Hebrews 9
1 Certainly, the former also had the justifications of worship and a holy place for that age.
O sistema antigo tinha orientações sobre como adorar e um santuário construído pelos homens.
2 For a tabernacle was made at first, in which were the lampstand, and the table, and the bread of the Presence, which is called Holy.
A primeira sala na Tenda guardava o castiçal, a mesa e o pão sagrado. Esse era o chamado Santo Lugar.
3 Then, beyond the second veil, was the tabernacle, which is called the Holy of Holies,
Ao passar a segunda cortina na Tenda, havia a sala chamada Lugar Santíssimo.
4 having a golden censer, and the ark of the testament, covered all around and on every part with gold, in which was a golden urn containing manna, and the rod of Aaron which had blossomed, and the tablets of the testament.
A esse lugar pertencia um altar de ouro, onde se queimava o incenso, e onde estava colocada a “arca do acordo”, coberta de ouro. Dentro da arca havia um pote de ouro, contendo maná, o bastão de Arão, que tinha produzido brotos, e as inscrições do acordo em placas de pedra.
5 And over the ark were the Cherubim of glory, overshadowing the propitiatory. There is not enough time to speak about each of these things.
Em cima da arca, havia os gloriosos querubins, que cobriam com a sua sombra o local de reconciliação. Não há como discutirmos em detalhes esse assunto agora.
6 Yet truly, once such things were placed together, in the first part of the tabernacle, the priests were, indeed, continually entering, so as to carry out the duties of the sacrifices.
Depois que tudo isso foi construído, os sacerdotes iam regularmente para a primeira sala da Tenda, para cumprirem as suas obrigações.
7 But into the second part, once a year, the high priest alone entered, not without blood, which he offered on behalf of the neglectful offenses of himself and of the people.
Mas, apenas o grande sacerdote entrava na segunda sala e apenas uma vez ao ano. Ainda assim, ele precisava fazer um sacrifício que envolvesse sangue, que era oferecido tanto para os seus próprios pecados de ignorância quanto para os do povo.
8 In this way, the Holy Spirit is signifying that the way to what is most holy was not yet made manifest, not while the first tabernacle was still standing.
Com isso tudo, o Espírito Santo indicou que, enquanto a primeira Tenda ainda existisse, o caminho para o Santo Lugar ainda não seria revelado.
9 And this is a parable for the present time. Accordingly, those gifts and sacrifices that are offered are not able, as concerns the conscience, to make perfect those things that serve only as food and drink,
Isso é um exemplo para nós hoje, pois nos mostra que as ofertas e os sacrifícios que são oferecidos não conseguem tornar mais clara a consciência de quem adora.
10 as well as the various washings and justices of the flesh, which were imposed upon them until the time of correction.
Essas coisas não passam de regulamentos religiosos a respeito de alimentos e bebidas e de várias cerimônias que envolvem limpeza. E esses regulamentos foram usados até o momento em que nos foi revelado o novo meio que Deus escolheu para que nos relacionássemos com Ele.
11 But Christ, standing as the High Priest of future good things, through a greater and more perfect tabernacle, one not made by hand, that is, not of this creation,
Porém, Cristo veio como um grande sacerdote de todas as boas experiências que temos agora. Ele entrou na mais importante e mais completa das Tendas, a qual não foi feita por mãos humanas e que não faz parte deste mundo criado.
12 entered once into the Holy of Holies, having obtained eternal redemption, neither by the blood of goats, nor of calves, but by his own blood. (aiōnios g166)
Ele não entrou por meio do sangue de bodes e de bezerros, mas pelo seu próprio sangue. Ele entrou apenas uma vez, para todo o sempre, no Santuário, fazendo com que ficássemos livres para sempre. (aiōnios g166)
13 For if the blood of goats and oxen, and the ashes of a calf, when these are sprinkled, sanctify those who have been defiled, in order to cleanse the flesh,
Pois se o sangue de bodes e de touros, e as cinzas de uma vaca, jogadas sobre aqueles que estão ritualmente impuros, tornavam o corpo cerimonialmente limpo,
14 how much more will the blood of Christ, who through the Holy Spirit has offered himself, immaculate, to God, cleanse our conscience from dead works, in order to serve the living God? (aiōnios g166)
imaginem, então, o que o sangue de Cristo não faz! Por meio do Espírito eterno, Jesus se ofereceu a Deus como sacrifício sem defeito. E o sangue de Jesus purifica a consciência de vocês daquela vida antiga entregue aos pecados, para que, assim, possam servir ao Deus vivo. (aiōnios g166)
15 And thus he is the Mediator of the new testament, so that, by his death, he intercedes for the redemption of those transgressions which were under the former testament, so that those who have been called may receive the promise of an eternal inheritance. (aiōnios g166)
É por isso que ele é o mediador de uma nova relação combinada entre os homens e Deus. Por ter ocorrido morte para libertá-los dos pecados cometidos na primeira relação combinada, os que são chamados agora podem receber a herança eterna prometida por Deus. (aiōnios g166)
16 For where there is a testament, it is necessary for the death of the one who testifies to intervene.
Pois, para que um testamento seja concretizado, a pessoa que o fez deve estar morta.
17 For a testament is confirmed by death. Otherwise, it as yet has no force, as long as the one who testifies lives.
Um testamento só é válido quando a morte tiver ocorrido. E ele nunca é realmente executado, enquanto a pessoa que o fez estiver viva.
18 Therefore, indeed, the first was not dedicated without blood.
E é por isso que o primeiro acordo foi selado com sangue.
19 For when every commandment of the law had been read by Moses to the entire people, he took up the blood of calves and goats, with water and with scarlet wool and hyssop, and he sprinkled both the book itself and the entire people,
Depois que Moisés deu todos os mandamentos da lei para todas as pessoas, ele pegou o sangue de bezerros e de bodes e misturou com água, usou lã tingida de vermelho e hissopo para borrifar essa mistura no próprio livro e também em todas as pessoas.
20 saying: “This is the blood of the testament which God has commanded for you.”
Ele lhes disse: “Este é o sangue da relação combinada que Deus lhes disse querer ter com vocês.”
21 And even the tabernacle, and all the vessels for the ministry, he similarly sprinkled with blood.
Moisés também borrifou o sangue na Tenda e sobre todos os objetos usados na adoração.
22 And nearly everything, according to the law, is to be cleansed with blood. And without the shedding of blood, there is no remission.
De acordo com a lei cerimonial, quase tudo se torna puro com sangue. E, caso não haja derramamento de sangue, nada se torna ritualmente livre da mancha do pecado.
23 Therefore, it is necessary for the examples of heavenly things to be cleansed, just as, indeed, these things were. Yet the heavenly things are themselves better sacrifices than these.
Então, se as cópias do que está no céu precisavam ser purificadas dessa forma, as coisas no céu precisavam ser purificadas por meio de sacrifícios bem superiores.
24 For Jesus did not enter by means of holy things made with hands, mere examples of the true things, but he entered into Heaven itself, so that he may appear now before the face of God for us.
Pois Cristo não entrou em santuário construído por mãos humanas, o qual é apenas um modelo do original. Ele entrou no próprio céu e, agora, aparece em nosso nome, falando a nosso favor na presença de Deus.
25 And he did not enter so as to offer himself repeatedly, as the high priest enters into the Holy of Holies each year, with the blood of another.
Jesus não iria se oferecer em sacrifício, repetidamente, como um grande sacerdote humano, que entra no Lugar Santíssimo, ano após ano, oferecendo um sangue que não é o seu.
26 Otherwise, he would need to have suffered repeatedly since the beginning of the world. But now, one time, at the consummation of the ages, he has appeared in order to destroy sin though his own sacrifice. (aiōn g165)
Caso contrário, Cristo teria sofrido muitas vezes desde a criação do mundo. Não! Apenas desta vez, no fim desta era, ele veio para tirar os pecados por meio do seu próprio sacrifício. (aiōn g165)
27 And in the same manner as it has been appointed for men to die one time, and after this, to be judged,
Exatamente como os seres humanos morrem apenas uma vez e, depois, são julgados por Deus,
28 so also Christ was offered, one time, in order to empty the sins of so many. He shall appear a second time without sin, for those who await him, unto salvation.
o mesmo vale para Cristo. Ele foi sacrificado apenas uma vez, para tirar os pecados de muitas pessoas. Depois, ele retornará, porém, não para tirar os pecados, mas para salvar aqueles que esperam por Ele.
