Psalms 62
1 Unto the end. For Jeduthun. A Psalm of David. Will my soul not be subject to God? For from him is my salvation.
Dem Vorsänger; für Jeduthun. Ein Psalm von David. Nur auf Gott vertraut still meine Seele, von ihm kommt meine Rettung.
2 Yes, he himself is my God and my salvation. He is my supporter; I will be moved no more.
Nur er ist mein Fels und meine Rettung, meine hohe Feste; ich werde nicht viel wanken.
3 How is it that you rush against a man? Every one of you puts to death, as if you were pulling down a ruined wall, leaning over and falling apart.
Bis wann wollt ihr gegen einen Mann anstürmen, ihr alle ihn niederreißen wie eine überhängende Wand, eine angestoßene Mauer?
4 So, truly, they intended to reject my price. I ran in thirst. They blessed with their mouth and cursed with their heart.
Sie ratschlagen nur, ihn von seiner Höhe zu stoßen; sie haben Wohlgefallen an der Lüge; mit ihrem Munde segnen sie, und in ihrem Innern fluchen sie. (Sela)
5 Yet, truly, my soul will be subject to God. For from him is my patience.
Nur auf Gott vertraue still meine Seele! Denn von ihm kommt meine Erwartung.
6 For he is my God and my Savior. He is my helper; I will not be expelled.
Nur er ist mein Fels und meine Rettung, meine hohe Feste; ich werde nicht wanken.
7 In God is my salvation and my glory. He is the God of my help, and my hope is in God.
Auf Gott ruht mein Heil und meine Herrlichkeit; der Fels meiner Stärke, meine Zuflucht, ist in Gott.
8 All peoples gathered together: trust in him. Pour out your hearts in his sight. God is our helper for eternity.
Vertrauet auf ihn allezeit, o Volk! Schüttet vor ihm aus euer Herz! Gott ist unsere Zuflucht. (Sela)
9 So, truly, the sons of men are untrustworthy. The sons of men are liars in the scales, so that, by emptiness, they may deceive among themselves.
Nur Eitelkeit sind die Menschensöhne, Lüge die Männersöhne. Auf der Waagschale steigen sie empor, sie sind allesamt leichter als ein Hauch.
10 Do not trust in iniquity, and do not desire plunder. If riches flow toward you, do not be willing to set your heart on them.
Vertrauet nicht auf Erpressung, und setzet nicht eitle Hoffnung auf Raub; wenn der Reichtum wächst, so setzet euer Herz nicht darauf!
11 God has spoken once. I have heard two things: that power belongs to God,
Einmal hat Gott geredet, zweimal habe ich dieses gehört, daß die Stärke Gottes sei.
12 and that mercy belongs to you, O Lord. For you will repay each one according to his works.
Und dein, o Herr, ist die Güte; denn du, du vergiltst einem jeden nach seinem Werke.
