Colossians 1
1 Paul, an Apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God, and Timothy, a brother,
Pablo, apóstol de Jesu Cristo por la voluntad de Dios, y el hermano Timoteo,
2 to the saints and faithful brothers in Christ Jesus who are at Colossae.
A los santos y hermanos fieles en Cristo que están en Colosas: Gracia a vosotros y paz de Dios Padre nuestro, y del Señor Jesu Cristo.
3 Grace and peace to you, from God our Father and from the Lord Jesus Christ. We give thanks to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, praying for you always.
Damos gracias al Dios y Padre de nuestro Señor Jesu Cristo, orando siempre por vosotros:
4 For we have heard of your faith in Christ Jesus, and of the love that you have toward all the saints,
Habiendo oído de vuestra fe en Cristo Jesús, y del amor que tenéis para con todos los santos,
5 because of the hope that has been stored up for you in heaven, which you have heard through the Word of Truth in the Gospel.
A causa de la esperanza que os es guardada en los cielos: de la cual habéis oído ya por la palabra verdadera del evangelio:
6 This has reached you, just as it is present in the whole world, where it grows and bears fruit, as it has also done in you, since the day when you first heard and knew the grace of God in truth,
El cual ha llegado hasta vosotros, como también ha pasado por todo el mundo; y fructifica, y crece, como también en vosotros, desde el día en que oísteis, y conocisteis la gracia de Dios en verdad:
7 just as you learned it from Epaphras, our most beloved fellow servant, who is for you a faithful minister of Christ Jesus.
Como también habéis aprendido de Epafras, consiervo amado nuestro, el cual es por vosotros fiel ministro de Cristo;
8 And he has also manifested to us your love in the Spirit.
El cual también nos ha declarado vuestro amor en el Espíritu.
9 Then, too, from the day when we first heard it, we have not ceased praying for you and requesting that you be filled with the knowledge of his will, with all wisdom and spiritual understanding,
Por lo cual también nosotros, desde el día que lo oímos, no cesamos de orar por vosotros, y de pedir que seáis llenos del conocimiento de su voluntad, en toda sabiduría y entendimiento espiritual;
10 so that you may walk in a manner worthy of God, being pleasing in all things, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God,
Para que andéis como es digno del Señor, agradándo le en todo, fructificando en toda buena obra, y creciendo en el conocimiento de Dios:
11 being strengthened in every virtue, in accord with the power of his glory, with all patience and longsuffering, with joy,
Corroborados de toda fortaleza, conforme a la potencia de su gloria, para toda paciencia y longanimidad con gozo:
12 giving thanks to God the Father, who has made us worthy to have a share in the portion of the saints, in the light.
Dando gracias al Padre que nos hizo idóneos para participar en la herencia de los santos en luz:
13 For he has rescued us from the power of darkness, and he has transferred us into the kingdom of the Son of his love,
El cual nos libró de la potestad de las tinieblas, y nos traspasó al reino del Hijo de su amor,
14 in whom we have redemption through his blood, the remission of sins.
En quien tenemos redención por su sangre, remisión de pecados:
15 He is the image of the invisible God, the first-born of every creature.
El cual es imagen del Dios invisible, el primogénito de toda la creación.
16 For in him was created everything in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones, or dominations, or principalities, or powers. All things were created through him and in him.
Porque en él fueron creadas todas las cosas que están en los cielos, y que están en la tierra, visibles e invisibles, sean tronos, sean señoríos, sean principados, sean potestades: todo fue creado por él, y para él.
17 And he is before all, and in him all things continue.
Y él es antes de todas las cosas; y todas las cosas subsisten en él;
18 And he is the head of his body, the Church. He is the beginning, the first-born from the dead, so that in all things he may hold primacy.
Y él es la cabeza del cuerpo, a saber, de la iglesia: el cual es principio y primogénito de entre los muertos, para que en todo tenga él el primado.
19 For the Father is well-pleased that all fullness reside in him,
Por cuanto agradó al Padre que en él habitase toda plenitud;
20 and that, through him, all things be reconciled to himself, making peace through the blood of his cross, for the things that are on earth, as well as the things that are in heaven.
Y que por él reconciliase todas las cosas a sí, habiendo hecho la paz por la sangre de su cruz, por él, digo, así las que están en la tierra, como las que están en los cielos.
21 And you, though you had been, in times past, understood to be foreigners and enemies, with works of evil,
Y a vosotros también, que eráis en otro tiempo extraños, y enemigos de sentido por las malas obras, ahora empero os ha reconciliado
22 yet now he has reconciled you, by his body of flesh, through death, so as to offer you, holy and immaculate and blameless, before him.
En el cuerpo de su carne por medio de la muerte, para presentaros santos, y sin mancha, e irreprensibles delante de él:
23 So then, continue in the faith: well-founded and steadfast and immovable, by the hope of the Gospel that you have heard, which has been preached throughout all creation under heaven, the Gospel of which I, Paul, have become a minister.
Si empero permanecéis fundados, y afirmados en la fe, y sin moveros de la esperanza del evangelio que habéis oído, el cual es predicado a toda criatura que está debajo del cielo: del cual yo Pablo soy hecho ministro.
24 For now I rejoice in my passion on your behalf, and I complete in my flesh the things that are lacking in the Passion of Christ, for the sake of his body, which is the Church.
Que ahora me regocijo en lo que padezco por vosotros, y cumplo en mi carne lo que falta de las aflicciones de Cristo por amor de su cuerpo, que es la iglesia:
25 For I have become a minister of the Church, according to the dispensation of God that has been given to me among you, so that I may fulfill the Word of God,
De la cual soy hecho ministro según la dispensación de Dios, la cual me es dada por vosotros, para que cumpla la palabra de Dios:
26 the mystery which had remained hidden to past ages and generations, but which now is manifested to his saints. (aiōn g165)
Es a saber, el misterio escondido desde los siglos y edades; mas que ahora ha sido manifestado a sus santos, (aiōn g165)
27 To them, God willed to make known the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles, which is Christ and the hope of his glory within you.
A los cuales quiso Dios hacer notorias las riquezas de la gloria de este misterio entre los Gentiles, que es Cristo en vosotros, esperanza de gloria.
28 We are announcing him, correcting every man and teaching every man, with all wisdom, so that we may offer every man perfect in Christ Jesus.
A quien nosotros predicamos, amonestando a todo hombre, y enseñando a todo hombre con toda sabiduría, para que presentemos a todo hombre perfecto en Cristo Jesús:
29 In him, too, I labor, striving according to his action within me, which he works in virtue.
A cuyo fin también yo trabajo, luchando según la energía de él, la cual obra en mí poderosamente.
