Titus 2
1 But you are to speak the things that befit sound doctrine.
A ti govori što pristoji zdravoj nauci:
2 Old men should be sober, chaste, prudent, sound in faith, in love, in patience.
Starcima da budu trijezni, pošteni, èisti, zdravi u vjeri, u ljubavi, u trpljenju;
3 Old women, similarly, should be in holy attire, not false accusers, not given to much wine, teaching well,
Staricama takoðer da žive kao što se pristoji svetima, da ne budu opadljive, da se ne predaju vrlo vinu, da uèe dobru,
4 so that they may teach prudence to the young women, so that they may love their husbands, love their children,
Da uèe mlade da ljube muževe, da ljube djecu,
5 be sensible, chaste, restrained, have concern for the household, be kind, be subordinate to their husbands: so that the Word of God may be not blasphemed.
Da budu poštene, èiste, dobre kuæanice, blage, pokorne svojijem muževima, da se ne huli na rijeè Božiju.
6 Exhort young men similarly, so that they may show self-restraint.
Tako i mladiæe svjetuj da budu pošteni.
7 In all things, present yourself as an example of good works: in doctrine, with integrity, with seriousness,
A u svemu sam sebe podaji za ugled dobrijeh djela, u nauci cijelost, poštenje,
8 with sound words, irreproachably, so that he who is an opponent may dread that he has nothing evil to say about us.
Rijeè zdravu, nezazornu: da se posrami onaj koji se protivi, ne imajuæi ništa zlo govoriti za nas.
9 Exhort servants to be submissive to their masters, in all things pleasing, not contradicting,
Sluge da slušaju svoje gospodare, da budu ugodni u svaèemu, da ne odgovaraju,
10 not cheating, but in all things showing good fidelity, so that they may adorn the doctrine of God our Savior in all things.
Da ne kradu, nego u svaèemu da pokazuju dobru vjeru, da nauku spasitelja našega Boga ukrašuju u svaèemu.
11 For the grace of God our Savior has appeared to all men,
Jer se pokaza blagodat Božija koja spasava sve ljude,
12 instructing us to reject impiety and worldly desires, so that we may live soberly and justly and piously in this age, (aiōn g165)
Uèeæi nas da se odreèemo bezbožnosti i želja ovoga svijeta, i da pošteno i pravedno i pobožno poživimo na ovome svijetu, (aiōn g165)
13 looking forward to the blessed hope and the advent of the glory of the great God and of our Savior Jesus Christ.
Èekajuæi blažena nada i javljenja slave velikoga Boga i spasa našega Isusa Hrista,
14 He gave himself for our sake, so that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and might cleanse for himself an acceptable people, pursuers of good works.
Koji je dao sebe za nas da nas izbavi od svakoga bezakonja, i da oèisti sebi narod izbrani koji èezne za dobrijem djelima.
15 Speak and exhort and argue these things with all authority. Let no one despise you.
Ovo govori, i svjetuj, i karaj sa svakom zapoviješæu da te niko ne prezire.
