Psalms 36

1 Unto the end. To the servant of the Lord, David himself. The unjust one has said within himself that he would commit offenses. There is no fear of God before his eyes.

En Psalm Davids, Herrans tjenares, till att föresjunga. Jag säger i sanningene, att de ogudaktige arge skalkar äro; ty när dem är ingen Gudsfruktan.

2 For he has acted deceitfully in his sight, such that his iniquity will be found to be hatred.

De rosa hvarannan inbördes, att de måga främja sina onda saker, och skämma andra.

3 The words of his mouth are iniquity and deceit. He is unwilling to understand, so that he may act well.

All deras lära är skadelig och lögn; de låta ock intet undervisa sig, att de måtte något godt göra;

4 He has been considering iniquity on his bed. He has set himself on every way that is not good; moreover, he has not hated evil.

Utan de tänka till skada på deras säng; och stå faste på den onda vägen, och sky för intet ondt.

5 Lord, your mercy is in heaven, and your truth is even to the clouds.

Herre, din godhet räcker så vidt som himmelen är, och din sanning så vidt som skyarna gå.

6 Your justice is like the mountains of God. Your judgments are a great abyss. Men and beasts, you will save, O Lord.

Din rättfärdighet står såsom Guds berg, och dine rätter såsom stor djup. Herre, du hjelper både menniskom och fänad.

7 How you have multiplied your mercy, O God! And so the sons of men will hope under the cover of your wings.

Huru dyr är din godhet, Gud, att menniskors barn tröst hafva under dina vingars skugga!

8 They will be inebriated with the fruitfulness of your house, and you will give them to drink from the torrent of your enjoyment.

De varda druckne utaf dins hus rika håfvor, och du skänker dem med vällust, såsom med enom ström.

9 For with you is the fountain of life; and within your light, we will see the light.

Ty när dig är en lefvandes källa, och i dino ljuse se vi ljus.

10 Extend your mercy before those who know you, and your justice to these, who are upright in heart.

Utbred dina godhet öfver dem som känna dig, och dina rättfärdighet öfver de fromma.

11 May arrogant feet not approach me, and may the hand of the sinner not disturb me.

Låt mig icke undertrampad varda af de stolta, och de ogudaktigas hand omstörte mig icke;

12 In that place, those who work iniquity have fallen. They have been expelled; they were not able to stand.

Utan låt de ogerningsmän der falla, att de måga bortdrifne varda, och icke bestå kunna.
