Amos 1
1 The words of Amos, who was among the shepherds of Tekoa, which he saw about Israel in the days of Uzziah king of Judah, and in the days of Jeroboam the son of Joash king of Israel, two years before the earthquake.
আমোষের বাণী। তিনি ছিলেন তকোয়ের একজন মেষপালক। তিনি যিহূদার রাজা উষিয়ের সময়ে ও যিহোয়াশের পুত্র ইস্রায়েলের রাজা যারবিয়ামের রাজত্বকালে, ভূমিকম্পের দুই বছর আগে ইস্রায়েল সম্পর্কে এই দর্শন পান।
2 And he said: The Lord will roar from Zion, and from Jerusalem he will utter his voice. And the beautiful pastures have mourned, and the top of Carmel has become dry.
তিনি বললেন, “সদাপ্রভু সিয়োন থেকে গর্জন করছেন, তিনি জেরুশালেম থেকে শোনাচ্ছেন বজ্রধ্বনি; মেষপালকদের চারণভূমিগুলি শুকিয়ে যাচ্ছে, কর্মিলের শিখরস্থান শুকনো হচ্ছে।”
3 Thus says the Lord: For three wicked deeds of Damascus, and for four, I will not convert it, in so far as they have threshed Gilead into iron wagons.
সদাপ্রভু এই কথা বলেন: “দামাস্কাসের তিনটি পাপের জন্য, এমনকি, চারটির জন্য, আমি আমার ক্রোধ ফিরিয়ে নেব না। কারণ সে লোহার দাঁতযুক্ত শস্য মাড়াই কল দিয়ে গিলিয়দকে চূর্ণ করেছে।
4 And I will send fire onto the house of Hazael, and it will devour the houses of Ben-hadad.
আমি হসায়েল কুলের উপরে আগুন পাঠাব, তা বিন্হদদের দুর্গগুলি গ্রাস করবে।
5 And I will shatter the crowbar of Damascus, and I will destroy the inhabitants of the camp of the idol and the holder of the scepter of the house of pleasure; and the people of Syria will be transferred to Cyrene, says the Lord.
আমি দামাস্কাসের তোরণদ্বার ভেঙে ফেলব; আমি আবন-উপত্যকায় স্থিত রাজাকে ধ্বংস করব এবং তাকেও করব, যে বেথ-এদনে রাজদণ্ড ধারণ করে। অরাম দেশের লোকেরা কীরে নির্বাসিত হবে,” সদাপ্রভু বলেন।
6 Thus says the Lord: For three wicked deeds of Gaza, and for four, I will not convert it, in so far as they have carried out an excellent captivity, so as to enclose them in Idumea.
সদাপ্রভু এই কথা বলেন: “গাজার তিনটি পাপের জন্য, এমনকি, চারটির জন্য, আমি আমার ক্রোধ ফিরিয়ে নেব না। কারণ সে সমস্ত সমাজকে বন্দি করে ইদোমের কাছে তাদের বিক্রি করেছিল।
7 And I will send a fire onto the wall of Gaza, and it will devour its buildings.
আমি গাজার প্রাচীরগুলির উপরে আগুন পাঠাব, তা তার দুর্গগুলিকে গ্রাস করবে।
8 And I will destroy the inhabitant from Ashdod, and the holder of the scepter of Ashkelon. And I will turn my hand against Ekron, and the remainder of the Philistines will perish, says the Lord God.
আমি অস্দোদের রাজাকে ধ্বংস করব, অস্কিলোনের রাজদণ্ডধারীকেও করব। আমি ইক্রোণের বিপক্ষে আমার হাত প্রসারিত করব, যতক্ষণ না শেষতম ফিলিস্তিনীর মৃত্যু হয়,” সার্বভৌম সদাপ্রভু বলেন।
9 Thus says the Lord: For three wicked deeds of Tyre, and for four, I will not convert it, in so far as they have completed an excellent captivity in Idumea and have not considered the bond among brothers.
সদাপ্রভু এই কথা বলেন: “সোরের তিনটি পাপের জন্য, এমনকি চারটির জন্য, আমি আমার ক্রোধ ফিরিয়ে নেব না। যেহেতু সে ভ্রাতৃত্বের চুক্তি অগ্রাহ্য করে বন্দিদের সবাইকে ইদোমের কাছে বিক্রি করেছিল,
10 And I will send a fire onto the wall of Tyre, and it will devour its buildings.
তাই আমি সোরের প্রাচীরগুলিতে আগুন পাঠাব, তা তার দুর্গগুলিকে গ্রাস করবে।”
11 Thus says the Lord: For three wicked deeds of Edom, and for four, I will not convert him, in so far as he has been pursuing his brother with the sword and has outraged his brother’s compassion, and he has gone beyond his anger and has held onto his indignation until the end.
সদাপ্রভু এই কথা বলেন: “ইদোমের তিনটি পাপের জন্য, এমনকি, চারটির জন্য, আমি আমার ক্রোধ ফিরিয়ে নেব না। যেহেতু সে তরোয়াল নিয়ে তার ভাইকে তাড়া করেছিল এবং দেশের মহিলাদের হত্যা করেছিল, কারণ তার ক্রোধ অবিরাম বৃদ্ধি পেয়েছিল, তার কোপ অবারিতভাবে জ্বলে উঠেছিল।
12 I will send a fire onto Teman, and it will devour the buildings of Bozrah.

13 Thus says the Lord: For three wicked deeds of the sons of Ammon, and for four, I will not convert him, in so far as he has cut up the pregnant women of Gilead, so as to expand his limits.
সদাপ্রভু এই কথা বলেন: “অম্মোনের তিনটি পাপের জন্য, এমনকি, চারটির জন্য, আমি আমার ক্রোধ ফিরিয়ে নেব না। যেহেতু সে গিলিয়দের গর্ভবতী নারীদের উদর বিদীর্ণ করেছিল, যেন সে নিজের সীমানা বৃদ্ধি করতে পারে,
14 And I will ignite a fire on the wall of Rabbah. And it will devour its buildings, with wailing on the day of war, and with a whirlwind on the day of commotion.
তাই আমি রব্বার প্রাচীরগুলিতে আগুন পাঠাব, তা তার সমস্ত দুর্গকে গ্রাস করবে যুদ্ধের দিনে রণনাদের কালে, ঝড়ের সময়ে প্রবল ঘূর্ণিবায়ুর কালে,
15 And Melchom will go into captivity, he and his leaders together, says the Lord.
তার রাজা নির্বাসিত হবে, একইসঙ্গে নির্বাসিত হবে তার কর্মকর্তারাও,” সদাপ্রভু বলেন।
