< Genesis 4 >

1 Truly, Adam knew his wife Eve, who conceived and gave birth to Cain, saying, “I have obtained a man through God.”
Adamu ya kwana da matarsa Hawwa’u, ta kuwa yi ciki ta haifi Kayinu. Sai ta ce, “Da taimakon Ubangiji na sami ɗa namiji.”
2 And again she gave birth to his brother Abel. But Abel was a pastor of sheep, and Cain was a farmer.
Daga baya ta haifi ɗan’uwansa, ta kuma ba shi suna Habila. Sa’ad da suka yi girma sai Habila ya zama makiyayin tumaki, Kayinu kuwa ya zama manomi.
3 Then it happened, after many days, that Cain offered gifts to the Lord, from the fruits of the earth.
Ana nan sai Kayinu ya kawo waɗansu amfanin gona a matsayin hadaya ga Ubangiji.
4 Abel likewise offered from the firstborn of his flock, and from their fat. And the Lord looked with favor on Abel and his gifts.
Amma Habila ya kawo mafi kyau daga’ya’yan fari na garkensa. Ubangiji ya yi farin ciki da sadakar da Habila ya kawo,
5 Yet in truth, he did not look with favor on Cain and his gifts. And Cain was vehemently angry, and his countenance fell.
amma bai yi farin ciki da sadakar da Kayinu ya kawo ba. Saboda haka Kayinu ya ji fushi sosai, fuskarsa kuma ta ɓace.
6 And the Lord said to him: “Why are you angry? And why is your face fallen?
Sai Ubangiji ya ce wa Kayinu, “Don me kake fushi? Don me fuskarka ta ɓace?
7 If you behave well, will you not receive? But if you behave badly, will not sin at once be present at the door? And so its desire will be within you, and you will be dominated by it.”
Da ka yi abin da yake daidai, ai, da ka sami karɓuwa. Amma tun da ba ka yi abin da ba daidai ba, zunubi zai yi fakonka don yă rinjaye ka kamar naman jeji. Yana so yă mallake ka, amma tilas ka rinjaye shi.”
8 And Cain said to his brother Abel, “Let us go outside.” And when they were in the field, Cain rose up against his brother Abel, and he put him to death.
To, Kayinu ya ce wa ɗan’uwansa Habila, “Mu tafi gona.” Yayinda suke a gona, sai Kayinu ya tasar wa Habila ya buge shi ya kashe.
9 And the Lord said to Cain, “Where is your brother Abel?” And he responded: “I do not know. Am I my brother’s keeper?”
Sai Ubangiji ya ce wa Kayinu, “Ina ɗan’uwanka Habila?” Sai Kayinu ya ce, “Ban sani ba, ni mai gadin ɗan’uwana ne?”
10 And he said to him: “What have you done? The voice of your brother’s blood cries out to me from the land.
Ubangiji ya ce, “Me ke nan ka yi? Saurara! Ga jinin ɗan’uwanka yana mini kuka daga ƙasa.
11 Now, therefore, you will be cursed upon the land, which opened its mouth and received the blood of your brother at your hand.
Yanzu, kai la’ananne ne, an kuma kore ka daga ƙasa wadda ta buɗe bakinta ta shanye jinin ɗan’uwanka daga hannunka.
12 When you work it, it will not give you its fruit; a vagrant and a fugitive shall you be upon the land.”
In ka nome ƙasa, ba za tă ƙara ba ka hatsinta ba. Za ka kuma zama mai yawo barkatai a duniya.”
13 And Cain said to the Lord: “My iniquity is too great to deserve kindness.
Kayinu ya ce wa Ubangiji, “Horon nan ya sha ƙarfina.
14 Behold, you have cast me out this day before the face of the earth, and from your face I will be hidden; and I will be a vagrant and a fugitive on the earth. Therefore, anyone who finds me will kill me.”
Ga shi, yau kana kori na daga ƙasar, zan zama a ɓoye daga fuskarka, zan kuma zama mai yawo barkatai, duk wanda ya same ni kuwa zai kashe ni.”
15 And the Lord said to him: “By no means will it be so; rather, whoever would kill Cain, will be punished sevenfold.” And the Lord placed a seal upon Cain, so that anyone who found him would not put him to death.
Amma Ubangiji ya ce masa, “Ba haka ba ne! Duk wanda ya kashe Kayinu, za a ninƙa hukuncinsa har sau bakwai.” Sa’an nan Ubangiji ya sa wa Kayinu alama don duk wanda ya same shi kada yă kashe shi.
16 And so Cain, departing from the face of the Lord, lived as a fugitive on the earth, toward the eastern region of Eden.
Saboda haka Kayinu ya yi tafiyarsa ya rabu da Ubangiji, ya je ya zauna ƙasar Nod a gabashin Eden.
17 Then Cain knew his wife, and she conceived and gave birth to Enoch. And he built a city, and he called its name by the name of his son, Enoch.
Kayinu ya kwana da matarsa, ta kuwa yi ciki, ta haifi Enok. A lokacin Kayinu yana gina birni, sai ya sa wa birnin sunan ɗansa Enok.
18 Thereafter, Enoch conceived Irad, and Irad conceived Mahujael, and Mahujael conceived Mathusael, and Mathusael conceived Lamech.
Aka haifa wa Enok Irad, Irad kuma ya haifi Mehujayel, Mehujayel kuma ya haifi Metushayel, Metushayel kuma ya haifin Lamek.
19 Lamech took two wives: the name of one was Adah, and the name of the other was Zillah.
Lamek ya auri mata biyu, ana ce da ɗaya Ada, ɗayan kuma Zilla.
20 And Adah conceived Jabel, who was the father of those who live in tents and are shepherds.
Ada ta haifi Yabal, shi ne mahaifi waɗanda suke zama a tentuna, suna kuma kiwon dabbobi.
21 And the name of his brother was Jubal; he was the father of those who sing to the harp and the organ.
Sunan ɗan’uwansa Yubal, shi ne mahaifin dukan makaɗan garaya da masu hura sarewa.
22 Zillah also conceived Tubalcain, who was a hammerer and artisan in every work of brass and iron. In fact, the sister of Tubalcain was Noema.
Zilla ma ta haifi ɗa, Tubal-Kayinu, shi ne wanda ya ƙera kowane iri kayan aiki daga tagulla da kuma ƙarfe.’Yar’uwar Tubal-Kayinu ita ce Na’ama.
23 And Lamech said to his wives Adah and Zillah: “Listen to my voice, you wives of Lamech, pay attention to my speech. For I have killed a man to my own harm, and an adolescent to my own bruising.
Wata rana, Lamek ya ce wa matansa, Ada da Zilla, “Ku saurara, matan Lamek, ku ji maganata. Na kashe wani saboda ya yi mini rauni, na kashe wani saurayi saboda ya ji mini ciwo.
24 Sevenfold vengeance will be given for Cain, but for Lamech, seventy-seven times.”
Idan za a rama wa Kayinu har sau bakwai, lalle za a rama wa Lamek sau saba’in da bakwai ke nan.”
25 Adam also knew his wife again, and she gave birth to a son, and she called his name Seth, saying, “God has given me another offspring, in place of Abel, whom Cain killed.”
Sai Adamu ya sāke kwana da matarsa, ta haifi ɗa, aka kuma ba shi suna Set, gama ta ce, “Allah ya ba ni wani yaro a madadin Habila, tun da yake Kayinu ya kashe shi.”
26 But to Seth also was born a son, whom he called Enos. This one began to invoke the name of the Lord.
Set ma ya haifi ɗa, ya kuma kira shi Enosh. A lokaci ne, mutane suka fara kira ga sunan Ubangiji.
