Philemon 1

1 Paul, a prisoner of Christ Jesus, and Timothy, a brother, to Philemon, our beloved fellow laborer,

ക്രിസ്തുയേശുവിന്റെ സുവിശേഷം പ്രസംഗിച്ചതിനാൽ തടവുകാരനായ പൗലോസും നമ്മുടെ സഹോദരനായ തിമോത്തിയോസും ചേർന്ന്, ഞങ്ങളുടെ പ്രിയസ്നേഹിതനും സഹപ്രവർത്തകനുമായ ഫിലേമോൻ എന്ന നിനക്കും

2 and to Apphia, most beloved sister, and to Archippus, our fellow soldier, and to the church which is in your house.

ഞങ്ങളുടെ സഹോദരിയായ അപ്പിയെക്കും ഞങ്ങളുടെ സഹസൈനികനായ അർഹിപ്പൊസിനും നിന്റെ ഭവനത്തിൽ കൂടിവരുന്ന സഭയ്ക്കും, എഴുതുന്നത്:

3 Grace and peace to you, from God our Father and from the Lord Jesus Christ.

നമ്മുടെ പിതാവായ ദൈവത്തിൽനിന്നും കർത്താവായ യേശുക്രിസ്തുവിൽനിന്നും നിങ്ങൾക്കു കൃപയും സമാധാനവും ഉണ്ടാകുമാറാകട്ടെ.

4 I give thanks to my God, always keeping remembrance of you in my prayers,

കർത്താവായ യേശുവിൽ നിനക്കുള്ള വിശ്വാസത്തെയും സകലവിശുദ്ധരോടുമുള്ള നിന്റെ സ്നേഹത്തെയുംകുറിച്ചു കേട്ടിട്ട് ഞാൻ എന്റെ ദൈവത്തിന് എപ്പോഴും സ്തോത്രംചെയ്യുന്നു. ക്രിസ്തുയേശുവിൽക്കൂടെ നമുക്കു ലഭിച്ചിട്ടുള്ള സകലനന്മകളെയുംപറ്റിയുള്ള പൂർണമായ അറിവിൽ നിന്റെ വിശ്വാസത്തിന്റെ കൂട്ടായ്മ അധികം ഫലപ്രദമാകേണ്ടതിന് ഞാൻ നിന്നെ ഓർത്തു പ്രാർഥിക്കുന്നു

5 (for I am hearing of your charity and faith, which you have in the Lord Jesus and with all the saints)

6 so that the participation of your faith may become evident by the recognition of every good work which is in you in Christ Jesus.

7 For I have found great joy and consolation in your charity, because the hearts of the saints have been refreshed by you, brother.

സഹോദരാ, നീ വിശ്വാസികളുടെ ഹൃദയത്തിന് നവോന്മേഷം പകർന്നതിനാൽ, നിനക്ക് അവരോടുള്ള സ്നേഹം എനിക്കു മഹാ ആനന്ദവും ആശ്വാസവും തന്നിരിക്കുന്നു.

8 Because of this, I have enough confidence in Christ Jesus to command you concerning certain things,

ആകയാൽ, നീ ചെയ്യേണ്ട കാര്യം നിന്നോടു കൽപ്പിക്കാൻ ക്രിസ്തുവിൽ എനിക്കു ധൈര്യമുണ്ടെങ്കിലും;

9 but I beg you instead, for the sake of charity, since you are so much like Paul: an old man and now also a prisoner of Jesus Christ.

വൃദ്ധനും ഇപ്പോൾ ക്രിസ്തുയേശുവിന്റെ തടവുകാരനുമായ പൗലോസ് എന്ന ഞാൻ,

10 I beg you, on behalf of my son, whom I have begotten in my chains, Onesimus.

കാരാഗൃഹത്തിൽ ആയിരിക്കുമ്പോൾ ജനിച്ച എന്റെ മകൻ ഒനേസിമൊസിനു വേണ്ടി സ്നേഹത്തോടെ നിന്നോട് അപേക്ഷിക്കുകയാണ്.

11 In times past, he was useless to you, but now he is useful both to me and to you.

മുമ്പ് അവൻ നിനക്കു പ്രയോജനമില്ലാത്തവൻ ആയിരുന്നു; എന്നാൽ, ഇപ്പോൾ നിനക്കും എനിക്കും പ്രയോജനമുള്ളവൻ ആയിരിക്കുന്നു.

12 So I have sent him back to you. And may you receive him like my own heart.

എന്റെ പ്രാണനു തുല്യനായ ഒനേസിമൊസിനെ ഇപ്പോൾ നിന്റെ അടുക്കലേക്കു തിരിച്ചയയ്ക്കുന്നു.

13 I myself wanted to retain him with me, so that he might minister to me, on your behalf, while I am in the chains of the Gospel.

സുവിശേഷത്തിനുവേണ്ടി ബന്ധനത്തിൽ കഴിയുന്ന എന്നെ ശുശ്രൂഷിക്കാൻ നിനക്കുപകരം അവനെ എന്റെ അടുക്കൽ നിർത്താൻ എനിക്ക് ആഗ്രഹമുണ്ടായിരുന്നു.

14 But I was willing to do nothing without your counsel, so as not to make use of your good deed as if out of necessity, but only willingly.

നീ ചെയ്യുന്ന ഏത് ഔദാര്യവും നിർബന്ധത്താലല്ല, മനസ്സോടെ ചെയ്യുന്നതായിരിക്കണം. അതുകൊണ്ടാണ്, നിന്റെ സമ്മതംകൂടാതെ ഒന്നുംതന്നെ ചെയ്യാൻ ഞാൻ ആഗ്രഹിക്കാത്തത്.

15 So perhaps, then, he departed from you for a time, so that you might receive him again for eternity, (aiōnios g166)

അൽപ്പകാലത്തേക്ക് ഒനേസിമൊസ് നിന്നിൽനിന്ന് അകന്നുപോയത്, അയാളെ എന്നേക്കുമായി നിനക്കു തിരിച്ചുകിട്ടേണ്ടതിന് ആയിരിക്കാം. (aiōnios g166)

16 no longer as a servant, but, in place of a servant, a most beloved brother, especially to me: but how much more to you, both in the flesh and in the Lord!

ഒനേസിമൊസ് ഇനിമേൽ ദാസനല്ല, ദാസനിലുപരി എനിക്ക് ഏറ്റവും പ്രിയമുള്ള സഹോദരനാണ്. അങ്ങനെയെങ്കിൽ മാനുഷികമായും കർത്താവിലും അയാൾ നിനക്ക് എത്രയധികം പ്രിയപ്പെട്ടവൻ!

17 Therefore, if you hold me to be a companion, receive him as you would me.

അതുകൊണ്ട്, എന്നെ ഒരു പങ്കാളിയായി നീ കരുതുന്നെങ്കിൽ, എന്നെ എന്നപോലെ അവനെയും സ്വീകരിക്കുക.

18 But if he has harmed you in any way, or if he is in your debt, charge it to me.

അയാൾ നിനക്ക് എന്തെങ്കിലും ദ്രോഹം ചെയ്തിട്ടുണ്ടെങ്കിലോ നിനക്ക് എന്തെങ്കിലും തരാൻ ഉണ്ടെങ്കിലോ അതെല്ലാം എന്റെ പേരിൽ കണക്കാക്കുക.

19 I, Paul, have written this with my own hand: I will repay. And I need not tell you, that you are also in debt yourself, to me.

പൗലോസ് എന്ന ഞാൻ എന്റെ സ്വന്തം കൈയാൽ എഴുതുകയാണ്, ഈ കടമെല്ലാം ഞാൻതന്നെ വീട്ടിക്കൊള്ളാം. നീ നിന്നെത്തന്നെ എനിക്കു തരാൻ കടപ്പെട്ടവനാണെന്ന് ഞാൻ പറയേണ്ടതില്ലല്ലോ.

20 So it is, brother. May I delight with you in the Lord! Refresh my heart in Christ.

അതേ, സഹോദരാ, കർത്താവിൽ നീ എനിക്ക് ഈ സഹായംചെയ്യുക. അതാണ് ക്രിസ്തുവിൽ എന്നെ ഉന്മേഷമുള്ളവനാക്കുന്നത്.

21 I have written to you, trusting in your obedience, knowing, too, that you will do even more than what I say.

ഞാൻ ആവശ്യപ്പെടുന്നതിലധികം നീ ചെയ്യും എന്നെനിക്കറിയാം. നിന്റെ അനുസരണയെപ്പറ്റി എനിക്കു പൂർണവിശ്വാസം ഉള്ളതുകൊണ്ടാണ് ഞാൻ ഇതെഴുതുന്നത്.

22 But also, at once, prepare a lodging for me. For I am hoping, through your prayers, to present myself to you.

മറ്റൊരു കാര്യംകൂടി: നിങ്ങളുടെ പ്രാർഥനയുടെ ഫലമായി ദൈവം എന്നെ നിങ്ങളുടെ അടുത്തേക്കയയ്ക്കും എന്നു ഞാൻ പ്രത്യാശിക്കുന്നു. അതുകൊണ്ട് നീ എനിക്കു താമസസൗകര്യം ഒരുക്കണം.

23 Greet Epaphras, my fellow captive in Christ Jesus,

ക്രിസ്തുയേശുവിൽ എന്റെ സഹതടവുകാരനായ എപ്പഫ്രാസ് നിങ്ങളെ വന്ദനംചെയ്യുന്നു.

24 and Mark, Aristarchus, Demas, and Luke, my helpers.

അങ്ങനെതന്നെ എന്റെ കൂട്ടുവേലക്കാരനായ മർക്കോസും അരിസ്തർഹൊസും ദേമാസും ലൂക്കോസും നിങ്ങളെ അഭിവാദനംചെയ്യുന്നു.

25 May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit. Amen.

കർത്താവായ യേശുക്രിസ്തുവിന്റെ കൃപ നിങ്ങളുടെ ആത്മാവോടുകൂടെ ഇരിക്കുമാറാകട്ടെ.
