2 Corinthians 11
1 I wish that you would endure a small amount of my foolishness, so as to bear with me.
Espero que vocês consigam tolerar um pouco mais a minha insensatez. Bem, para dizer a verdade, vocês já me toleram bastante!
2 For I am jealous toward you, with the jealousy of God. And I have espoused you to one husband, offering you as a chaste virgin to Christ.
Eu me preocupo com vocês com um zelo semelhante ao que Deus tem por vocês, pois eu os prometi a um único marido, Cristo, para que eu pudesse apresentá-los como uma virgem pura para ele.
3 But I am afraid lest, as the serpent led astray Eve by his cleverness, so your minds might be corrupted and might fall away from the simplicity which is in Christ.
Mas receio que, da mesma forma como a serpente enganou Eva com a sua astúcia diabólica, vocês possam ser enganados e que seu pensamento se afaste do compromisso sincero e puro que vocês têm com Cristo.
4 For if anyone arrives preaching another Christ, one whom we have not preached; or if you receive another Spirit, one whom you have not received; or another Gospel, one which you have not been given: you might permit him to guide you.
Se alguém viesse para lhes falar a respeito de um Jesus diferente daquele que nós lhes anunciamos, vocês facilmente o seguiriam. Vocês aceitariam um espírito diferente do que aquele que receberam e um tipo diferente de evangelho do que aquele em que vocês, até então, acreditavam.
5 For I consider that I have done nothing less than the great Apostles.
Não acredito que eu seja inferior a esses “superapóstolos.”
6 For although I may be unskilled in speech, yet I am not so in knowledge. But, in all things, we have been made manifest to you.
Ainda que eu não tenha habilidade para fazer discursos extraordinários, eu sei do que estou falando com propriedade. Nós deixamos isso tudo muito bem claro para vocês, de todas as formas.
7 Or did I commit a sin by humbling myself so that you would be exalted? For I preached the Gospel of God to you freely.
Eu, por acaso, errei ao me humilhar para engrandecer vocês, anunciando o evangelho sem nada cobrar?
8 I have taken from other churches, receiving a stipend from them to the benefit of your ministry.
Eu tirei de outras igrejas por vocês, pois elas me pagaram para que eu pudesse trabalhar para vocês.
9 And when I was with you and in need, I was burdensome to no one. For the brothers who came from Macedonia supplied whatever was lacking to me. And in all things, I have kept myself, and I will keep myself, from being burdensome to you.
Quando eu estava aí com vocês e precisava de alguma coisa, não fui uma carga pesada para ninguém, pois os irmãos que vieram da Macedônia cuidavam de tudo o que eu precisava. Eu, desde o início, estava determinado a não ser, e não serei, uma carga para vocês.
10 The truth of Christ is in me, and so this glorying shall not be broken away from me in the regions of Achaia.
Isso é tão certo quanto a verdade de Cristo que está em mim: ninguém em toda a região da Acaia irá tirar o orgulho que sinto por anunciar a palavra de Deus sem cobrar nada por isso!
11 Why so? Is it because I do not love you? God knows I do.
E por quê? Por que eu não amo vocês? Deus sabe que os amo.
12 But what I am doing, I will continue to do, so that I may take away an opportunity from those who desire an opportunity by which they may glory, so as to be considered to be like us.
Eu continuarei a fazer o que sempre tenho feito, para acabar com qualquer oportunidade daqueles que querem se orgulhar, dizendo que o trabalho deles é semelhante ao nosso.
13 For false apostles, such as these deceitful workers, are presenting themselves as if they were Apostles of Christ.
Essas pessoas são falsos apóstolos, trabalhadores desonestos, que inventam ser apóstolos de Cristo.
14 And no wonder, for even Satan presents himself as if he were an Angel of light.
Não se surpreendam com isso. Afinal de contas, o próprio Satanás finge ser um anjo de luz.
15 Therefore, it is no great thing if his ministers present themselves as if they were ministers of justice, for their end shall be according to their works.
Então, não é de se admirar se aqueles que servem ao diabo finjam também ser agentes do bem. Mas, o seu destino será de acordo com o que eles fizeram.
16 I say again. And let no one consider me to be foolish. Or, at least, accept me as if I were foolish, so that I also may glory a small amount.
Deixem-me dizer isso novamente: por favor, não pensem que estou sendo louco. No entanto, mesmo se vocês pensarem isso de mim, aceitem-me como alguém que é louco e, também, deixem que eu me gabe um pouco.
17 What I am saying is not said according to God, but as if in foolishness, in this matter of glorying.
Vejam que o que eu estou dizendo não é como o Senhor me mandou dizer. Isso tudo é só orgulho tolo.
18 Since so many glory according to the flesh, I will glory also.
Mas, pelo fato de muitas pessoas estarem se gabando, por motivos bem humanos, deixem que eu me gabe também.
19 For you freely accept the foolish, though you yourselves claim to be wise.
Vocês estão felizes por tolerarem os loucos, já que são muito sábios!
20 For you permit it when someone guides you into servitude, even if he devours you, even if he takes from you, even if he is extolled, even if he strikes you repeatedly on the face.
Vocês lidam com pessoas que os tornam escravos e que tomam o que vocês têm. Não se importam por eles explorarem vocês ou por desmerecê-los de forma arrogante, além de baterem em seus rostos.
21 I speak according to disgrace, as if we had been weak in this regard. In this matter, (I speak in foolishness) if anyone dares, I dare also.
Eu sinto muito por termos sido tão fracos e não termos feito algo assim também. Mas, se as pessoas ousam se orgulhar, eu ousarei me orgulhar também, e aqui estou falando novamente como um louco.
22 They are Hebrews; so am I. They are Israelites; so am I. They are the offspring of Abraham; so am I.
Eles são hebreus? Eu também sou. Eles são israelitas? Eu também sou. Eles são descendentes de Abraão? Eu também sou.
23 They are the ministers of Christ (I speak as if I were less wise); more so am I: with many more labors, with numerous imprisonments, with wounds beyond measure, with frequent mortifications.
Eles são servos de Cristo? Sei que vou parecer um louco, falando dessa maneira, mas eu realmente fiz muito mais. Eu trabalhei muito duro, sendo preso mais vezes, chicoteado mais vezes do que pude contar, tendo encarado a morte repetidas vezes.
24 On five occasions, I received forty stripes, less one, from the Jews.
Cinco vezes eu recebi dos judeus a pena de trinta e nove chicotadas.
25 Three times, I was beaten with rods. One time, I was stoned. Three times, I was shipwrecked. For a night and a day, I was in the depths of the sea.
Três vezes me bateram com varas. Eu já fui apedrejado. E em três situações, o navio em que eu estava viajando afundou. Em uma dessas vezes, eu passei vinte e quatro horas boiando no mar.
26 I have made frequent journeys, through dangerous waters, in danger of robbers, in danger from my own nation, in danger from the Gentiles, in danger in the city, in danger in the wilderness, in danger in the sea, in danger from false brothers,
Durante as diversas viagens que fiz, enfrentei perigos que iam desde atravessar rios, ameaças de bandos de ladrões, até ataques vindos de meus próprios compatriotas e, também, de não-judeus. Tenho estado em perigo nas cidades, nos desertos e no mar, e entre pessoas que fingiam ser cristãs.
27 with hardships and difficulties, with much vigilance, in hunger and thirst, with frequent fasts, in cold and nakedness,
Trabalhei muito duro e passei por dificuldades, muitas noites sem dormir, tive fome e sede. Muitas vezes me encontrei sem ter o que comer, passei frio por não ter roupa o bastante para me aquecer.
28 and, in addition to these things, which are external: there is my daily earnestness and solicitude for all the churches.
Além disso tudo, eu lido com as preocupações diárias de trabalhar com todas as igrejas.
29 Who is weak, and I am not weak? Who is scandalized, and I am not being burned?
Quem está fraco, que eu também não me sinta fraco? Quem cai em pecado, que eu não fique muito aflito?
30 If it is necessary to glory, I will glory of the things that concern my weaknesses.
Se eu tiver que me gabar, então, eu me orgulharei por ser fraco.
31 The God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who is blessed forever, knows that I am not lying. (aiōn g165)
O Deus e Pai do Senhor Jesus, que ele seja louvado para sempre, sabe que eu não estou mentindo. (aiōn g165)
32 At Damascus, the governor of the nation under Aretas the king, watched over the city of the Damascenes, so as to apprehend me.
Enquanto eu estava em Damasco, o governante sob as ordens do rei Aretas espalhou guardas pela cidade, para me prender.
33 And, through a window, I was let down along the wall in a basket; and so I escaped his hands.
Mas, eu fui baixado em um cesto por uma abertura no muro da cidade e, assim, escapei de lá.
