Isaiah 24

1 Behold, the Lord will lay waste to the earth, and he will strip it, and he will afflict its surface, and he will scatter its inhabitants.

Masdan, malapit nang ubusin ni Yahweh ang laman ng mundo, para sirain ito, dungisan ang ibabaw nito, at ikalat ang mga naninirahan dito.

2 And this shall be: as with the people, so with the priest; and as with the servant, so with his master; as with the handmaid, so with her mistress; as with the buyer, so with the seller; as with the lender, so with the borrower; as with the creditor, so with the debtor.

Mangyayari ito, sa mga tao, ganun din sa mga pari; sa mga lingkod, ganun din sa kaniyang amo; sa mga katulong na babae, ganun din sa kaniyang among babae; sa mga mamimimili, ganun din sa nagbebenta; sa mga pinagkakautangan, ganun din sa mga nangungutang; sa mga tumatanggap ng tubo, ganun din sa mga tagapagbigay ng tubo.

3 The earth will be utterly devastated and utterly plundered. For the Lord has spoken this word.

Ganap na masisira ang mundo at ganap na huhubaran; dahil sinabi na ni Yahweh ang salitang ito.

4 The earth mourned, and slipped away, and languished. The world slipped away; the loftiness of the people of the earth was weakened.

Manunuyo at malalanta ang mundo, mabubulok at maglalaho ang mundo, mabubulok ang mga kilalang tao sa lupa.

5 And the earth was corrupted by its inhabitants. For they have transgressed the laws, they have changed the ordinance, they have dissipated the everlasting covenant.

Ang mundo ay narumihan dahil sinuway ng mga naninirahan dito ang mga batas, nilabag ang mga kautusan, at winasak ang walang hanggang tipan.

6 Because of this, a curse will devour the earth, and its inhabitants will sin. And for this reason, its caretakers will become crazed, and few men will be left behind.

Kaya nilamon ng sumpa ang mundo, at napatunayan na ang naninirahan dito ay maysala. Sinunog ang mga naninirahan sa mundo, at kaunting tao lang ang natira.

7 The vintage has mourned. The vine has languished. All those who were rejoicing in their hearts have groaned.

Natuyo ang bagong alak, nabulok ang ubasan, lahat ng masasayang puso ay naghihinagpis.

8 The gladness of the drums has ceased. The sound of rejoicing has quieted. The sweetness of stringed instruments has been silenced.

Huminto ang masayang tunog ng mga tamburin, at ang maingay at magulong pagsasaya ng mga nagdidiwang; ang kagalakan ng mga lira ay naglalaho.

9 They will not drink wine with a song. The drink will be bitter to those who drink it.

Hindi na sila umiinom ng alak at nag-aawitan, at mapait ang alak sa mga umiinom nito.

10 The city of vanity has been worn away. Every house has been closed up; no one enters.

Bumagsak ang lungsod ng kaguluhan; sarado at walang laman ang bawat bahay.

11 There will be a clamor for wine in the streets. All rejoicing has been abandoned. The gladness of the earth has been carried away.

Sa bawat lansangan ay may umiiyak dahil sa alak; nagdilim ang lahat ng kagalakan, ang kasiyahan sa lupa ay naglaho.

12 Solitude is what remains in the city, and calamity will overwhelm its gates.

Isang lagim na lungsod ang naiwan, at ang tarangkahan ay basag sa pagkawasak.

13 For so shall it be in the midst of the earth, in the midst of the people: it is as if the few remaining olives are being shaken from the olive tree, and it is like a few clusters of grapes, when the grape harvest has already ended.

Dahil ito ang mangyayari sa buong mundo sa kalagitnaan ng mga bansa, gaya ng pagpalo sa puno ng olibo, gaya ng pamumulot ng mga natira nang matapos ang pag-ani ng ubas.

14 These few shall lift up their voice and give praise. When the Lord will have been glorified, they will make a joyful noise from the sea.

Ilalakas nila ang kanilang mga boses at isisigaw ang kapurihan ni Yahweh, at magagalak silang sisigaw mula sa dagat.

15 Because of this, glorify the Lord in doctrine: the name of the Lord, the God of Israel, in the islands of the sea.

Kaya sa silangan luluwalhatiin si Yahweh, at sa maliliit na mga pulo ng dagat magbigay ng kaluwalhatian sa pangalan ni Yahweh, ang Diyos ng Israel.

16 From the ends of the earth, we have heard the praises of the glory of the Just One. And I said: “My secret is for myself! My secret is for myself! Woe to me! Those who would betray us have betrayed us, and they have betrayed us with the betrayal of transgression.”

Mula sa pinakamalayong bahagi ng mundo aming narinig ang mga awit, “Kaluwalhatian sa matuwid!” Pero sinabi ko, “Sinayang ko lang, sinayang ko lang, kasawian ay sa akin! Ang taksil ay gumagawa ng pagtataksil; oo, ang taksil ay gumagawa ng matinding pagtataksil.”

17 Dread, and the pit, and the snare are over you, O inhabitant of the earth!

Matinding takot, ang hukay, at ang patibong ang sasainyo, mga naninirahan sa mundo.

18 And this shall be: whoever will flee from the voice of dread will fall into the pit. And whoever will extricate himself from the pit will be caught in the snare. For the floodgates from above have been opened, and the foundations of the earth will be shaken.

Siyang tumakas mula sa tunog ng takot ang mahuhulog sa hukay, at siyang umahon sa kalagitnaan ng hukay ay mahuhuhli sa silo. Magbubukas ang bintana ng kalangitan, at ang pundasyon ng mundo ay mayayanig.

19 The earth will be utterly broken! The earth will be utterly crushed! The earth will be utterly shaken!

Ang mundo ay ganap na masisira. ang mundo ay mahahati sa gitna; ang mundo ay marahas na mayayanig.

20 The earth will stagger greatly, like a drunken man, and will be carried away, like the tent of a single night. And its iniquity will be heavy upon it, and it will fall and not rise up again.

Ang mundo ay magsusuray-suray tulad ng isang lasing na lalaki at gumigiwang-giwang at pabalik-ballik tulad ng isang duyan. Ang kasalanan nito ay magiging mabigat dito, at babagsak ito at hindi na muling babangon.

21 And this shall be: in that day, the Lord will visit upon the armies of the sky above, and upon the kings of the earth who are on the ground.

Darating ang araw na paparusahan ni Yahweh ang hukbo na dakila sa kataas-taasan, at mga hari ng mundo sa lupa.

22 And they will be gathered together like the gathering of one bundle into a pit. And they will be enclosed in that place, as in a prison. And after many days, they will be visited.

Sila ay sama-samang titipunin, mga bilanggo sa hukay, at ikukulong sa isang bilangguan; at pagkatapos ng maraming araw sila ay hahatulan.

23 And the moon will be ashamed, and the sun will be confounded, when the Lord of hosts will reign on mount Zion and in Jerusalem, and when he will have been glorified in the sight of his elders.

At ang buwan ay mahihiya, at ang araw ay mapapahiya, dahil si Yahweh ng mga hukbo ay maghahari sa Bundok Sion at sa Jerusalem, at sa harap ng kaniyang nakatatanda sa kaluwalhatian.
