< Proverbs 2 >

1 My son, if you would accept my words, and conceal my commandments within you,
Mwana wanga, ngati ulandira mawu anga ndi kusunga malamulo anga mu mtima mwako,
2 so that your ears may listen to wisdom, then bend your heart in order to know prudence.
ndiponso kutchera khutu lako ku nzeru ndi kuyikapo mtima pa kumvetsa zinthu;
3 For if you would call upon wisdom and bend your heart to prudence,
ngati upempha kuti uzindikire zinthu inde kupempha ndi mtima wonse kuti ukhale womvetsa zinthu,
4 if you will seek her like money, and dig for her as if for treasure,
ngati ufunafuna nzeruyo ngati siliva ndi kuyisakasaka ngati chuma chobisika,
5 then you will understand the fear of the Lord, and you will discover the knowledge of God.
ndiye udzamvetsa bwino tanthauzo la kuopa Yehova; ndipo udzapezanso tanthauzo la kumudziwa Yehova.
6 For the Lord bestows wisdom, and out of his mouth, prudence and knowledge.
Pakuti Yehova ndiye amapereka nzeru, ndipo mʼkamwa mwake mumachokera chidziwitso ndi kumvetsa zinthu.
7 He will preserve the salvation of the righteous, and he will protect those who walk in simplicity:
Anthu olungama zinthu zimawayendera bwino chifukwa Yehova amakhala nawo. Paja Yehova ndiye chishango cha amene amayenda mwangwiro,
8 serving the paths of justice, and guarding the ways of sanctity.
pakuti ndiye mlonda wa njira zolungama. Iye amasamala mayendedwe a anthu ake okhulupirika.
9 Then you shall understand justice and judgment, and equity, and every good path.
Choncho udzamvetsa tanthauzo la ungwiro, chilungamo, kusakondera ndi njira iliyonse yabwino.
10 If wisdom is to enter into your heart, and if knowledge is to become pleasing to your soul,
Pakuti nzeru idzalowa mu mtima mwako, kudziwa zinthu kudzakusangalatsa.
11 then counsel must guard you, and prudence must serve you,
Kuganizira bwino za mʼtsogolo kudzakusunga; kumvetsa zinthu bwino kudzakuteteza.
12 so that you may be rescued from the evil way, and from the man who speaks perversities,
Nzeru idzakupulumutsa ku mayendedwe oyipa, kwa anthu amabodza,
13 from those who leave the straight path to walk in dark ways,
amene amasiya njira zolungama namayenda mʼnjira zamdima,
14 who rejoice when they have done evil, and who exult in the most wicked things.
amene amakondwera pochita zoyipa namasangalala ndi kuyipa kwa ntchito zawo zonyansa.
15 Their ways are perverse, and their steps are infamous.
Amenewa ndi anthu a njira zawo zokhotakhota, ndipo makhalidwe awo ndi achinyengo.
16 So may you be rescued from the foreign woman, and from the outsider, who softens her speech,
Nzeruyo idzakupulumutsanso kwa mkazi wachigololo; kwa mkazi wachilendo woyankhula moshashalika,
17 and who leaves behind the Guide of her youth,
amene wasiya mwamuna wa chitsikana wake ndi kuyiwala pangano limene anachita pamaso pa Mulungu wake.
18 and who has forgotten the covenant of her God. For her household inclines toward death, and her paths toward Hell. (questioned)
Pakuti nyumba yake imatsetserekera ku imfa; njira zake zimamufikitsa ku manda.
19 All those who enter to her will not return again, nor will they take hold of the paths of life.
Opita kwa iye palibe ndi mmodzi yemwe amabwerera kapena kupezanso njira zamoyo.
20 So may you walk in the good way, and keep to the difficult paths of the just.
Choncho iwe uziyenda mʼnjira za anthu abwino, uzitsata njira za anthu ochita chilungamo.
21 For those who are upright shall live upon the earth, and the simple shall continue upon it.
Pakuti anthu olungama ndiwo ati adzakhale mʼdziko ndipo anthu angwiro ndiwo ati adzakhazikike mʼmenemo;
22 Yet truly, the impious shall perish from the earth, and those who act unjustly shall be taken away from it.
Koma anthu oyipa adzachotsedwa mʼdzikomo, ndipo anthu onyenga adzachotsedwamo.
