Genesis 5

1 This is the book of the lineage of Adam. In the day that God created man, he made him to the likeness of God.

१आदामाच्या वंशावळीची नोंद अशी आहे. देवाने मनुष्य निर्माण केला त्या दिवशी त्याने आपल्या प्रतिरूपाचा म्हणजे आपल्यासारखा तो केला.

2 He created them, male and female; and he blessed them. And he called their name Adam, in the day when they were created.

२त्यांना नर व नारी असे उत्पन्न केले. त्यांना आशीर्वाद दिला व त्यांना निर्माण केले त्या वेळी त्यांना आदाम हे नाव दिले.

3 Then Adam lived for one hundred and thirty years. And then he conceived a son in his own image and likeness, and he called his name Seth.

३आदाम एकशे तीस वर्षांचा झाल्यावर त्यास त्याच्या प्रतिरूपाचा म्हणजे त्याच्या सारखा दिसणारा मुलगा झाला. त्याने त्याचे नाव शेथ ठेवले;

4 And after he conceived Seth, the days of Adam that passed were eight hundred years. And he conceived sons and daughters.

४शेथ जन्मल्यानंतर आदाम आठशे वर्षे जगला आणि या काळात त्यास आणखी मुले व मुली झाल्या.

5 And all the time that passed while Adam lived was nine hundred and thirty years, and then he died.

५अशा रीतीने आदाम एकंदर नऊशें तीस वर्षे जगला; नंतर तो मरण पावला.

6 Seth likewise lived for one hundred and five years, and then he conceived Enos.

६शेथ एकशे पाच वर्षांचा झाल्यावर त्यास अनोश झाला

7 And after he conceived Enos, Seth lived for eight hundred and seven years, and he conceived sons and daughters.

७अनोश झाल्यानंतर शेथ आठशेसात वर्षे जगला, त्या काळात त्यास आणखी मुले व मुली झाल्या;

8 And all the days of Seth that passed were nine hundred and twelve years, and then he died.

८शेथ एकंदर नऊशेंबारा वर्षे जगला, मग तो मरण पावला.

9 In truth, Enos lived ninety years, and then he conceived Cainan.

९अनोश नव्वद वर्षांचा झाल्यावर त्यास केनान झाला;

10 After his birth, he lived eight hundred and fifteen years, and he conceived sons and daughters.

१०केनान झाल्यानंतर अनोश आठशेपंधरा वर्षे जगला; त्या काळात त्यास आणखी मुले व मुली झाल्या;

11 And all the days of Enos that passed were nine hundred and five years, and then he died.

११अनोश एकंदर नऊशेंपाच वर्षे जगला; त्यानंतर तो मरण पावला.

12 Likewise, Cainan lived seventy years, and then he conceived Mahalalel.

१२केनान सत्तर वर्षांचा झाल्यावर तो महललेलाचा पिता झाला;

13 And after he conceived Mahalalel, Cainan lived for eight hundred and forty years, and he conceived sons and daughters.

१३महललेल झाल्यावर केनान आठशेचाळीस वर्षे जगला; त्या काळात त्यास आणखी मुले व मुली झाल्या;

14 And all the days of Cainan that passed were nine hundred and ten years, and then he died.

१४केनान एकंदर नऊशेंदहा वर्षे जगला, नंतर तो मरण पावला.

15 And Mahalalel lived sixty-five years, and then he conceived Jared.

१५महललेल पासष्ट वर्षांचा झाल्यावर तो यारेदाचा पिता झाला;

16 And after he conceived Jared, Mahalalel lived for eight hundred and thirty years, and he conceived sons and daughters.

१६यारेद जन्मल्यानंतर महललेल आठशेतीस वर्षे जगला; त्या काळात त्यास आणखी मुले व मुली झाल्या;

17 And all the days of Mahalalel that passed were eight hundred and ninety-five years, and then he died.

१७महललेल एकंदर आठशे पंचाण्णव वर्षे जगला; त्यानंतर तो मरण पावला.

18 And Jared lived for one hundred and sixty-two years, and then he conceived Enoch.

१८यारेद एकशे बासष्ट वर्षांचा झाल्यावर तो हनोखाचा पिता झाला;

19 And after he conceived Enoch, Jared lived for eight hundred years, and he conceived sons and daughters.

१९हनोख झाल्यावर यारेद आठशे वर्षे जगला; त्या काळात त्यास आणखी मुले व मुली झाल्या;

20 And all the days of Jared that passed were nine hundred and sixty-two years, and then he died.

२०यारेद एकंदर नऊशें बासष्ट वर्षे जगला; त्यानंतर तो मरण पावला.

21 Now Enoch lived for sixty-five years, and then he conceived Methuselah.

२१हनोख पासष्ट वर्षांचा झाल्यावर त्यास मथुशलह झाला;

22 And Enoch walked with God. And after he conceived Methuselah, he lived for three hundred years, and he conceived sons and daughters.

२२मथुशलह जन्मल्यावर हनोख तीनशे वर्षे देवाबरोबर चालला. त्या काळात त्यास आणखी मुले व मुली झाल्या;

23 And all the days of Enoch that passed were three hundred and sixty-five years.

२३हनोख एकंदर तीनशे पासष्ट वर्षे जगला;

24 And he walked with God, and then he was seen no more, because God took him.

२४हनोख देवाबरोबर चालला, आणि त्यानंतर तो दिसला नाही, कारण देवाने त्यास नेले.

25 Likewise, Methuselah lived for one hundred and eighty-seven years, and then he conceived Lamech.

२५मथुशलह एकशेसत्याऐंशी वर्षांचा झाल्यावर लामेखाचा पिता झाला.

26 And after he conceived Lamech, Methuselah lived for seven hundred and eighty-two years, and he conceived sons and daughters.

२६लामेखाच्या जन्मानंतर मथुशलह सातशे ब्याऐंशी वर्षे जगला. त्या काळात त्यास आणखी मुले व मुली झाल्या.

27 And all the days of Methuselah that passed were nine hundred and sixty-nine years, and then he died.

२७मथुशलह एकंदर नऊशें ऐकोणसत्तर वर्षे जगला. त्यानंतर तो मरण पावला.

28 Then Lamech lived for one hundred and eighty-two years, and he conceived a son.

२८लामेख एकशेब्यांऐशी वर्षांचा झाल्यावर तो एका मुलाचा पिता झाला.

29 And he called his name Noah, saying, “This one will console us from the works and hardships of our hands, in the land that the Lord has cursed.”

२९लामेखाने त्याचे नाव नोहा ठेवून म्हटले, परमेश्वराने भूमी शापित केली आहे तिच्यापासून येणाऱ्या कामात आणि आमच्या हातांच्या श्रमात हाच आम्हांला विसावा देईल.

30 And after he conceived Noah, Lamech lived for five hundred and ninety-five years, and he conceived sons and daughters.

३०नोहा झाल्यावर लामेख पाचशे पंचाण्णव वर्षे जगला; त्या काळात त्यास आणखी मुले व मुली झाल्या.

31 And all the days of Lamech that passed were seven hundred and seventy-seven years, and then he died.

३१लामेख एकंदर सातशे सत्याहत्तर वर्षे जगला. नंतर तो मरण पावला.

32 In truth, when Noah was five hundred years old, he conceived Shem, Ham, and Japheth.

३२नोहा पाचशे वर्षांचा झाल्यावर त्यास शेम, हाम व याफेथ नावाचे पुत्र झाले.
