് എന്റെ യജമാനനെ അറിയിക്ക’ എന്ന് നീ കല്പിക്കുന്നുവല്ലോ.
12 And it shall come to pass when I am gone from thee, that the Spirit of Jehovah shall carry thee whither I know not; and when I come and tell Ahab, and he cannot find thee, he will kill me; and I thy servant fear Jehovah from my youth.
൧൨ഞാൻ നിന്നെ വിട്ടുപോയാൽ ഉടനെ യഹോവയുടെ ആത്മാവ് നിന്നെ എടുത്ത് ഞാൻ അറിയാത്ത ഒരു സ്ഥലത്തേക്ക് കൊണ്ടുപോകും; ഞാൻ ആഹാബിനോട് ചെന്നറിയിക്കയും അവൻ നിന്നെ കണ്ടെത്താതെ വരികയും ചെയ്താൽ, അവൻ എന്നെ കൊല്ലുമല്ലോ; അടിയനോ ബാല്യംമുതൽ യഹോവഭക്തൻ ആകുന്നു.
13 Was it not told my lord what I did when Jezebel slew the prophets of Jehovah, how I hid a hundred men of Jehovah's prophets by fifty in a cave, and maintained them with bread and water?
൧൩ഈസേബെൽ യഹോവയുടെ പ്രവാചകന്മാരെ കൊന്നപ്പോൾ, ഞാൻ അവരിൽ നൂറുപേരെ ഓരോ ഗുഹയിൽ അമ്പതുപേരായി ഒളിപ്പിച്ച് അപ്പവും വെള്ളവും കൊടുത്ത് രക്ഷിച്ചത് യജമാനൻ അറിഞ്ഞിട്ടില്ലയോ?
14 And now thou sayest, Go, say to thy lord, Behold Elijah! and he will kill me.
൧൪ഇപ്പോൾ നീ എന്നോട്: ‘ഏലീയാവ് ഇവിടെ ഉണ്ടെന്ന് നിന്റെ യജമാനനെ അറിയിക്ക’ എന്ന് കല്പിക്കുന്നുവോ? അവൻ എന്നെ കൊല്ലുമല്ലോ”.
15 And Elijah said, As Jehovah of hosts liveth, before whom I stand, I will certainly shew myself to him to-day.
൧൫അതിന് ഏലീയാവ്: “ഞാൻ സേവിച്ചുനില്ക്കുന്ന സൈന്യങ്ങളുടെ യഹോവയാണ, ഞാൻ ഇന്ന് തീർച്ചയായും അവന്റെ മുൻപിൽ പ്രത്യക്ഷനാകും” എന്ന് പറഞ്ഞു.
16 Then Obadiah went to meet Ahab, and told him. And Ahab went to meet Elijah.
൧൬അങ്ങനെ ഓബദ്യാവ് ആഹാബിനെ കണ്ട് വസ്തുത അറിയിച്ചു; ആഹാബ് ഏലീയാവിനെ കാണ്മാൻ ചെന്നു.
17 And it came to pass when Ahab saw Elijah, that Ahab said to him, Is it thou, the troubler of Israel?
൧൭ആഹാബ് ഏലീയാവിനെ കണ്ടപ്പോൾ: “ആരിത്? യിസ്രായേലിനെ കഷ്ടപ്പെടുത്തുന്നവനോ” എന്ന് ചോദിച്ചു.
18 And he said, I have not troubled Israel, but thou and thy father's house, in that ye have forsaken the commandments of Jehovah, and thou hast followed the Baals.
൧൮അതിന് ഏലിയാവ്: “യിസ്രായേലിനെ കഷ്ടപ്പെടുത്തുന്നത് ഞാനല്ല, നീയും നിന്റെ പിതൃഭവനവുമത്രേ. നിങ്ങൾ യഹോവയുടെ കല്പനകളെ ഉപേക്ഷിക്കയും ബാല്‍ വിഗ്രഹങ്ങളെ സേവിക്കയും ചെയ്യുന്നതുകൊണ്ട് തന്നേ.
19 And now send, gather to me all Israel to mount Carmel, and the prophets of Baal four hundred and fifty, and the prophets of the Asherah four hundred, who eat at Jezebel's table.
൧൯എന്നാൽ ഇപ്പോൾ ആളയച്ച് എല്ലാ യിസ്രായേലിനെയും ബാലിന്റെ നാനൂറ്റമ്പത് പ്രവാചകന്മാരെയും ഈസേബെലിന്റെ മേശയിൽ ഭക്ഷിച്ചുവരുന്ന നാനൂറ് അശേരാപ്രവാചകന്മാരെയും കർമ്മേൽപർവ്വതത്തിൽ എന്റെ അടുക്കൽ കൂട്ടിവരുത്തുക”
20 So Ahab sent to all the children of Israel, and gathered the prophets together unto mount Carmel.
൨൦അങ്ങനെ ആഹാബ് യിസ്രായേലിൽ എല്ലാം ആളയച്ച്, ആ പ്രവാചകന്മാരെ കർമ്മേൽപർവ്വതത്തിൽ കൂട്ടിവരുത്തി.
21 Then Elijah drew near to all the people, and said, How long do ye halt between two opinions? if Jehovah be God, follow him; and if Baal, follow him. And the people answered him not a word.
൨൧അപ്പോൾ ഏലീയാവ് അടുത്തുചെന്ന് സർവ്വജനത്തോടും: “നിങ്ങൾ എത്രത്തോളം അഭിപ്രായ സ്ഥിരതയില്ലാത്തവരായി രണ്ട് തോണിയിൽ കാൽ വെക്കും? യഹോവ ദൈവം എങ്കിൽ അവിടുത്തെ അനുഗമിക്കുവിൻ; ബാല്‍ എങ്കിലോ അവനെ പിൻപറ്റുവിൻ” എന്ന് പറഞ്ഞു; എന്നാൽ ജനം അവനോട് ഉത്തരം ഒന്നും പറഞ്ഞില്ല.
22 And Elijah said to the people, I, only I, remain a prophet of Jehovah; and Baal's prophets are four hundred and fifty men.
൨൨പിന്നെ ഏലീയാവ് ജനത്തോട് പറഞ്ഞത്: “യഹോവയുടെ പ്രവാചകനായി ഞാൻ ഒരുത്തൻ മാത്രമേ ശേഷിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നുള്ളു; ബാലിന്റെ പ്രവാചകന്മാരോ നാനൂറ്റമ്പത് പേരുണ്ട്.
23 Let them therefore give us two bullocks: and let them choose one bullock for themselves, and cut it in pieces, and put it on the wood, and put no fire; and I will sacrifice the other bullock, and put it on the wood, and put no fire.
൨൩ഞങ്ങൾക്ക് രണ്ട് കാളകളെ തരുവിൻ; ഒരു കാളയെ അവർ തിരഞ്ഞെടുത്ത് ഖണ്ഡംഖണ്ഡമാക്കി തീ ഇടാതെ വിറകിന്മേൽ വെക്കട്ടെ; മറ്റേ കാളയെ ഞാനും ഒരുക്കി തീ ഇടാതെ വിറകിന്മേൽ വെക്കാം;
24 And call ye on the name of your gods, and I will call on the name of Jehovah; and the god that answers by fire, let him be God. And all the people answered and said, The word is good.
൨൪നിങ്ങൾ നിങ്ങളുടെ ദേവന്റെ നാമത്തെ വിളിച്ചപേക്ഷിപ്പിൻ; ഞാൻ യഹോവയുടെ നാമത്തെ വിളിച്ചപേക്ഷിക്കാം; തീകൊണ്ട് ഉത്തരം അരുളുന്ന ദൈവം തന്നേ ദൈവമായിരിക്കും;” അതിന് ജനം എല്ലാം:
25 And Elijah said to the prophets of Baal, Choose one bullock for yourselves, and sacrifice it first; for ye are the many; and call on the name of your god, but put no fire.
൨൫‘അത് നല്ലകാര്യം തന്നെ’ എന്ന് ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞു. പിന്നെ ഏലീയാവ് ബാലിന്റെ പ്രവാചകന്മാരോട്: “നിങ്ങൾ ഒരു കാളയെ തിരഞ്ഞെടുത്ത് ആദ്യം ഒരുക്കിക്കൊൾവിൻ; നിങ്ങൾ അധികം പേരുണ്ടല്ലോ; എന്നിട്ട് തീ ഇടാതെ നിങ്ങളുടെ ദേവന്റെ നാമത്തെ വിളിച്ചപേക്ഷിപ്പിൻ” എന്ന് പറഞ്ഞു.
26 And they took the bullock which had been given them, and sacrificed it, and called on the name of Baal from morning until noon, saying, O Baal, answer us! But there was no voice, and none answered. And they leaped about the altar that had been made.
൨൬അങ്ങനെ അവർക്ക് കൊടുത്ത കാളയെ അവർ എടുത്ത് ഒരുക്കി: ‘ബാലേ, ഉത്തരമരുളേണമേ’ എന്ന് രാവിലെ തുടങ്ങി ഉച്ചവരെ ബാലിന്റെ നാമത്തെ വിളിച്ചപേക്ഷിച്ചു. ഒരു ശബ്ദമോ ഉത്തരമോ ഉണ്ടായില്ല. തങ്ങൾ ഉണ്ടാക്കിയ ബലിപീഠത്തിന് ചുറ്റും അവർ തുള്ളിച്ചാടിക്കൊണ്ടിരുന്നു.
27 And it came to pass at noon that Elijah mocked them and said, Cry aloud; for he is a god; for he is meditating, or gone aside, or he is on a journey; perhaps he sleeps, and will awake.
൨൭ഉച്ചയായപ്പോൾ ഏലീയാവ് അവരെ പരിഹസിച്ചു: “ഉറക്കെ വിളിപ്പിൻ; അവൻ ദേവനല്ലോ; അവൻ തിരക്കിലായിരിക്കാം; അല്ലെങ്കിൽ ധ്യാനത്തിലോ, യാത്രയിലോ, ഉറക്കത്തിലോ ആയിരിക്കാം; അവനെ ഉണർത്തേണം” എന്ന് പറഞ്ഞു.
28 And they cried aloud, and cut themselves after their manner with swords and spears, till the blood gushed out upon them.
൨൮അവർ ഉറക്കെ വിളിച്ച് പതിവുപോലെ രക്തം ഒഴുകുവോളം വാൾകൊണ്ടും കുന്തംകൊണ്ടും തങ്ങളെത്തന്നെ മുറിവേല്പിച്ചു.
29 And it came to pass when midday was past, that they prophesied until the [time] of the offering up of the oblation; but there was neither voice, nor any that answered, nor any attention.
൨൯മദ്ധ്യാഹ്നം കഴിഞ്ഞ് വൈകുന്നേരത്തെ യാഗം കഴിക്കുന്ന സമയംവരെ അവർ ഇത് തുടർന്നുകൊണ്ടിരുന്നു; എന്നിട്ടും ഒരു ശബ്ദമോ ഉത്തരമോ പ്രതികരണമോ ഉണ്ടായില്ല.
30 Then Elijah said to all the people, Draw near to me. And all the people drew near to him. And he repaired the altar of Jehovah which was broken down.
൩൦അപ്പോൾ ഏലീയാവ്: ‘എന്റെ അടുക്കൽ വരുവിൻ എന്ന് സർവ്വജനത്തോടും പറഞ്ഞു. സർവ്വജനവും അവന്റെ അടുക്കൽ വന്നു. അവൻ ഇടിഞ്ഞുകിടന്ന യഹോവയുടെ യാഗപീഠം നന്നാക്കി;
31 And Elijah took twelve stones, according to the number of the tribes of the sons of Jacob, to whom the word of Jehovah came saying, Israel shall be thy name;
൩൧‘നിനക്ക് യിസ്രായേൽ എന്ന് പേരാകും’ എന്ന് യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാട് ലഭിച്ച യാക്കോബിന്റെ പുത്രന്മാരുടെ ഗോത്രസംഖ്യക്ക് ഒത്തവണ്ണം പന്ത്രണ്ട് കല്ല് എടുത്തു;
32 and with the stones he built an altar in the name of Jehovah, and made a trench round about the altar, of the capacity of two measures of seed;
൩൨കല്ലുകൊണ്ട് യഹോവയുടെ നാമത്തിൽ ഒരു യാഗപീഠം പണിതു; യാഗപീഠത്തിന്റെ ചുറ്റും രണ്ടു സെയാ വിത്ത് വിതെപ്പാൻ മതിയായ വിസ്താരത്തിൽ ഒരു തോട് ഉണ്ടാക്കി.
33 and he put the wood in order, and cut the bullock in pieces, and laid it on the wood. And he said, Fill four pitchers with water, and pour it on the burnt-offering, and on the wood.
൩൩പിന്നെ അവൻ വിറക് അടുക്കി കാളയെ ഖണ്ഡംഖണ്ഡമാക്കി വിറകിൻമീതെ വെച്ചു; ‘നാല് തൊട്ടിയിൽ വെള്ളം നിറച്ച് ഹോമയാഗത്തിന്മേലും വിറകിന്മേലും ഒഴിപ്പിൻ’ എന്ന് പറഞ്ഞു.
34 And he said, Do it the second time. And they did it the second time. And he said, Do it the third time. And they did it the third time.
൩൪‘രണ്ടാം പ്രാവശ്യവും അങ്ങനെ ചെയ്‌വിൻ’ എന്ന് അവൻ പറഞ്ഞു. അവർ രണ്ടാം പ്രാവശ്യവും ചെയ്തു; അതിന്‍റെശേഷം: ‘മൂന്നാം പ്രാവശ്യവും അങ്ങനെ ചെയ്‌വിൻ’ എന്ന് അവൻ പറഞ്ഞു. അവർ മൂന്നാം പ്രാവശ്യവും ചെയ്തു.
35 And the water ran round about the altar; and he filled the trench also with water.
൩൫വെള്ളം യാഗപീഠത്തിന്റെ ചുറ്റം ഒഴുകി; അവൻ തോട്ടിലും വെള്ളം നിറച്ച്.
36 And it came to pass at [the time of] the offering up of the oblation, that Elijah the prophet drew near, and said, Jehovah, God of Abraham, Isaac and Israel, let it be known this day that thou art God in Israel, and that I am thy servant, and that I have done all these things by thy word.
൩൬വൈകുന്നേരത്തെ യാഗം കഴിക്കുന്ന നേരത്ത്, ഏലീയാപ്രവാചകൻ അടുത്തുചെന്ന്: “അബ്രാഹാമിന്‍റെയും യിസ്ഹാക്കിന്റെയും യിസ്രായേലിന്റെയും ദൈവമായ യഹോവേ, അവിടുന്ന് യിസ്രായേലിൽ ദൈവമെന്നും ഞാൻ അങ്ങയുടെ ദാസൻ എന്നും ഈ കാര്യങ്ങളൊക്കെയും ഞാൻ അങ്ങയുടെ കല്പനപ്രകാരം ചെയ്തു എന്നും ഇന്ന് വെളിപ്പെടുമാറാകട്ടെ.
37 Answer me, Jehovah, answer me, that this people may know that thou Jehovah art God, and [that] thou hast turned their heart back again.
൩൭യഹോവേ, എനിക്ക് ഉത്തരമരുളേണമേ; അവിടുന്ന് തന്നേ ദൈവം എന്നും അവിടുന്ന് തങ്ങളുടെ ഹൃദയങ്ങളെ വീണ്ടും അങ്ങയിലേക്ക് തിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നും ഈ ജനം അറിയേണ്ടതിന് എനിക്ക് ഉത്തരമരുളേണമേ” എന്ന് പറഞ്ഞു.
38 And the fire of Jehovah fell, and consumed the burnt-offering, and the wood, and the stones, and the dust, and licked up the water that was in the trench.
൩൮ഉടനെ യഹോവയുടെ തീ ഇറങ്ങി ഹോമയാഗവും വിറകും മണ്ണും ദഹിപ്പിച്ച് തോട്ടിലെ വെള്ളവും വറ്റിച്ചുകളഞ്ഞു.
39 And all the people saw [it], and they fell on their faces and said, Jehovah, he is God! Jehovah, he is God!
൩൯ജനം എല്ലാം അത് കണ്ട് കവിണ്ണുവീണ്: ‘യഹോവ തന്നേ ദൈവം, യഹോവ തന്നേ ദൈവം’ എന്ന് പറഞ്ഞു.
40 And Elijah said to them, Seize the prophets of Baal; let not one of them escape! And they seized them; and Elijah brought them down to the torrent of Kishon, and slaughtered them there.
൪൦ഏലീയാവ് അവരോട്: “ബാലിന്റെ പ്രവാചകന്മാരെ പിടിപ്പിൻ; അവരിൽ ഒരുത്തനും രക്ഷപെടരുത്” എന്ന് പറഞ്ഞു. അവർ അവരെ പിടിച്ചു; ഏലീയാവ് അവരെ താഴെ കീശോൻ തോട്ടിനരികെ കൊണ്ടുചെന്ന് അവിടെവെച്ച് കൊന്നുകളഞ്ഞു.
41 And Elijah said to Ahab, Go up, eat and drink; for there is a sound of abundance of rain.
൪൧പിന്നെ ഏലീയാവ് ആഹാബിനോട്: “നീ ചെന്ന് ഭക്ഷിച്ച് പാനം ചെയ്യുക; വലിയ മഴയുടെ മുഴക്കം ഉണ്ട്” എന്ന് പറഞ്ഞു.
42 And Ahab went up to eat and to drink. And Elijah went up to the top of Carmel; and he bowed down on the earth, and put his face between his knees.
൪൨ആഹാബ് ഭക്ഷിച്ച് പാനം ചെയ്യേണ്ടതിന് പോയി. ഏലീയാവോ കർമ്മേൽ പർവ്വതത്തിന്റെ മുകളിൽ കയറി മുഖം തന്റെ മുഴങ്കാലുകളുടെ നടുവിൽ വെച്ച് കുനിഞ്ഞിരുന്നു; അവൻ തന്റെ ബാല്യക്കാരനോട്:
43 And he said to his servant, Go up now, look toward the sea. And he went up and looked, and said, [There is] nothing. And he said, Go again seven times.
൪൩“നീ ചെന്ന് കടലിന് നേരെ നോക്കുക” എന്ന് പറഞ്ഞു. അവൻ ചെന്ന് നോക്കീട്ട്: ‘ഒന്നും ഇല്ല’ എന്ന് പറഞ്ഞു. അതിന് അവൻ: ‘വീണ്ടും ചെല്ലുക’ എന്ന് ഏഴു പ്രാവശ്യം പറഞ്ഞു.
44 And it came to pass at the seventh time that he said, Behold there is a cloud, small as a man's hand, arising out of the sea. And he said, Go up, say to Ahab, Harness and go down, that the pour of rain stop thee not.
൪൪ഏഴാം പ്രാവശ്യമോ അവൻ: ‘ഇതാ, കടലിൽനിന്ന് ഒരു മനുഷ്യന്റെ കൈപോലെ ഒരു ചെറിയ മേഘം പൊങ്ങുന്നു’ എന്ന് പറഞ്ഞു. അതിന് അവൻ: “നീ ചെന്ന് ‘മഴ നിന്നെ തടഞ്ഞുനിർത്താതിരിക്കേണ്ടതിന് രഥം പൂട്ടി ഇറങ്ങിപ്പോകാൻ’ ആഹാബിനോട് പറയുക” എന്ന് പറഞ്ഞു.
45 And it came to pass in the mean while, that the heavens became black [with] clouds and wind, and there was a great pour of rain. And Ahab got on the chariot, and went to Jizreel.
൪൫ഉടനെ ആകാശം മേഘങ്ങൾ കൊണ്ട് കറുത്ത് വന്മഴ പെയ്തു. ആഹാബ് രഥം കയറി യിസ്രായേലിലേക്ക് പോയി.
46 And the hand of Jehovah was upon Elijah; and he girded up his loins, and ran before Ahab to the entrance of Jizreel.
൪൬എന്നാൽ യഹോവയുടെ കൈ ഏലീയാവിന്മേൽ വന്നു; അവൻ അര മുറുക്കി യിസ്രായേലിൽ എത്തുംവരെ ആഹാബിന് മുമ്പായി ഓടി.
