< Psalms 76 >

1 Unto the end. With Praises. A Psalm of Asaph. A Canticle to the Assyrians. In Judea, God is known. In Israel, his name is great.
Ki he Takimuʻa ʻi he Nekina, ko e Saame pe ko e Hiva ʻa ʻAsafi. ‌ʻOku ʻilo ʻae ʻOtua ʻi Siuta: ʻOku lahi hono huafa ʻi ʻIsileli.
2 And his place has been formed with peace. And his dwelling place is in Zion.
‌ʻOku ʻi Selemi foki hono fale fehikitaki, mo hono ʻafioʻanga ʻi Saione.
3 In that place, he has broken the powers of the bows, the shield, the sword, and the battle.
Naʻe fesifesi ʻe ia ʻi ai ʻae ngaahi ngahau ʻoe kaufana, ʻae fakaū, mo e heletā, mo e tau. (Sila)
4 You illuminate wondrously from the mountains of eternity.
‌ʻOku ke nāunauʻia mo lelei lahi hake ʻa koe ʻi he ngaahi moʻunga ʻoe fakamālohi.
5 All the foolish of heart have been disturbed. They have slept their sleep, and all the men of riches have found nothing in their hands.
Kuo ikuna ʻae kau loto mālohi, kuo nau mohe ʻi heʻenau mohe: pea ʻoku ʻikai ha tokotaha ʻi he kau tangata mālohi ʻoku ʻilo honau nima.
6 At your rebuke, O God of Jacob, those who were mounted on horseback have fallen asleep.
‌ʻE ʻOtua ʻo Sēkope, ʻi hoʻo tautea kuo ke lī fakatouʻosi pē ʻae saliote mo e hoosi ki he mohe ʻoe mate.
7 You are terrible, and so, who can withstand you? From thence is your wrath.
Ko koe, ʻio, ko koe, ko e manavahēʻia: pea ko hai ʻe faʻa tuʻu ʻi ho ʻao ʻoka ke ka houhau?
8 You have caused judgment to be heard from heaven. The earth trembled and was quieted,
Naʻa ke fakaongoʻi ʻae fakamaau mei he langi; naʻe manavahē ai ʻa māmani, ʻo tuʻu taʻengaue,
9 when God rose up in judgment in order to bring salvation to all the meek of the earth.
‌ʻI he tuʻu hake ʻae ʻOtua ki he fakamaau, ke fakamoʻui ʻae kau angavaivai kotoa pē ʻo māmani. (Sila)
10 For the thinking of man will confess to you, and the legacy of his thinking will keep a feast day to you.
Ko e moʻoni ʻe fakaongolelei koe ʻe he ʻita ʻae tangata: pea ko hono toe ʻoe ʻita te ke lolomi.
11 Make vows and pay them to the Lord, your God. All you who surround him bring gifts: to him who is terrible,
Mou fuakava, ʻo fai ia kia Sihova ko homou ʻOtua: tuku ke ʻomi ʻae ngaahi meʻaʻofa kiate ia ʻoku totonu ke manavahē ki ai, ʻakinautolu kotoa pē ʻoku nofo ʻo takatakai ia.
12 even to him who takes away the spirit of leaders, to him who is terrible with the kings of the earth.
‌ʻE motuhi ʻe ia ʻae loto lahi ʻoe houʻeiki: ʻoku fakailifia ia ki he ngaahi tuʻi ʻo māmani.
