Isaiah 3
1 For behold, the sovereign Lord of hosts will take away, from Jerusalem and from Judah, the powerful and the strong: all the strength from bread, and all the strength from water;
Masdan ninyo, aalisin ng Panginoon, si Yahweh ng mga hukbo, ang mga tauhan at kawani ng Juda at Jerusalem; ang lahat ng pinagkukunan ng tinapay, at ang lahat ng pinagkukunan ng tubig;
2 the strong man, and the man of war, the judge and the prophet, and the seer and the elder;
ang magiting, ang mandirigma, ang hukom, ang propeta, ang manghuhula, ang nakatatanda,
3 the leader over fifty and the honorable in appearance; and the counselor, and the wise among builders, and the skillful in mystical speech.
ang kapitan ng limampu, ang tinitingalang mamamayan, ang tagapayo, ang dalubhasang mang-uukit, ang mahusay na mambabarang.
4 And I will provide children as their leaders, and the effeminate will rule over them.
“Magtatalaga ako ng mga kabataan bilang pinuno nila, at ang mga nakababata ang mamamahala sa kanila.
5 And the people will rush, man against man, and each one against his neighbor. The child shall rebel against the elder, and the ignoble against the noble.
Aapihin ang mga tao, bawat isa ng isa pa, at bawat isa ng kapwa nila; buong pagmamataas na tutuligsain ng bata ang nakatatanda, at hahamunin ng mga minamaliit ang mga kagalang-galang.
6 For a man will apprehend his brother, from the household of his own father, saying: “The vestment is yours. Be our leader, but let this ruin be under your hand.”
Kukunin maging ng isang lalaki ang kapatid niya mula sa bahay ng kaniyang ama at sasabihing, 'May balabal ka; pamunuan mo kami, at pangasiwaan mo ang kaguluhang ito.'
7 In that day, he will respond by saying: “I am not a healer, and there is no bread or vestment in my house. Do not choose to appoint me as a leader of the people.”
Sa araw na iyon, sisigaw siya at sasabihing, 'Hindi ako magiging manggagamot; wala akong tinapay ni damit. Hindi mo ako maaaring gawing tagapamahala ng mga tao.”
8 For Jerusalem is ruined, and Judah has fallen, because their words and their plans are against the Lord, in order to provoke the eyes of his majesty.
Sapagkat wasak na ang Jerusalem, at bumagsak ang Juda, dahil ang mga sinasabi nila at ang mga ginagawa nila ay laban kay Yahweh, pagsuway sa marangal niyang kapangyarihan.
9 The acknowledgement of their countenance is their response. For they have proclaimed their own sin, like Sodom; and they have not concealed it. Woe to their souls! For evils are being repaid to them.
Ang mga mukha nila ay tumetestigo laban sa kanila; at pinagsasasabi nila ang mga kasalanan nila gaya ng Sodom; hindi nila itinatago ito. Kaaawa-awa sila! Dahil nagdulot sila ng sakuna sa mga sarili nila.
10 Tell the just man that it is well, for he shall eat from the fruit from his own plans.
Sabihin mo sa matuwid na magiging maayos ang lahat sa kaniya; dahil kakainin niya ang bunga ng mga gawain niya.
11 Woe to the impious man immersed in evil! For retribution will be given to him from his own hands.
Kaawa-awa ang masasama! Mamalasin siya, dahil aanihin niya ang ginawa ng mga kamay niya.
12 As for my people, their oppressors have despoiled them, and women have ruled over them. My people, who call you blessed, the same are deceiving you and disrupting the path of your steps.
Bayan ko —mga bata ang nag-uusig, at ang mga babae ang namamahala sa kanila. Bayan ko, nililinlang kayo ng mga pinuno niyo at nililito ang direksyon ng inyong landas.
13 The Lord stands for judgment, and he stands to judge the people.
Tumatayo si Yahweh para humatol sa hukuman; tumatayo siya para hatulan ang kaniyang bayan.
14 The Lord will enter into judgment with the elders of his people, and with their leaders. For you have been devouring the vineyard, and the plunder from the poor is in your house.
Ibababa ni Yahweh ang hatol sa mga nakatatanda at sa mga opisyales ng kaniyang bayan: “Kinain niyo ang ubasan; ang mga nakaw sa mahihirap ay nasa inyong mga bahay.
15 Why do you wear down my people, and grind up the faces of the poor, says the Lord, the God of hosts?
Bakit niyo dinudurog ang mga tao at inginungudngod ang mukha ng mahihirap?” Ito ang pahayag ng Panginoon, si Yahweh ng mga hukbo.
16 And the Lord said: Because the daughters of Zion have been lifted up, and have walked with extended necks and winking eyes, because they have continued on, walking noisily and advancing with a pretentious stride,
Sinasabi ni Yahweh na hambog ang mga anak ng babae ni Sion at lumalakad sila nang nakatingala, nang-aakit gamit ang mga mata nila, kunwari'y mahinhing naglalakad, at pinatutunog ang mga palawit sa mga paa nila.
17 the Lord will make the heads of the daughters of Zion bald, and the Lord will strip them of the locks of their hair.
Kaya bibigyan ng Diyos ng galis ang mga anak na babae ni Sion, at kakalbuhin sila ni Yahweh.
18 In that day, the Lord will take away their decorative shoes,
Sa araw na iyon, aalisin ng Panginoon ang magaganda nilang mga alahas sa paa, mga panali nila ng buhok, mga agimat,
19 and the little moons and chains, and the necklaces and bracelets, and the hats,
mga hikaw, mga pulseras at mga belo,
20 and the ornaments for their hair, and the anklets, and the touches of myrrh and little bottles of perfumes, and the earrings,
mga panakip ng ulo, mga kadena sa paa, ang mga laso, at kahong-kahong pabango at mga pampaswerteng palamuti.
21 and the rings, and the jewels hanging on their foreheads,
Aalisin niya ang mga singsing nila at mga alahas sa ilong;
22 and the continual changes in appearance, and the short skirts, and the fine linens and embroidered cloths,
ang mga pangpistang balabal, ang mantel, ang belo, at ang mga sisidlan,
23 and the mirrors, and scarves, and ribbons, and their sparse clothing.
ang salamin, ang magandang lino, ang mga palamuti sa ulo at mga pambalot.
24 And in place of a sweet fragrance, there will be stench. And in place of a belt, there will be a rope. And in place of stylish hair, there will be baldness. And in place of a blouse, there will be haircloth.
Sa halip na matamis na pabango, magkakaroon ng masangsang na amoy, at sa halip na laso ay lubid, sa halip na buhok na maganda ang gupit ay pagkakalbo, at sa halip na balabal ay panakip sa sako, at kahihiyan sa halip na kagandahan.
25 Likewise, your most handsome men will fall by the sword, and your strong men will fall in battle.
Mamamatay ang inyong mga kalalakihan sa espada, at ang malalakas niyong kalalakihan ay babagsak sa digmaan.
26 And her gates will grieve and mourn. And she will sit on the ground, desolate.
Ang tarangkahan ng Jerusalem ay magluluksa at maghihinagpis, at mag-isa siyang uupo sa lupa.
