Psalms 16
1 The inscription of a title: of David himself. Preserve me, O Lord, because I have hoped in you.
| مکتوم داود ای خدا مرا محافظت فرما، زیرا برتوتوکل می‌دارم. | ۱ |
2 I have said to the Lord: “You are my God, so you have no need of my goodness.”
| خداوند را گفتم: «توخداوند من هستی. نیکویی من نیست غیر از تو.» | ۲ |
3 As for the saints, who are in his land: he has made all my desires wonderful in them.
| و اما مقدسانی که در زمین‌اند و فاضلان، تمامی خوشی من در ایشان است. | ۳ |
4 Their infirmities have been multiplied; after this, they acted more quickly. I will not gather for their convocations of blood, nor will I remember their names with my lips.
| دردهای آنانی که عقب (خدای ) دیگر می‌شتابند، بسیار خواهدشد. هدایای خونی‌ایشان را نخواهم ریخت، بلکه نام ایشان را به زبانم نخواهم آورد. | ۴ |
5 The Lord is the portion of my inheritance and my cup. It is you who will restore my inheritance to me.
| خداوند نصیب قسمت و کاسه من است. توقرعه مرا نگاه می‌داری. | ۵ |
6 The lots have fallen upon me with clarity. And, indeed, my inheritance has been very clear to me.
| خطه های من به‌جایهای خوش افتاد. میراث بهی به من رسیده است. | ۶ |
7 I will bless the Lord, who has bestowed understanding upon me. Moreover, my temperament has also corrected me, even through the night.
| خداوند را که مرا نصیحت نمود، متبارک می‌خوانم. شبانگاه نیز قلبم مرا تنبیه می‌کند. | ۷ |
8 I have made provision for the Lord always in my sight. For he is at my right hand, so that I may not be disturbed.
| خداوند را همیشه پیش روی خود می‌دارم. چونکه به‌دست راست من است، جنبش نخواهم خورد. | ۸ |
9 Because of this, my heart has been joyful, and my tongue has exulted. Moreover, even my body will rest in hope.
| از این‌رو دلم شادی می‌کند و جلالم به وجد می‌آید؛ جسدم نیز در اطمینان ساکن خواهدشد. | ۹ |
10 For you will not abandon my soul to Hell, nor will you allow your holy one to see corruption. (Sheol h7585)
| زیرا جانم را در عالم اموات ترک نخواهی کرد، و قدوس خود را نخواهی گذاشت که فسادرا بیند. (Sheol h7585) | ۱۰ |
11 You have made known to me the ways of life; you will fill me with joy by your countenance. At your right hand are delights, even to the end.
| طریق حیات را به من خواهی آموخت. به حضور تو کمال خوشی است و به‌دست راست تو لذت‌ها تا ابدالاباد! | ۱۱ |
