Philemon 1
1 Paul, a prisoner of Christ Jesus, and Timothy, a brother, to Philemon, our beloved fellow laborer,
キリスト、イエズスの囚人たるパウロ及び兄弟チモテオ、我等が愛する所の助力者フィレモン、最愛の姉妹たるアッピア、戰友たるアルキッポ、
2 and to Apphia, most beloved sister, and to Archippus, our fellow soldier, and to the church which is in your house.
及び汝の家に在る教會に[書簡を贈る]。
3 Grace and peace to you, from God our Father and from the Lord Jesus Christ.
願はくは我父にて在す神、及び主イエズス、キリストより、恩寵と平安とを汝等に賜はらん事を。
4 I give thanks to my God, always keeping remembrance of you in my prayers,
我は神に感謝し奉り、我祈の中に常に汝を記念し、主イエズス、キリストに於る、
5 (for I am hearing of your charity and faith, which you have in the Lord Jesus and with all the saints)
又凡ての聖徒に對する汝の愛と信仰とを聞きて、
6 so that the participation of your faith may become evident by the recognition of every good work which is in you in Christ Jesus.
キリスト、イエズスに對して我等の中に在る善業の悉く知渡れる事によりて、汝が信仰の施の有効ならん事を冀ふ。
7 For I have found great joy and consolation in your charity, because the hearts of the saints have been refreshed by you, brother.
兄弟よ、聖徒等の腸汝によりて安んぜられたるが故に、我は汝の愛に就きて大いなる喜と慰とを得たり。
8 Because of this, I have enough confidence in Christ Jesus to command you concerning certain things,
然ればキリスト、イエズスに於て、事に應じて為すべき所を命ずるは、我が敢て憚らざる所なりと雖も、
9 but I beg you instead, for the sake of charity, since you are so much like Paul: an old man and now also a prisoner of Jesus Christ.
寧愛に對して勧め、斯の如くなる我、即ち老人にして而も現にイエズス、キリストの囚人たるパウロ、
10 I beg you, on behalf of my son, whom I have begotten in my chains, Onesimus.
鎖に在りて生みし所の我子オネジモの為に汝に希ふ。
11 In times past, he was useless to you, but now he is useful both to me and to you.
彼は曾て汝に無益なりしかど、今は我にも汝にも有益なり、
12 So I have sent him back to you. And may you receive him like my own heart.
我は之を汝に送返す、願はくは汝我腸の如くに之を受けん事を。
13 I myself wanted to retain him with me, so that he might minister to me, on your behalf, while I am in the chains of the Gospel.
我は彼をして、汝に代りて福音の為に鎖に繋がるる我に仕へしむる様、我と共に留らしめん事を欲したれど、
14 But I was willing to do nothing without your counsel, so as not to make use of your good deed as if out of necessity, but only willingly.
汝に聞かずしては何事をも為すを好まざりき。是汝の善業をして、已むを得ざるが如くならず、篤志に由らしめんが為なり。
15 So perhaps, then, he departed from you for a time, so that you might receive him again for eternity, (aiōnios g166)
彼が一時汝を離れしは、或は汝が永遠に之を受けて、 (aiōnios g166)
16 no longer as a servant, but, in place of a servant, a most beloved brother, especially to me: but how much more to you, both in the flesh and in the Lord!
最早奴隷としてには非ず、奴隷に優りて至愛の兄弟と成さん為には非ずや。我には、殊に然ある者なれば、况て汝に取りては、肉身に於ても主に於ても然らん。
17 Therefore, if you hold me to be a companion, receive him as you would me.
然れば汝若我を友とせば、彼を承容るる事我に於るが如くせよ。
18 But if he has harmed you in any way, or if he is in your debt, charge it to me.
彼若汝に損害を與へ、或は負債あらば、之を我に負はせよ。
19 I, Paul, have written this with my own hand: I will repay. And I need not tell you, that you are also in debt yourself, to me.
我パウロ手づから書記せり、我必ず償ふべし。汝が己を以て我に償ふべき負債ある事は、我之を言はじ。
20 So it is, brother. May I delight with you in the Lord! Refresh my heart in Christ.
然り、兄弟よ、我は主に於て汝を樂しまん、請ふ主に於て我腸を安んぜしめよ。
21 I have written to you, trusting in your obedience, knowing, too, that you will do even more than what I say.
我汝の從順を信じ、其為さんとする所は我が言ふ所に優れるを知りて、汝に書贈れるなり。
22 But also, at once, prepare a lodging for me. For I am hoping, through your prayers, to present myself to you.
然て同時に我為に宿を備へよ、蓋我は我身の、汝等の祈によりて汝等に與へられん事を希望す。
23 Greet Epaphras, my fellow captive in Christ Jesus,
キリスト、イエズスに在りて我と共に囚人たるエパフラ、汝に宜しくと言へり。
24 and Mark, Aristarchus, Demas, and Luke, my helpers.
我助力者たるマルコ、アリスタルコ、デマス、ルカも亦同じ。
25 May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit. Amen.
願はくは我主イエズス、キリストの恩寵、汝等の霊と共に在らん事を、アメン。
